I love it. Seeing how people are talking about Rellana online and Lobos casually parrying her on a whim in the middle of the fight just to try it out is great.
I finally get to enjoy my reward of watching Lobos after finally finishing the DLC myself ... it's that much sweeter watching Looby discover and destroy everything for the first time 🤩🐺
Hey Lobos! Absolutely loving your playthroughs. I just wanted to let you know that your SotE 1st playthru playlist is in reverse order. Thank you for all the awesome streams and vods!
I truly cannot believe how absolutely massive this “DLC” is. I’ve been playing for the last 2 days basically nonstop and I’m still discovering new things. The “where the fuck am I now?!” Feeling we got from the base game is back!
It's even so much more vertical and interconnected than the base game, there are so many large areas hidden behind such easy to miss paths it's amazing.
@@bayouboigaming well I personally enjoy the exploration and trying to work out how tf do you get to that castle down there or whatever, but I can see how some people might not like it.
@@bayouboigaming And it actually gave me the opposite feeling that it does in the base game. Previously you'd stumble upon 1, maybe 2 of these "holy shit, I thought this was a sidepath, but it's actually so much content pathways. It made you feel hugely rewarded for bothering to put it on your list or for trying to roll into that one wall. In the DLC seemingly 70% of the areas are "hidden" behind unclear paths and it detracts from the exploration a lot. Plenty of times have I seen my bud next to me in a completely different area, asked him how he got there and he was just like "it's somewhere here". You go down so many sidepaths that wind into bigger areas, that you naturally lose out on sidepaths from earlier, that ALSO lead into bigger areas. And now you're frustratedly walking past every damn door in order to find the one that isn't just hiding 3 smithing stone 2 and rather the required area to move forward. I guess they wanted people to miss stuff and then return back to the DLC and find more, but they overdid it, imo. If everything's hidden, the magic of finding it gets lost in the annoyance of HAVING to find it.
You are among the Souls-like players I enjoy watching the most. You're thorough in your approach, both in exploration and combat. You're curious about everything and you try to piece the story together. You know all FS's tricks and traps and YOU READ THE FREAKING DESCRIPTIONS! A real pleasure to watch after playing myself.
I got my first playthrough finished and it was hell of a ride. Awesome DLC and now I can happily watch my fav streamer give it a go. What a time to be alive!
Finally finished my first playthrough now it's time to binge the first playthrough of my favourite streamer. Have to say this is above and beyond the best DLC Fromsoft has ever made, my mind was blown away at its sheer size multiple times and it has some of the best bosses ever made as well. It's crazy to think how much content is in Elden Ring now, there's over 200 bosses all included.
It really is- I'm playing through myself too now, but there's just something soulhealing about watching this playthrough and enjoying the community too.
I misread Bloofiend on my playthrough and thought it said Bloodfriend. I was thus instantly and forever enamored with those portly, clumsy, and altogether chill mobs
I finally had time to play today which means I can watch, and boy, I felt exactly the same way as Lobos in those first moments- so many cool things in so many directions, which way should I go!? Secrets and exploration everywhere!
lobos is such a simple guy, he just saw a neat greatsword and without even trying it out first, upgraded to max level and was like "yeah this is my jam"
6:49:46 So there have been several shields in this game that looked fine, but I haven't loved any of them like I did some of them in Dark Souls. This shield right here, is absolutely beautiful. 10/10 no notes, thank you Fromsoft.
The visuals and the storytelling are just awe-inspiring. If anything I feel they indulge a bit too much in the sheer size of the levels and those vast spaces seem a bit on the empty side… but that may as well be an intentional effect they want to achieve. The verticality though, it's off the charts! 😲
I haven't finished yet, but from the bits I have, I do think the emptiness is intentional as you suggested. It evokes this feel of loss, of sorrow. Combined with the music, it feels like an irreplaceable loss has been suffered before we even arrived, and the world is even more doomed than the Lands Between, living out its final moments before fading. It reminds me of a much more fleshed out, shadowy version of the frozen Painted World of Ariandel from DS3.
I much prefer this over the base game where I felt a bit overwhelmed by the amount of things happening at times. I think they listened to the copy/paste dungeon complaints many people made and reigned themselves in a bit. The vertical level design is so good! I adore peeking over a cliff to see what's coming and thinking about how I might be able to get there. Feels like true exploration compared to following paths on a flat plain
I bought the DLC, but probably won't be able to play it for a few more months... so I'm experiencing this for the first time vicariously through this wolfman.
I've bought it too, and won't be able to enjoy it fully for a while. Might be able to load it up now and then, but my available time to play it is somewhat limited at present. I was going to try to avoid spoilers until I could play it, but I can't ignore new FromSoft content being played by Lobos.
@@EverThoughtful yeah i feel you, when i loaded up my save i had already started journey 2 but didn't even finish the tutorial. LOL GG gotta speed to dlc rip
@@spacep00ner I have a few characters at various points along Journey 2, but I would prefer to try the DLC on new game. Fortunately, I do have one character who met the requirements to access the DLC, but hadn’t yet progressed to NG+.
4:26:18- fun thing that happened to me with this dragon was that I unintentionally ended up circling around behind it at night in heavy fog, so i mistook it for a big log- right up until I ran over it and it moved. I'd somehow managed to charge at it from the one angle where its wings were perfectly folded to look like roots, and it nearly ended up with me losing like 3 levels worth of runes (since i wasn't paying attention until then)
Idk why but the "I think we're live. We're live on UA-cam!" and the guard counters "They're bringing em back baby! They're bringing em back." is quite possibly my most memorized parts of this vid. 😂😂😂 All the spectacular gameplay aside 😂

3:05:43 I never got that talisman! I think it was because the invader killed me but he also died right after from the poison I gave him. I guess that talisman is lost now. 🤨 Same with Rellana. Never got her remembrance because I died and she died too right after from poison or maybe the NPC summon killed her. I could duplicate her remembrance though despite not having it in my inventory. Weird! 🤔 Edit: Now it happened again with another remembrance boss but without me dying in the end. Maybe it's a bug or maybe it's because I use a couple of mods. Hmm... Update: It was mod engine's fault! I launched the game normally and loaded my save and I received a whole bunch of new items at once that I had missed apparently! Boss rewards it seems but I did not get the talisman from that NPC invader.
Ah, Lobos - thank you for being thorough and showing me the things I missed! :D I am so glad I didn’t fight the Divine Beast Dancing Lion alone 😅 It’s even more terrifying :O
I've been picking away at this pretty slowly (and plan on watching the whole playthrough over time), and I'm on the part where you're drinking Maker's while fighting Rellana, and it keeps making me want to pour myself some bourbon. Not the worst problem to have, really.
Also, regarding Rellana, I was having trouble seeing the chains, so I summoned my mimic. Turns out her weakness is bleed, because my mimic is on an arcane build on it downed her so fast I accidentally one shot her. My boy did too well.
I had just started ng+ and killed the white mask when I quit. I had to take the long way to mohg so I was running past everything. Got into the dlc finally after like 5 hours. I was still just running though grabbing items and not looking at them. Watching this made me slow down and enjoy what I was doing. Much better way to play.
I’ll be getting the DLC beginning of the month so checking it out… I’ll probably watch ur full play thru a few times and hopefully see some secrets or spots that I’ll wanna check out in more detail 💯👍🏻 it looks pretty great so far 😎
7:07:35 I also needed more! I had a npc summon and a spirit on my first try and I decided to die and re-do it fully solo so I could experience the fight + music better
I couldn't catch this live, but I'm so excited to see this DLC. I'm so far behind, but hopefully it has been enjoyable (guess I'll find out once I hit part 3 for sure lol).
I gotta be "that guy" and say that FROM need to do something with camera movement against big jumping enemies or when it's close to walls - made this fight a little bit annoying to me.
The camera in dancing lion isn't great, but it isn't necessarily a "camera boss." Most people who complain about the camera in that fight seem to just try to stay glued to him the whole time, which is where the camera issues come from. I feel like he was meant to be fought at mid-range, dodging in to attack and backing out at the right time. If you fight him that way the camera isn't nearly as big of a problem.
I'm gonna enjoy this a lot, thanks Lobos. Btw, I have a question. Does staggering an enemy or breaking their animations with attacks have to do with a stat, or with using big weapons? Thanks :)
DLC came out, made a new character, got through the game. Figured out a nice faith build. Two weeks later was the patch. Boom. DLC purchased. Oathbreaker set acquired. Let’s bonk some baddies and watch Lobos while we’re at it!
He heals when you heal if you’ve been caught by the chompy grab. The next heal will heal him. This is the only consistent thing I’ve seen happen that makes sense. Could be something else but it seems to always happen in that order.
I'm just catching up now that I've been playing; and that Blackgaol Knight gave me fits fighting him with just a greatsword (Death's Poker). I also haven't played in a long time so I have struggled a bit with everything. 😅
Anyone on PC, are you experiencing frame drops on heavy particle attacks? If so how did you fix them? Spoilers below Stuck at Divine Beast because 90% of its attacks cause me to go down to 5 fps and throw me off.
Some of the early reviewers have mentioned performance issues, I guess your only options are waiting for a patch or turning down settings (or buy a new PC xd). I definitely have frame drops every now and then, when my PC is normally asleep during the game.
nice! never noticed how the health regen worked on the boss when i first beat it. but after watching this video i saw it how it was done, this why i like to watch other play the game for you see stuff that normally flies by an. its when he bites you and trying eat you that gives you like de-buff, so when you heal it also heal the boss.
For a limited time after a grab, healing will also heal him. The debuff wears off tho (indicated by a red aura around the player). You can see it if you watch it back.
6:44:12 this description got me excited too, I'm so sad nothing came of it. All this weird moon stuff going on, and we basically got nothing that had anything to do with Ranni. Rellana was just a Carian, and we take her down at the start of the DLC.
I’m watching this up to how far I’ve gotten and ready to pause it if I see something I haven’t found like I’m watching the gas meter and only have $21.57 to my name
I try to mimic how you learn bosses, not trying to win every try, taking time to just dodge and learn the patterns. Using a great shield to block and see how the boss moves without getting OS... and it worked against a boss lots of players hate. Thanks

Who else was disappointed when he didn’t drop down to get the big jar head in Belurat Gaol?
I’ll be getting the DLC beginning of the month so checking it out… I’ll probably watch ur full play thru a few times and hopefully see some secrets or spots that I’ll wanna check out in more detail 💯👍🏻 it looks pretty great so far 😎
Also at about 7hrs in got a question for ya lol is that glass half full or half empty lmfao 🤣
03:08:30 - It sounded like George Carlin at the end of his 1990s skit, “Like a big electron, wooow, wooow.”
7:07:35 I also needed more! I had a npc summon and a spirit on my first try and I decided to die and re-do it fully solo so I could experience the fight + music better
My PS4 decided to get busted just when something worth playing came out, oh well watching Lobos is just as fun as playing it the first time.
Same with my PS5, the HDMI port is busted and it costs a fortune to get repaired :$
My PS5 disk reader got busted but at least I bought the game again digital + dlc
@@robo3007 I feel that in my soul, everything costs a fortune these days
First time watching your stream, very good content!
"I hope I don't win, I need more of this". Exactly why I play souls games lol. Activates the neurons.
The highlight of day 1 for sure was him finding "that" shield. I refuse to believe it was coincidence they put it in the game.
@:37:34 "That was a drop off the Omen looking dudes," _describing one of the only non-omen enemies in the entire DLC_
I am both excited and terrified for randomizer from here on out
Lobos makes me happy. Shadow of skibidi makes me happy.
at 7:34:00 she does the double phalanx with a dash, how in the world are you supposed to dodge that without getting hit by at least one of them?
27:43 tiny fire snakes is what I call my poop.
Bedankt
I couldn't catch this live, but I'm so excited to see this DLC. I'm so far behind, but hopefully it has been enjoyable (guess I'll find out once I hit part 3 for sure lol).
Bro... dancin lion, what a boss, the music the elemental changes the hetic AF fight 10/10 this gonna be one hell of a DLC i can alr see it
the music alone made me want to never beat the guy
I gotta be "that guy" and say that FROM need to do something with camera movement against big jumping enemies or when it's close to walls - made this fight a little bit annoying to me.
The camera in dancing lion isn't great, but it isn't necessarily a "camera boss." Most people who complain about the camera in that fight seem to just try to stay glued to him the whole time, which is where the camera issues come from. I feel like he was meant to be fought at mid-range, dodging in to attack and backing out at the right time. If you fight him that way the camera isn't nearly as big of a problem.
Bro as a magic andy Rellana was so cool and the strings were going crazy
2:35:55 lol that was exactly my thoughts to this talisman. A bit like the meme with that evil looking dude from despicable me.
8:56:25 Hmm...trapping yourself in an enemy camp's tent with two berserker warriors wielding large war axes seems to be bad for your health! Who knew!
I'm gonna enjoy this a lot, thanks Lobos. Btw, I have a question. Does staggering an enemy or breaking their animations with attacks have to do with a stat, or with using big weapons? Thanks :)
Bro is a gamer. What a legend you are sir!
Man, Rellana is so good. Might be my new favorite Elden Ring boss. (Though i haven’t played far past her, so that could change.)
Post-Whisky Gameplay starts at 7:03:10
I'm upset lobos never got to see demi human swordsman onzes magic slash combo but the boss spammed it on me.
Lobosjr: I'll just get 36 of each smithing stone
Me: let me buy 600+ of each one
50:57 Ha! Record spin AI tracking! I haven't seen bosses use that trick since Dark Souls 2! 🤣
im going to follow your playthrough as my guide / walkthrough.
Anyone on PC, are you experiencing frame drops on heavy particle attacks? If so how did you fix them?
Spoilers below
Stuck at Divine Beast because 90% of its attacks cause me to go down to 5 fps and throw me off.
Some of the early reviewers have mentioned performance issues, I guess your only options are waiting for a patch or turning down settings (or buy a new PC xd). I definitely have frame drops every now and then, when my PC is normally asleep during the game.
This game has literally always had performance issues and still isn't resolved on the dlc 2 years later on ps5 lmao
i just set effects quality to low, my computer is years old so i also get some lag still.
@@bartlettracing101I’ve never had any issues on PS5 other than drops to like 50 fps occasionally
3:48:47 I too cut my spaghetti! I mean why wouldn't you? 😃
only got to play a little last night (console pleb) so i'll watch till you catch up with where i left off then come back for more xD
nice! never noticed how the health regen worked on the boss when i first beat it. but after watching this video i saw it how it was done, this why i like to watch other play the game for you see stuff that normally flies by an. its when he bites you and trying eat you that gives you like de-buff, so when you heal it also heal the boss.
yeah, really interesting mechanic i couldn't pin down during the fight!
Nice parrying against the mausoleum boss👍
lion is less of a camera boss if you roll away instead of toward
so... did we work out how the dancing lion was lifestealing from you at certain points when you used your flask?
when it gives you a love nibble
Yeah I think it only heals from your flask after biting you with the grab. Not sure if it's a timed thing or if it just works on the next heal though.
For a limited time after a grab, healing will also heal him. The debuff wears off tho (indicated by a red aura around the player).
You can see it if you watch it back.
You da best Looby
Now I kinda want to see the DLC poorly translated, might actually be the Skibidi tree for all we know 🤣
Do you no longer cut the pee breaks? Or is it not possible to cut them if it's from the livestreams?
'The name of this castle is Belarus...' - Lobos, 2024
That invader was 100% Wolverine.
I always wondered how Miyazaki looks like when he goes Super Saiyan....
I mean... Look at the Feet on that Furnace Golem
I try to mimic how you learn bosses, not trying to win every try, taking time to just dodge and learn the patterns. Using a great shield to block and see how the boss moves without getting OS... and it worked against a boss lots of players hate. Thanks
