Go with a long bladed ceiling fan. Huge difference with a vaulted ceiling in a big room. Go bigger than recommended because most don't take into account the size of room and height of ceiling.
I also like a larger fan...Anything grand and well placed will command the eye upward. I walk on my floors but my eyes are always looking up and out my windows. The outside fills my house ⚘⚘🌞⚘⚘

Next time when you're cutting outlet hole in a finished board, use blue painters tape over the area of the board where your hole will be. Make your marks on the tape. This will help reduce blow out, even with a jig saw. Keep up the great work.

Hi Jeremy, As a lifelong carpenter, I usually put the board in place and with a short scrap in front for protection, tap it against the electrical box with a hammer. It typically will imprint the perimeter on the back of your board, without any measurements. Then you can cut it from the back with your jigsaw, and any tear out will be on the back of your material. Looks great!

I have found it useful when installing tongue and groove to bevel cut the top edge with the short edge to the back. Also really helpful to rip off the back of the groove with table saw. It makes installation a lot easier on the top row.

Suggestion: When you are cutting decor wood like you did for your master bedroom, be sure to cut the finished surface with the saw blade going down into the wood rather than having the teeth come up to the finished surface. It will drastically reduce tear outs on the finished surface.

*Outlet holes* jigsaw- Downcut blade for face cutting the board. Or, upcut blade from the back, no tearout on the finished faces. Chopsaw- board facedown, no tearout of finished face. Use a brad point drill bit for pilot holes, has cleaner cut edges. Looks fantastic guys!!!

Use painters tape on the cut outs . It will stop the splitting of the wood
