Thanks for all the videos. The chopper wiring video has saved me more than you could ever know. Please never delete the channel. And keep going. Love all the vids
Thank you guys! Special shout-out for you in this video if you didn’t see it. You guys are a big inspiration to get moving on the live streaming stuff 🙏🏼
I have enjoyed your video's! Sure would have been nice to see how you converted your softail frame to rigid frame. any possibility in the future would be appreciated. Thanks, keep up the good work!
Thank you! And man do I wish I started the channel before I did that, that’s one of my biggest regrets was not getting that on film, but I’ll be honest in saying it was uncharted territory at that time and I until I finished the bike I didn’t know for sure whether I had done it the “right way” if you will. Now that I know it rides well I’d love to do another one in the future and make that video. It’s definitely on the list
Congrats man, you've killed it so far, and I stand by the first comment I ever left on this channel: you're going to become one of the largest moto build/maintenance channels on the platform! I don't know if my build will ever truly be complete, but you've definitely helped me skip the struggle!
I like the value of your video content. Your planning effort is worth it and I watch the whole video because of that quality. I think make the videos that you want, and it will come through. It may be interesting as build lesson learned series with other builders to highlight your lessons.
I rebuilt my forks watching your lowering video. When the snow melts I won’t have fork oil all over my legs when I get where I’m going. I have a 62 panhead that is Frankensteined with all kinds of parts but is slowly becoming a little more chopperish. Thank you, keep up the good work!
Don’t knock your editing skills, your videos are straight to the point, all pertinent info with no excess fat, which makes it super easy to re-watch when I’m trying to get something down. I mean, I may not be to that part of the build yet, but I know it’s coming, so I’ll watch in anticipation of it and then watch again when I’m doing it. Just spaced my wheels properly this week with your help.
I'd say you've got the formula for success all worked out - give the people what they want and be humble enough to ask. You've nailed it - well done. 👍
Not gonna lie man, i was totally bummed when you left the podcast after all thoes years but you're killing it man. Taking all thoes tips though out the years and now having the visuals to it. Keep it up man! Enjoyed listening through the years and now watching! #lowlife!
Thank you brotha, I was bummed too. It’s hard to walk away from something you spent years building. Plus I was nervous to learn all the video stuff. But I’m happy to be here now and glad I made the leap 🤘🏼 thanks for sticking with me
Congrats on the one year anniversary! Great job putting out short, concise and helpful videos. For example, I have no intentions of ever running and open primary or jockey shift, but still enjoyed those videos and did pick up a few tidbits of info that will help in other areas. Also I'm surprised to find out that I'm not the only 63 year old watching the channel!
Glad to hear that! I’ve learned a lot from your generation about how to work on these bikes so I hope my videos are able to pay it forward in one way or another
Hi, I watch your videos from France, thanks to your clear pronunciation the Google translation is much better than many American videos. Good luck, your videos are clear, precise and very well done.
That’s awesome to hear! Who would have thought. That’s also why I don’t typically use any music in the background as I heard it can mess with that feature. Glad you’re enjoying the videos 🙏🏼
Thank you Lefty, I appreciate you watching and letting me know you’re enjoying the vids 🙏🏼 I’m no expert but I’ll do until one shows up haha. Stay safe
Yup nice job. And don't limit the 1000 to just builds. It makes it sound like you're interested in helping fresh builds. The jockey shift vid got me past a plateau with riding the VL I finished rebuilding last spring.
@@greasesgarage I just got my kicker conversion kit yesterday (I hope works with my exhaust setup). This weekend I'll begin the transformation of my 'chopper'. Not really a chopper. I consider it a bobber. I think like everything else in this community to language is evolving - which is a good thing. It means the community is evolving. Anyway, my point is, you're vids pushed me over the edge between having a cookie cutter build and redoing it on my terms.
Sorry for the long comment but dude you're hitting all the right topics! First and foremost I have to say man I'm glad to hear you mention about people on here blabbing about random stuff before getting to the point!! It's so refreshing finding someone who is aware of that! It's frustrating having to skip ahead until they get to the point. Also since subscribing I have to say you are covering topics that no one else is. For instance, people will show you the end result but never never the specifics of how to do it like the jockey shift vid. So many vids have baited me with titles like install a jockey shift but it's just them riding it. Man if there is one bit of advice I can say it's to don't change. You're on the right path! Just keep em coming. My bros and I love the content. I ride with the combat vets motorcycle association and you're content has come up on more than one occasion. Side note....we are in the 45-54 year old range so yeah that's a legit demographic you pulled lol. Cheers man!
Man I really appreciate you sharing this. You never know if you’re doing the right things because often in the early stages of a channel you don’t get many comments. Hearing this is a huge help and I really appreciate the feedback 🙏🏼🙏🏼 if there’s ever a specific video you need to see please don’t hesitate to reach out. I will keep going with the video style 🤘🏼
Agree with everyone on here, you inspired me and motivated me to get my first chopper project after 20 years of wanting to build one. It’ll be a slow process, due to cost and availability of parts I want. But the bike is in my shop, and the parts are slowly coming in. That’s all due to the spark I found under my ass that says grease’s garage. So thanks for putting that there 😂.
Man I truly appreciate you sharing this with me. Proud of you for taking the hardest step! Deciding it’s time to start is a step most people never take. You’re already ahead of more than half of the people who want to build a chopper 🤘🏼
Yours is one of my favorite channels. I'm riding a stock bike now, but see myself building something in the future. I appreciate hearing the realities of what to consider. I wonder if you might do a video on titling the bike. Frames comes with titles, but do motors? And what if they don't? I know there's a state specific concern, but I still wonder...Keep them coming. I watch then all.
Thank you Brett, I appreciate you always checking out the videos 🙏🏼 I can definitely do a video about titling. This is a great suggestion because it’s been so long since I thought about it but I do remember being new to the game and not knowing how it worked either. Good call!
Interesting I’ve never seen them but I just looked them up. I do have a composite type block between my manifold and my carb but I believe it comes with the carb not an aftermarket one. I do wonder if it would really have any effect though, might be worth a test
I'm glad you don't have a bunch of music playing in the background to drowned out what you're saying some channels they like to play the music loud or there's a air compressor running in the background it distracts me from what they're doing

I really appreciate you sharing this. Thank you 🙏🏼
Hello from Utah! Great job here! I really enjoy your no nonsense take on these topics. Here’s a question, what’s a space saving way to store various handlebars ? I have about 20-30 sets of bars and very limited space. These are always cluttered . How about a couple videos on how to set up a shop space..? I liked your “ build a tool roll” video , maybe something along the lines of how much space do you need to do what kind of work … Anyway , thanks for making the videos and keeping them concise, we all want to get back to the fun parts of riding and working on older bikes .
These are great ideas I would really enjoy making the shop space video and it’s a good video for when it’s 0 degrees in my garage and working on a fab project is too difficult haha. As for the handlebars, I may be the wrong guy to ask because I can’t stand the clutter. I would recommend dwindling down the pile to only what you absolutely have to keep. Less is more!
It's fascinating to hear that there are straddle the bike to kick people. I too stand at the side after having my knee jammed into the frame too many times by kick back or just grazing the frame when kicking.
