Edit**** At 7:18. If you are using your ignition switch/key, then the black wire off the new voltage regulator will tie into the solid black wire off your ignition switch harness. I tapped into the red one because that's what I needed.****

I dropped 175cc qmb 4 stroke in my scooter, I had a 50cc 100cc big bore kit but finally just went for it, dropped right in no problem, 42 millimeter carb racing CDI no limiter, racing coil, new valves and cam, anything that can be done has been done, custom exhaust designed and welded by myself, fastest I've got it was about 80 and I had plenty left I was scared to take it any faster with these small ass tires. Next step is to paint it because it looks like complete s***, I love pulling up to people thinking it's a 50cc and flying by their ass, anybody that knows scooters will know it's not a 50cc just by hearing it.

I'm about to do the same thing to mine I don't have a key switch on my scooter at all my question is where did you hook up the black wire from the regulator
Hey there and good morning! Liking the video, doing research on how to swap a factory 50cc scooter engine to a 150. The frame I’m using is a heavy reverse trike body who’s factory 50 would struggle to push. Previous owner had a 150 put in but couldn’t leave it alone so now it’s a parts donor. Who would you recommend to order a new power plant from that is ready for installation? Thanks and happy scooting dude
I ordered the entire 150cc GY6 engine brand new from ebay and it came with the new carburetor, gasket, rectifier etc. I don't recall the seller name
First of all thank you so much for making this video! I have a question. If I wanted to just buy the longer shock what measurement am I looking for hole to hole? I think the original is 11 1/2 inches long but I'm not sure
I'm not too sure, I believe I built it about an inch long. Maybe look for a shock that has adjustable height?

Why do they do the swap? I did it for fun. The power difference is immense and I enjoyed it much more. Also dont need a license plate and its lighter weight ao better power to weight ratio. That said, it's easier to just buy a 150cc scooter if that's all you want. People who do this do this because they enjoy the project and it's fun to do.

When working with all your wires up front, there is a key that has green and orange (?) Or yellow wires that are just hanging there, not plugged into anything. Its behind all the wires you are working with. I have that too. What do I do with that?

What does the fuse up to the wire to the fuse where does it hook to on the scooter at
Under where your feet rest, next to the battery. Go to your battery and follow the red wire, you will see it tucked into a hole

I believe it's the short case if I recall correctly.

Where did you buy your gy6 150cc motor and how fast does it go
eBay and roughly 55mph on the stock tire. Fast enough to feel sketched out and want to back off
Hey my keys broke in the ignition . I Need To know how to turn on 150cc gator moped with out key what do I have to do to cables
If I had to guess, get to the ignition harness behind the key and connect the same wires I connect in the video.
I have a 150cc that someone gave me it doesn't have a stator on it how so I know which one to get I'm putting this motor in a 50cc scooter
The motor doesn't have a stator? If it's a gy6 150cc then probably any Chinese gy6 150cc stator. That's just my guess.
My 150 came with a 4 wire rectifier do I still need to change it
@@user-ok5em5jy6l I’m not following your question. Mine came with the rectifier as well and I’m pretty sure that is what I had to wire into the old bike. So what are you asking? Are the old and new ones both 4 wire???
How do you hook up a silarnord on a ridding lonmor
I would look up the schematic for a solenoid. Will be easier to see it than explain it.
I put a 150 on but I have to turn it by selinoid cranks but won't start also wires are different r w b g y
I'm not sure as this is the only one I have done. Did you check the forums online? A bunch of information if you don't mind reading on those and the wiring diagrams for the 150 motor it normally goes on.
Every time I do the exact same things my green wire from my stator just starts smoking, the 125cc rectifier is plugged in correctly, but the only difference I have is I got 2 yellow wires coming from my stator and I have a solid yellow and solid white on my wiring harness, is the somebody that can help me
I did a 150cc swap. It sounds like the 125cc system you are using is different. Have you tried Google searching a wiring diagram specific to the 125cc one you have?
@@MileHighDreamz yes I did but I am using the original 50cc wiring harness and can’t find out where the problem is, my only hope is to buy a new stator since my green wire is burned, and a 125cc wiring harness and hope that the problem is solved
I'm guessing you fried it anyways. Figure out the connections before plugging in the new one
sounds like u have a dc stator and with 2 or 3 yellow wires ac stator on old engine could have connection issues do some research on ac and dc cdi

are there parts from 50cc scooter that i can cannibalize for 300cc scooter like mirrors, handles, maybe electric starter...??? any ideas
If you are swapping a 300cc engine into the original frame then I don't see why mirrors won't fit. The rest of the scooter is the same. The starter motor will be different and the wiring needs some modification. It shouldn't be much more work than this swap.
