I'm disabled after being a very active person and fishing regularly but it helps viewing your vids, bringing back memories. Use to go down knabs rock on occasions as it gets very busy, as Gower with estuaries close by. Trips down west but only up to ogmore on occasions, never in your neck of the woods. Fishing for the day without a bite happened but still out. Down knabs rock nothing so told my son to take the weight off and drop the bait down the wall into the waves, five minutes later a bass, only fish that day including the crowd. Nice vid as usual.
Sounds like you have some great memories Jeff, I bet you were chuffed with that bass from down the side of the wall. Surprising how many bass are caught close in, I've had quite a few myself just a few yards out. I'm pleased to hear that you're still enjoying the videos...they don't feature many fish because the marks I fish are not as productive as they once were but I still enjoy fishing them, nice to keep those memories alive. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Fabulous video Gareth, you certainly know how to mix and match your camera work and music. You’re very right about how fishing can make us feel, and you did a great job of putting that across, we never know what’s round the corner 💪🐟🎣
Thank you Kevin, I appreciate that, nice of you to say. I try my best to make a relaxing watch and I tend to focus on the deeper side of angling. The marks I know and love are nowhere near as productive as they once were but I still enjoy fishing them, it's just nice being there. Cheers as always 👍
Hi Gareth mate fair play you produced another cracking video I thoroughly enjoyed watching you catching on the muddy banks off goldcliff.. I look forward to watching your next video mate tight lines
Thank you Nathan, appreciated as always. Yes it was a pleasant day in fairness, it's such a lovely spot isn't it. The congers saved the day as per usual ha, they often rescue me! Hope all is good with you mate, take it easy 👍
Ah was he, that's interesting, I bet your Dad was a good player. Surprising isn't it how sounds and sights can bring those memories back. I'm sure your Dad is in a good place. Thanks Mark 👍
Spot on with what you said Gareth. Im nearly 66years old but i can still fish all the venues i used to with my Dad. I can climb down rocks and walk several miles to a venue. However, it is always in my mind that it may come to an abrupt end at anytime and it saddens me because sea fishing has always played a huge part of my life since i was 5 years old. I cant fish as often as i would like due to family commitments so thats why i enjoy watching your channel as you are of similar mind as me. I have blanked on 2 my last 3 trips , but the second one was a red letter day. It was still enjoyable because i was out doing the thing i love. Carry on with the good work👍
Thank you Andy. I'm pleased to hear that you're still going strong at 66, I hope I'll still be fishing my favourite marks when I'm that age, that would be good. Well done on your red letter day, it's great when it all comes together after a couple of blanks, a great feeling isn't it. Hopefully more videos to come soon, I'll try and film a session next week. Cheers for watching, appreciated as always 👍
I’m forty years old, ten years ago I lost the ability to get down to my once-favourite fishing spot due to work injury, you keep pushing soldier, catch a fish for me! Tight lines guys! 🎣 🍻 (Edit before posting, as I finished typing you touched on what I just said, thank you 🤝)
@KumaBean Sorry to hear that bud, it couldn't have been easy for you when it happened. I'm always conscious that others are unable to fish what were once their favourite marks because of injuries etc. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Always a pleasure to watch your videos Gareth. You say you like to get the most out of your days, well it seems that you not only you get the most but get the very best!
Thank you Gordon, nice of you to say. Yes it was a lovely day in fairness, a bit windy but it was fine down in the rocks. It's a beautiful spot, always a pleasure being there. Cheers for watching 👍
Hi Gareth I just love your honesty you tell it as it is it's not all about catching fish you have to take it all in & the sea air great video your enthusiasm is the best& so are your videos you fish places I can no longer fish have to fish flat beaches with easy access thanks so much for everything you make my week with your wonderful videos I hate the thought of having to give up fishing thanks Gareth
Thank you Michael, I appreciate the kind words. Yes that's it, I just enjoy the surroundings and the fish really are a bonus. I can appreciate that some of the marks become too difficult the older we become, although it's great that you still go fishing. My knees often ache whilst I'm on those rocks and I know that one day I will need to find the easier flatter marks. What a beautiful morning, the sunshine is on good form at the moment. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
I think what you said there, Gareth, rings true. Fishing is more than just a hobby to many people, it’s therapy in its purest form. I think you get to a point in your life where you reassess the important things and, for me, the sense of wellbeing and the feeling that your “batteries “ are charged after a decent days fishing comes high on the list. As always, enjoy your videos and keep them coming mate.
Yes you're right there Wayne, fishing certainly is a form of therapy, nothing quite like it. As you say, the older we become the more we focus on the things that really matter in life and it's often the simple things. Cheers mate, appreciated as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Paul, I'm pleased to hear that the video brightened up your day. I love this spot, so picturesque and any fish which turn up are a bonus. Cheers as always 👍
Haha thank you Rick, nice of you to say. It's a lovely spot down there, just a nice place to be and any fish which turn up are a bonus. Cheers as always, much appreciated 👍
March april always hard going in the channel ,but hats off to you gareth for getting us some scenery ,between yourself and emerdale farm is all the outdoors I get at the moment ,take care and ty mark cdf
Yes you're right there Mark, two very difficult months aren't they. Lovely spot in fairness, the surroundings are quite special which is why I was able to get some nice footage...just like Emmerdale farm ha! Cheers as always, take care 👍
Would you consider trying LRF fishing for mini species somewhere like brixham? There's videos LRF fishing in brixham and it seems like a fantastic place for it. I'd be happy to contribute to getting the gear you need as a gift Great video, thank you for your effort
Hi bud, I visit Brixham around twice a year and usually take my rods, I've done plenty of fishing down there over the years. I did a bit of LRF fishing when I was down there last, good fun it was, nice to see the micro species. Next time I'm down there I'll see what I can do. Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍
Fishing is absolutely the best therapy. Of everything I do, getting on the beach and wetting a line always let's me reflect on everything. Getting the brain where it needs to be. Always love these videos and getting to join you in spirit is a good second to an actual trip
Yes I completely agree Dane, a great form of therapy isn't it. Spending a few hours next to the water usually does the trick, as you say. Thank you, I appreciate it. Not many fish feature in my videos but I do try my best to make a relaxing watch. Cheers 👍
@riversidewithme got to look after the mental health, fish are just a bonus. Be that when I'm sitting on the shore or watching your videos. I think we all need to take that time to slow down and just appreciate the world around us, watching those rod tips nodding as the rest of the world bustles past us. Is there really a better feeling? You mentioned the tides not being ideal. I've had some of my best days fishing when conventional wisdom says it'll be the wrong day. If you've got a bait in the water then there's always a chance
@danegrant6101 Absolutely, that feeling will take some beating, I don't think anything compares. Yes that's it, sometimes the weather/tides can be perfect and yet we don't get a bite and when nothing is perfect, the fish often come out to play ha! 👍
Thanks Gareth, great to see you off work and out and about! 😁 Well done for braving what was clearly a very strong wind! I’m afraid to say that because of the downpours, I bottled the fishing this week 🙄😂 As always, the video has made my Friday evening- as ever, beautiful scenery and skylines. Cheers again for all the hard work that goes into it and look after yourself 🎣
Thank you Andy, it was great to get away from the laptop for a day, getting some sea air was a great tonic. Ha yes, that wind was super strong, although it was lovely down in the rocks. Hopefully the better weather is not too far away and you can get a few sessions in. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Excellent Gar ,always love your videos they are a real tonic and the fishing is a bonus. For me the most important thing in life is getting to a point where you own your own time ,take care buddy
Cheers Gareth … No better way to spend a day off work. Thanks for sharing your day off with us mate it’s really appreciated. Until next time you take care mate 👍🎣🎣
Thank you Stephen. Yes definitely, a day off work for me usually means fishing ha! A nice day out in fairness, such a lovely spot! Cheers as always, take it easy mate 👍
Love your videos Gareth, so calming and enjoyable! Yes, life is too short, you have to make the most of it when you can . Being Outdoors does so much for mental wellbeing. Good catch with that beautiful conger. Take care, have a lovely weekend. 🤗
Thank you Patricia. It's a very calming part of the world down there, something unique about the place. Yes you're right, life certainly is too short and it's often the simple things in life that provide us with the most pleasure. You too, have a good one 👍
I’m in the disabled group, so to a large extent watching other people’s trips is the next best thing. I know exactly what you meant when you said about not being able to go in the future, taking a day off like you did is always worth it 😂🎣🐟
Ah yes, I can appreciate why you like to watch other people's trips. When I film, I like to get up close to the water etc so that it makes it feel more real, like you're there. Yes I do enjoy taking a day off to go fishing, something very pleasing about that 😂👍
Yet another oustanding vid. Think everybody takes alot of things for granted nowdays but fishing for me is not 1 of those. It is my passion my recharge after a weeks work . And i feel sorry for those who are unable to go dur to 1 reason of another. What u do is outstanding for those who cant THANK YOU
Thank you Gary, I appreciate that, nice of you to say. Yes I'm the same, nothing I love more than doing a bit of fishing after a tough week at work. The simple things in life are always the best and spending a few hours next to the water usually does the trick! Cheers as always 👍
Great video Gareth, what you said is absolutely correct, you take a simple thing like going fishing for granted until you can’t, as unfortunately I know, but watching you and others like you who share their videos on here helps an awful lot, nice one on the conger pal and thanks for sharing this for everyone to see, It’s much appreciated and as I’ve said to you before, viewing your videos has got me through some long nights in hospital and at home 🙏
Thank you Nigel. It's a beautiful spot in fairness, one of my favourites. The usual missed fish but there we are ha! Yes definitely, I guess we don't realise how quickly our simple pleasures can be snatched away from us when the body finds a problem. You've done well to bounce back having had a stroke and no doubt you have many more fishing years ahead of you! Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Thank you Ed, much appreciated. I love this particular spot, it's so picturesque and there's always something to see. A conger saved the day as per usual ha! Cheers for watching 👍
Well done Gareth, time is very precious I think we release that as we get older and maybe a little wiser. Always look forward to seeing your videos 🎣🐟🐟🎣👍.
Thank you Richard. Yes you're right there, we certainly do become wiser with age and with that, we understand that the simple things in life are the best, such as spending time next to the water. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Thank you Philip. Haha yes, the Congers are rescuing me at the moment, you can often rely on them to save the day! Hope all is good with you...cheers 👍
Thanks Gareth what fishing is all about I,ve watched you lose some fish while filming I was gutted for you when that one dropped off the hook I love seeing big conger eels..If you go back and watch this the shots of you at 25 minutes on the top of the wall with that shower/deluge going on behind what an atmospheric shot that is huge sky big sea,s panoramic at its very best. Nice 👍
Thank you Stephen. Ha yes, I lose loads of fish when I'm filming, usually because I'm faffing about with the camera! I love Congers too, they've always been a part of my fishing life. Ah right, I shall go back and take a look at that bit of footage...the sky that day was certainly atmospheric, quite impressive. Cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Paul. Ha yes, all I seem to be catching at the moment are Congers but at least they're keeping me busy! A nice session at a nice place. Cheers 👍
Thank you Einsley. Yes definitely, a day off work usually means a days fishing! It was a nice day out in fairness, I could have happily stayed for longer. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Fantastic video once again Gareth lovely scenery and a fish a bonus. Your exactly right Gareth it’s always nice to make the most of the time we’re able to get out and about to the venues we like because there are plenty of people who are unable too through illness etc and the fact we’re getting older. Keep up the good work I always look forward to watching your videos.
Thank you Steve, appreciated as always. Yes definitely, the older I'm getting, the more I value time. We also learn that it's the simple things in life that provide the most pleasure and you can't beat a few hours next to the water, pure therapy. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Ahh thanks Gareth buddy for sharing, not sure of you would have seen my last upload as it’s not a fishing video but I’m having a pretty rotten time at the moment and this has cheered me up today. Take care buddy
Sorry to hear that Craig, I hope things improve for you soon. I haven't seen your last upload but I will check it out. I'm pleased the video cheered you up, it must have been the missed fish ha! Take care 👍
Catching up on some of your previous videos Gareth. What a fish that 20lb conger was. Never caught one, it would have frightened me to death!😂. So glad I found your channel and can see why it is so popular. The filming and presentation is so good and your humility and honesty shines through. Such good therapy for me at the moment. Well done and best wishes Dave, broadstairs, Kent
Thank you Dave. Ah yes, that 20lb Conger was a beauty, my biggest one in ages. They like that area, it must be the shallow mud flats that attracts them I think. The marks I fish are not as productive as they once were and so I try to capture the experience, the day out etc instead. I guess I focus on the deeper side of angling, probably because I'm a deep thinker. Take care 👍
Another superb video, extremely relaxing, and some stunning b-roll at the beginning, I do love watching your videos, even though I haven’t fished saltwater for quite some time. I don’t think you need to worry too much about not being able to fish anymore, you’ve got many many years in front of you yet, I’m touching 60 and still fighting fit, so you’ve got not excuses 😉 Looking forward to many more of your videos. All the best, Steve
Thank you Steve, I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video. It's a lovely spot, I could spend all day there to be honest. It's great that you're still fighting fit at 60, I hope to follow in your footsteps, although my knees were creaking a bit on those rocks ha! Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Absolutely brilliant scenery shots and great editing Gareth. AHHHH.... saved the blank mate. Nice conger and I think that was a conger you lost Gareth like you said. Wonder where you will be fishing next time ? As always a brilliant video Gareth. Bring em on 😊
Thank you Neil, the light was fairly decent and so I was able to capture some nice footage early on. Yes I agree, I think it was a good Conger too, I could feel that bounce. I'm not too sure where I'll be next, I'll get the tide book out and will have a think. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
hi mate , your right there gareth time is short chap you blink and another week has passed us by . glad you took some time out mate , great video see you soon mate
Hiya Tone, hope you're well mate. I watched your last two videos in the week. Unlucky on the losing that Bass, although at least the dogfish kept you busy, looks like a cracking mark there where you fish. Yes that's it, time seems to go even faster the older we become doesn't it, where does it go. Cheers mate, tight lines for the weekend 👍
You say about why people don't go fishing recently there's been more reasons than the weather I'm a m e sufferer that is chronic fatigue and it has been playing up worse than normal so watching you do your thing is good pheropy for me so a big thank you
Sorry to hear that John, I hope you improve soon, I appreciate that it must be frustrating for you. Hopefully the warmer weather isn't too far away now, that in itself makes things seem a lot better. Thank you for watching, take it easy 👍
Great video Gareth, first time I’ve watched your channel. I am having chemotherapy treatment for leukaemia and your comments resonate with me. Done a lot of pleasure fishing since I’ve been retired but wish I’d made more time when I was working. Life is short so make the most of it. Looks like a good bass mark and we catch good numbers in the summer here on the Kent coast in shallow water. Hoping to get back fishing in between treatment. Best wishes, Dave broadstairs Kent ❤
Thank you for the comment Dave. I wish you all the best with your treatment, I'm sure you will recover well. Yes that's right, life certainly is short and I think the older we become, the more we learn to value time. I'm sure you have many sessions in front of you and also, Summer is just around the corner...happy days! I don't catch many fish in my videos, the odd one or two, but I just enjoy being out there to be honest, the fish are a bonus. Keep going, keep the faith...cheers 👍
Thank you Richard. I was down Sker a few weeks ago, went for a walk whilst staying at Porthcawl, wish I took my rods ha! Cheers as always, much appreciated 👍
Well done Gareth, another great video. Nice relaxing session with a nice eel thrown in to the mix. Got to beat being in work 😂 Only surprise was that the “Cheapy old boat rod” didn’t produce any fish like it usually does. Thanks for sharing fella
You're right there Richie, it certainly did beat being in work, no doubt about it ha! Yes the cheapy old boat rod was sulking I think, probably because I put new guides on it 😂. A nice day out in fairness, I couldn't complain. Cheers as always, take care 👍
another great vid gareth yes fishing is all about exp + time = success and around our coastline spring and neap tides there is always a mark we can fish on to get our hit of fishing and with summer (lol maybe ) on its way those warm fish laden days are coming . The weather now in winter means those winter seasons are now like summer with conger rays and the odd bass n cod make fishing less of a blanker . keep em coming gareth tight lines
Thank you bud, much appreciated. Yes the fishing seasons are much different now aren't they, even compared to say 20 years ago. That's it, we are blessed with an abundance of marks along our coastline, there's probably places that are completely unfished too, undiscovered! Much appreciated, take it easy 👍
Another fantastic offering from the Conger King!!! Ha!! All joking aside buddy, you hit the nail on the head....fishing is a therapy, medicine, escape & to many people, a life saver!!....it's certainly got me through real 'dark times' & out the other side....and it's not always about catching!! Cracking eel & would've loved to see the one that dropped, reckon it was a lot bigger, but that's the beauty of fishing!! (Grey hairs, wrinkles, frown lines & 'new' words learned!)....Ha!! Anyways, back to work buddy...look forward to your next masterpiece my friend....in the meantime, stay safe & well....Jon.
Thank you Jon, the Congers have been rescuing me of late, they often save the day! Yes definitely, it certainly is a potent form of therapy and like yourself, it has got me through some dark times, there's something about spending a few hours next to the water. On this particular day, the wildlife was on good form...the sounds of the Severn estuary are so soothing. Ha yes, that was a good one I lost, I lose a lot of fish when filming, quite funny really. Hope work goes ok for you today, try and finish a bit early! Cheers for watching 👍
Another nice video Gareth I always appreciate them . I think we will all feel better when this weather warms up , we seem to have more enthusiasm when its warm. Seems like a very long and miserable winter this year , or perhaps its just me .
Thank you Mick, appreciated as always. Yes I agree with you, it's been so wet and the winds are still cold, we even had a frost yesterday morning. The enthusiasm levels should start to increase as the warmer spring weather moves in, if it ever does ha! Cheers for watching 👍
Nice one Gareth, your bang on what you said, time waits for no man , I've always been a fit bloke but in the last few years time has crept up on me, l can't do the things i once could, but you got to battle on. Fishing has always been there for me and always will be. Keep those videos coming you do a great job.all the best from south west wales 👍
Thank you bud, much appreciated. Yes that's it, age certainly does catch up with us all eventually but we do our best to carry on and hopefully we can continue to wet those lines for years to come, there's always a way! Cheers for watching 👍
congrats Gareth on another stunning looking conger.....Great to have a day off work and get some fresh air in the lungs and be beside the sea catching so fish.... PS can you start putting some What3Word location's in the Descriptions please
Thank you Kevin. It was nice to ditch the laptop for the day, spending some time next to the water was far more enjoyable! The congers kept me busy and the wildlife was on good form in the background, I couldn't really complain. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Gareth I'm so glad to see that you are safe and well mate. The venue you filmed this at was a favourite of mine.i have spent many hours fishing there. Over the years. A fish was a bonus . but it did not matter as the views made up for the lack of fish. I'm glad to see that you were rewarded for your efforts. With a decent fish. You mentioned about people who can not go fishing anymore unfortunately I am one of them. However it doesn't stop me from watching others like yourself enjoying wetting a line . I always enjoy watching your videos as they always bring back many memories of my time fishing the Bristol channel. Brixton harbour .is a place that myself and a few friends used to visit at least once a year to do a bit of mackerel fishing .??? At least that was our excuse to our wives .when in fact we spent more time in the pub than fishing. Sadly those days are long gone. Anyway Gareth stay safe and well mate.
Hi Wayne, thank you for the comment. Lovely place isn't it and I can understand why it was a favourite mark of yours, stunning part of the country. I remember you saying that you are unable to go fishing now, I appreciate this must be a little frustrating for you. Although I'm pleased you enjoy the videos, that's good to hear. I don't catch many fish when I'm filming but I do try to make a relaxing watch instead. Spending more time in the pub than fishing...ah yes the good old days haha, I bet you have many great memories! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
I went out fishing yesterday - first time since last year due to weather and other commitments. Felt good to be out in the sunshine and already a lot calmer.
I'm pleased to hear that Peter. Fishing certainly is a great form of therapy isn't it, can't beat spending a few hours next to the water. Cheers for watching 👍
Love your videos Gareth, so relaxing to watch. Love sea fishing, sessions are few and far between sadly living in West Yorkshire, but it’s great to fill the fishing gaps with your videos. Tight lines
Thank you Chris, much appreciated. I'm pleased to hear that you find the videos relaxing, that's always my priority when filming. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers for watching 👍
another great watch garath mate as alwayes look forward to them every week mate nice eel as well garath great senary shots as alwayes mate and i look forward to them every friday mate you alwayes put cracking vidios out if you catch or dont mate till the next one mate tight lines ps come on people dont forget to leave a comment and hit that thumbs up button and most inportant subscribe and ring that bell its all free so lets keep suporting his amazing fishing channel and keep helping him out as we all know its not cheep to go fishing thanks
Thank you Andrew, that's nice of you to say and I appreciate your support. It was a lovely day in fairness and as soon as I cwtched down in the rocks out of the wind, it was very pleasant. Lovely spot, such a beautiful part of the world and it's always a pleasure spending time there. Cheers mate, have a good weekend 👍
6:426:436:43 Hello gar how are you butty was afraid that you might be giving it up when we hadn't saw a 6:46 video for a bit ,always enjoy your videos mate is it easy to park where you fish mate and is it a long walk just wondering butty, anyway great video mate glad to see you on again best wishes kelvin Saunders
I'm good thanks Kelvin, hope you are too. Parking is next to the seawall tearooms, plenty of parking on the road. Where I was in this video, it's approximately a 15 minute walk to the left but this spot is for the smaller tides. You can fish right next to where you park on the bigger tides...just walk up the steps and pick a spot, although don't fish this place on the very big tides as the current can be strong. Hope that helps...cheers 👍
Another great video Gareth mate, shame on the one that got away but we have all had those. Nice little eel to beat the blank and shame more fish didn’t show but that fishing as you know. Your last video with the 20 eel had some fishing pages on Facebook talking and your photos of the eel has been shared in some pages by some of your subs well done mate and look g forward to a gower one which reminds me I have to get back down Llangennith for the golden greys once this weather breaks for long enough 🎣🎣🎣
Thank you Marc, appreciated as always. Yes I enjoyed the session in fairness, missed fish as per usual but good fun ha! I don't catch many fish in my videos but I try to focus on the other aspects of angling instead. Ah right that's interesting, I'm not actually on Facebook but thanks for letting me know. Llangennith sounds like a plan, hope you have some luck down there. I'll probably hit Southgate or may be Pwll Du point, let's hope we get a decent run of weather! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Nice to you fishing again Gareth. The last time i fished was at the steps at the old lighthouse pub' and that must have been 3 years ago. Maybe we will see you fish there soon All the best Paul.🎣🎣
Thank you Paul, it was nice to spend a few hours next to the water, couldn't fault it. Ah yes, the lighthouse pub steps, I know the spot very well, many good memories. I could well be down there shortly. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
And it says something about the man you are that you’ve taken the time to answer every single comment 💪🐟🎣
U tube therapy great stuff
Yes it was a decent day in fairness, beautiful down there, stunning spot. I just enjoy being there to be honest.
The violin on intro got me gar, my dad 😞 played semi professional ,but top fisherman ,ty gareth deep thought xx
(Edit before posting, as I finished typing you touched on what I just said, thank you 🤝)
@KumaBean Sorry to hear that bud, it couldn't have been easy for you when it happened. I'm always conscious that others are unable to fish what were once their favourite marks because of injuries etc. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍
Nice eel buddy, another great vid. Always heart warming words😊👍👍
Thank you bud, appreciated as always. I guess I'm quite a deep thinker at heart, hence the deep conversations. Cheers as always, take easy 👍
A bad day fishing is always better than a good day in the office . I’m 75 and still competitive when match fishing on the river Mersey.
Very true that Philip, very true! I hope I'm still going strong when I'm 75, fair play to you, that's great! Cheers 👍
Still looked fun
Yeah it was a nice day out Andrew, the usual missed fish but the surroundings made up for it! Cheers as always 👍
Very true, iv not been out since November and work and life have weighed heavy. Managed to get out last week and it was like a reset
Pleased to hear that you got out Neil... hopefully many more sessions to come! 👍
Nice video Gar mate❤
Cheers Gary, always appreciated mate 👍
Brilliant photography ,fishing isn't just about catching fish, keep them coming.
Thank you Gerald, I appreciate that. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers for watching 👍
I think you are brilliant really loved watching you nice conger
That's nice of you to say Jeffrey, I appreciate it. Hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck. Cheers for watching 👍
never had you down as a keyboard warrior Gareth ;) Love your videos.
Haha that made me chuckle Sam, very good! Thank you, I appreciate it, hopefully more to come soon 👍
Always the best time of my week watching your adventures Gareth. All the best.
Thanks bud, appreciated as always. Lovely spot in fairness, very picturesque and sometimes a few fish turn up ha! Cheers for watching 👍
Superb editing, cinematography and use of music. Thank you Gar for brightening my day. Tight lines my friend 👍
Thank you Paul, I'm pleased to hear that the video brightened up your day. I love this spot, so picturesque and any fish which turn up are a bonus. Cheers as always 👍
Another master class in why we go fishing.
And Gareth, you are not working class, you are World class. Bravo Bud!
I'd be happy to contribute to getting the gear you need as a gift
Great video, thank you for your effort
Hi bud, I visit Brixham around twice a year and usually take my rods, I've done plenty of fishing down there over the years. I did a bit of LRF fishing when I was down there last, good fun it was, nice to see the micro species. Next time I'm down there I'll see what I can do. Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍
Thanks Gareth for the best half hour this week ,keep up the good work.
Thank you Andy, I appreciate that. It was an enjoyable day in fairness, such a lovely spot down there. Cheers as always 👍
Great video Gareth, lovely day, don't dwell on the dark days buddy, just bloody enjoy today.👍
Thank you Simon. Yes you're right there, today is all that matters. Cheers for watching 👍
Thanks Gareth for a lovely half hour of happiness, all the best to you and your family mate 👍
You're welcome Carl. It was a nice day out and I enjoyed my day off work. Thank you....the same to you and yours. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Goldcliff is only 10 minutes drive from Newport yet it feels like a totally different world.
Yes I'd agree with that, just a lovely place to be isn't it. Cheers 👍
Keep smiling Gareth, we UA-cam watchers love your channel.
Thank you Jason, nice of you to say. Hopefully more to come soon...cheers 👍
Just another fantastic video, so well put together and a good fish too. Shame about the lost one. Brilliant
Thank you Chris, nice of you to say, I appreciate it. Ha yes, I lose a lot of fish when filming, quite funny really. Cheers for watching 👍
Gareth another good trio....thank you .
Thank you Norman, appreciated as always. Cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Mark, always appreciated. Owning your own time...now that sounds like a plan and I intend to work on this! Cheers for watching, take care 👍
You're right Gareth, you don't know what's round the corner, so make the most of it while you can.
That's it Richard, we just don't know. Life is unpredictable and so I guess it's a case of doing what we can whilst we can. Cheers 👍
Yes I do enjoy taking a day off to go fishing, something very pleasing about that 😂👍
spot on gareth
Cheers Mick, I appreciate it 👍
Thanks Gareth. Watched it with a cup of tea nice and relaxing
Excellent Wayne, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Hope all is good with you, enjoy the weekend 👍
Gareth it's a beautiful morning bacon roll on the patio watching your latest video cracking 🎉
Bacon roll, patio, sunshine...sounds perfect Leighton! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend! 👍
Brill
Relaxing after work
Thanks 👍
You're welcome Matt, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I love it down there, a relaxing part of the world. Cheers as always 👍
Great video Gareth, what you said is absolutely correct, you take a simple thing like going fishing for granted until you can’t, as unfortunately I know, but watching you and others like you who share their videos on here helps an awful lot, nice one on the conger pal and thanks for sharing this for everyone to see,
It’s much appreciated and as I’ve said to you before, viewing your videos has got me through some long nights in hospital and at home 🙏
Thanks Gareth. Lovely conger and wonderful relaxing therapy. Background music really works well. Great to see you so happy and on top form.
Thank you Ed, much appreciated. I love this particular spot, it's so picturesque and there's always something to see. A conger saved the day as per usual ha! Cheers for watching 👍
Fishing is life mate, amen to that. Great video Gareth
Yes I'd agree with that Chris, most definitely! Thank you, I appreciate it! 👍
Another great video. Thanks for taking us fishing with you again 👍
You're welcome bud, glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
lovely conger eel there Gareth mate and can't wait for the next video to drop take it easy now mate👍😊🎣
Thank you Simon. It was a nice day out in fairness, I just enjoy being there to be honest, lovely place. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
I miss my father to mucker keep fishing mucker thanks Gareth your videos are cool 😎
Ah yes, not easy is it Neil, lots of memories. Thank you, I appreciate it, hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
Not a bad session considering the conditions Gareth. Good to see the cheapy old boat rod back at it 👍 Have a good, relaxing, enjoyable weekend 👍
Thank you Paul, it was an enjoyable day in fairness and those rocks came in handy when the wind picked up. You too, have a good one and enjoy! 👍
Thanks again for the
therapy Gareth.
You're welcome Jeff, glad you enjoyed. A nice day out at a beautiful location. Hope all is well...cheers 👍
Another lovely and entertaining video Gareth, Hope your keeping well and look forward to your next video , The conger god has blessed you 😁😁
Thank you Philip. Haha yes, the Congers are rescuing me at the moment, you can often rely on them to save the day! Hope all is good with you...cheers 👍
Well said Gareth. Hit the nail on the head. Its my therapy definitely
Thanks bud. Yes definitely, spending a few hours next to the water usually does the trick 👍
@@riversidewithme exactly I'm looking forward to getting out next Sunday down Gower myself
@AJSnake86 Good luck 👍
Relaxing video , lovely area with the read bed behind where you fish . As you have said , it's good for one's soul..
😊
Thank you Andy. Yes it's lovely down there, one of my favourite places. The wildlife was on good form when I made this one. Cheers for watching 👍
Lovely video Gareth good to see you out again filming for us nice Conga too well done
Thank you Peter, it was another enjoyable day. Such a lovely spot, just a pleasure being there! Cheers for watching 👍
A cracking eel bud, a good to be out day mate , and catching fish as a bonus, well done Gareth , appreciate your efforts 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you bud. Yes it's a lovely spot down there, the scenery is very special and as you say, the fish are a bonus! Cheers as always, take care 👍
Nice video as always Gareth with a tidy conger and wahay a day off work 😊
Thank you Christopher. Yes I needed that day off, work has been manic of late. A bit of sea air usually does the trick! Cheers as always 👍
Cracking video as always Gareth nice conger as well mate well done 👍🎣
Thank you Jed. I love this particular spot, ok it doesn't hold the fish that it used to but it's just a nice place to be. Cheers as always 👍
Well done Gareth, another really enjoyable video. Nice to see you beat the blank with the good old reliable conger. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Paul. Ha yes, all I seem to be catching at the moment are Congers but at least they're keeping me busy! A nice session at a nice place. Cheers 👍
Top man Gareth
Thank you Michael. It was a nice day out in fairness, enjoyable. Cheers 👍
Hi Gareth cracking video as always and a bonus fish to top it of. you can't beat a day of work to go fishing. Look forward to the next video
Thank you Einsley. Yes definitely, a day off work usually means a days fishing! It was a nice day out in fairness, I could have happily stayed for longer. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Brilliant Gareth thankyou
Thank you Ronnie. I enjoyed the day in fairness, such a lovely spot. Cheers for watching 👍
Love this channel every video is just so relaxing thanks gareth have a good one
Thank you Steve, I appreciate that, nice of you to say. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
Take care 👍
@@riversidewithme thanks buddy
Great video, as always, Gareth. Tight lines and cheers for now.
Thank you Nick. Nice day out in fairness, such a lovely spot, I just enjoy being there. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍
Fantastic Gareth great stuff as ever cheers dude !!
Thank you Hereward, I appreciate that. I love Goldcliff, beautiful part of the world. Cheers for watching 👍
Another great watch thanks gareth
You're welcome Andy, thank you for watching 👍
Take care 👍
Great spending time with you out fishing as always Ga. Here's a we tenner towards fuel. Stay safe special friend.
Thank you very much John, that is extremely generous of you! I shall certainly put it towards some fuel and bait! Cheers 👍
Another superb video, extremely relaxing, and some stunning b-roll at the beginning, I do love watching your videos, even though I haven’t fished saltwater for quite some time.
I don’t think you need to worry too much about not being able to fish anymore, you’ve got many many years in front of you yet, I’m touching 60 and still fighting fit, so you’ve got not excuses 😉
Looking forward to many more of your videos.
Great to see you back once again. Tight lines mate enjoy your weekend.
Thank you bud, I enjoyed my day off work. You too, have a good one 👍
Keep going, keep the faith...cheers 👍
another brilliant video gareth cwtched down out of the wind 👍 that was always normal down sker point
Got to beat being in work 😂
Only surprise was that the “Cheapy old boat rod” didn’t produce any fish like it usually does.
Thanks for sharing fella
You're right there Richie, it certainly did beat being in work, no doubt about it ha! Yes the cheapy old boat rod was sulking I think, probably because I put new guides on it 😂. A nice day out in fairness, I couldn't complain. Cheers as always, take care 👍
welcome back gareth, been worried ,,,not seen you for some time, hope all is good with you,,tight lines my friend roger,,,,
Thank you Roger. I've done a couple of videos of late, maybe they didn't pop up your end. Cheers as always, much appreciated 👍
Nice one Gareth keep it up
Thank you Philip, I appreciate it. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍
Nice one Gareth
Thank you bud, much appreciated! 👍
very enjoyable see you soon Tezza
Thank you Terry, much appreciated. Hopefully more to come soon 👍
another great vid gareth yes fishing is all about exp + time = success and around our coastline spring and neap tides there is always a mark we can fish on to get our hit of fishing and with summer (lol maybe ) on its way those warm fish laden days are coming .
Excellent Gar, as always cant wait for your next one, ,bring on the Bass the season is coming.
Cheers Les, hope the job hunting is going well. Aye that's it, those silver bars can't be too far away now! Thank you for watching, much appreciated 👍
Thanks Gar, I'm still looking had a few interviews fingers crossed something will come up soon.
@lesglover7016 Good luck 👍
Thanks for the video Gareth some of what you talk about seems so familiar. ATB
You're welcome bud. Yes I like talking deep, I guess I'm what you would call a deep thinker. Cheers as always 👍
Great stuff.
Thank you Paul, appreciated as always. Cheers for watching 👍
Nice vid butty and a nice recharge of the brain
Thank you Darren. It was nice to spend some time down there, it's just a nice place to be.
Quality as always mate 👌🏼
Thanks Mike. A random unplanned session but it was a nice day in fairness, missed a couple but all good fun ha! Enjoy the weekend mate 👍
congrats Gareth on another stunning looking conger.....Great to have a day off work and get some fresh air in the lungs and be beside the sea catching so fish....
Hi Gareth cod corner great place like you said I used to get in the rocks out of the wind
Lovely spot isn't it Royston, many good memories. Those rocks certainly do come in handy when that wind is blowing ha! Cheers as always 👍

6:42 6:43 6:43 Hello gar how are you butty was afraid that you might be giving it up when we hadn't saw a 6:46 video for a bit ,always enjoy your videos mate is it easy to park where you fish mate and is it a long walk just wondering butty, anyway great video mate glad to see you on again best wishes kelvin Saunders
Another great video, and another nice Conger, can usually rely on a Conger to beat the blank.
Thank you Ed, appreciated as always. Ha yes, they usually save the day for me in fairness! Cheers for watching 👍
