FORD TRANSIT CUSTOM 2016 | I changed the drive shaft seals - part 2

This is Part 2 of my transit series, detailing how to fix drive shaft seals on a Ford Transit Custom. As you may already be aware, I purchased this vehicle from Co-Part, and unfortunately, it wasn't the great deal I initially thought it was. However, it has been serving as a fantastic workhorse for ‪@PestInterceptors‬ several months now.
In my opinion, the individuals who repaired this transit should have replaced the drive shaft seals, as they began leaking just three days after we received the van. I find this quite disappointing. Additionally, I believe it's rather concerning that, after spending over £4,000, they couldn't bother to add fresh transmission fluid. Instead, they used automatic transmission fluid (this is a 6 speed manual) that appeared very worn and old, with numerous glittery particles floating in it. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the van then developed a Dpf fault due to some unknown wiring interference that occurred at some point. We had to shell out an additional £680 to have the Dpf cleaned and the vaporiser repaired.
Thankfully, the van is now fully operational, and I truly hope that no further issues arise in the next five years, considering the considerable amount we have already invested in it.

I’d say that’s about right yes. It’s unfortunate but it’s how it goes sometimes. It’s earned that money back and more now 👌🏽
