That was my first ride (very careful) in a hy po vehicle. I've owned muscle cars and Super Sport bikes all my life but my most memorable ride was in that dude's 55 Chevy that he built by his self. And was really fast. God Bless him.
That is one of the most badass 55's, the paint is just unreal also I see by the motor and cage it has it's business end to, Ryan always does the best paint and you guys are truly Hot Rod car guys, peace brother keep'em comin.

I can appreciate the work that went into that car ... he probably has 200 hrs in just the clear and blocking it flat ... Danny .. he has to be very near and dear to your heart ... as much as you love cars and how he takes car of you ... you have to love that guy

Beautiful 55 gasser!! In 1970 my Father brought home a true 1957 Chevy "Black Widow"! He traded $200.00 and a Chris Craft boat he restored! This was at the time he drove a 1965 Chevelle SS. I remember going to his Buddies Arco station on the Northside of Youngstown,Ohio. 327 bored .060 over 12:1 "pop up" pistons, Race Brown flat tappet Camshaft, dual Holley 4150 4 barrel carbs, Hooker headers with 3" exhaust out the back, Muncie M-22 "Rock Crusher" 4 speed with a Hurst Vertigate. 12 bolt with 5:13 and the mandatory chrome reverse rims and Remington XT-120 " Cheater slicks" Had to put 102 octane leaded gas in it from the Sunoco station that sold it from a seperate pump then the regular old gas. Used to race his Buddies Hemi Road Runner on the street. Stop light to stop light action.
It has Mickey Thompson slicks!! That's a beautiful beast count I remember my dad had a candy apple red 55 Chevy when I was a kid and that was the holy grail to me good job man.
I saw this car when I was in Las Vegas at your shop. It's really nice and crazy paint work. I started to love gassers do to Hot Wheels. Later in life I hope to own one.

We had a ‘55 when I was a kid. I saw it parked behind a beer joint walking home from school. Told my brother about it and he traded the lady a color tv and $150 for it, had lots of fun fixing it up. Best Chevy body ever in my opinion

Danny that is one fine 55 Gasser, Back in the late 70's I home built a 62 Nova Gasser with my dads help! We put in a 327 & I painted it Root Beer Brown in the back yard. Not the best paint job in the world but it was also my first paint job but it looked better than it did before. I kept it until I found a really nice 67 RS Camaro. Thanks for posting such a fine Chevy!
The oldies were the best. I can remember riding with my dad and as a car was coming up behind us, i could tell you what it was. And same when one coming at us. All the cars today, you can't say. They all look the same!!

A-I Fiberglass, in Elkridge Md., made the first one piece front end for 55 Chevies, about 1962. My friend Dave Anderson owned and operated that shop for many years. He also made the body for the second ZZ Top 33 Ford "Eliminator" coupe. Great guy.

As a kid (I’m 65 now) I was building models of 55 gassers. I remember in High School my friend bought a used manual on the column 55 Chevy 2 door used for 350.00. It was all original but showed some wear. I always liked that year for the trim and flat tail lights. Gassers are legend. I need to come visit your showroom because we share a very similar taste. Love the show. Ryan is one of the best painters in the world IMHO. #CCFan #Countscustomsrocks

That is a piece of artwork...not a drag car. Wow knocked out of the park doesn't do it justice to compliment. You should have made a counts customs front oil cooler that would have topped the cake..but would have been hard to do with that flip front end. Damn damn damn damn..that is awesome..you better keep Ryan around and pay him handsomely. His skills are off the charts.

Count, you and me both. I had a 55 that was street legal; yet, ran it at the Puyallup, Wa. 1/4 mi. drags for three years. Then got drafted and went to Nam. That was back w/ Big Daddy Roth, Don Garletts, Mad Magazine and Dobbi Gillus w/ Maynard G. Krebbs, F-Troop, Combat and the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Yeah man, those were the days!!! Huh!
That's one georgeous car ...I could never drive it though...I'd be to busy staring at that georgeous paint job...no back seat is a big bummer for the younger me... (Think about it)
