I have to say that is one of the nicest cars that I’ve seen them redo. That car looks strait out of your classic hot wheels collection fresh out of the box ! Good job boys done right.
Where are the eyebrows?
My son & I met him, Kevin & the whole band in Boston at a car show. They were all wicked nice especially Danny he called my son up to take pictures of the group & my son & I it was awesome.
This is incredible! The attention to detail is amazing and it looks absolutely MASSIVE
That was beautiful. My oldest brother who is twelve years older than me owned a 55 Nomad. That was back in 1970. It was a beater, but I always liked how it looked. Loved that car..
Even when I was a kid 50 years ago 55 Nomads were rare. You saw 4-5 to 1 regular 4 door station wagons over Nomads because the Nomad was a high end option that not too many could or would afford back then.
VetteKid Correct. In 1955, the Nomad was more expensive than a Corvette. It was the most expensive Chevrolet.
@@inomad you are correct didn't one of the Apollo astronauts famously trade his Corvette (that was given to them each by Chevy) for a Nomad
Exactly. Thought the same. They were rare amongst the classic stuff when I was a kid, must be really rare now.
I owned an incredibly RARE 1957 Nomad in 1969. It must have been special ordered for an executive because it had unheard of options that were never (or almost never in the case of the a/c) in 57 Chevys:
1. Factory Air Conditioning
2. Power Windows
3. Padded Dash
4. Power Steering
5. Power Brakes
It was in the two-toned colors of Ivory on top and Burnt Sienna on the body. A beautiful combination.
At first I was a bit reluctant to warm up to Danny, but now I'm pretty sure he's for real. Counting cars is a show I watch whenever I can.
@brucecarney4416, the show isn't on the air anymore. Last episode was July 08, 2020.
1:56 laughs like "the count"
Nothing like the old school cars. That 55 is simply awesome.
That is a gorgeous machine!
Love Danny's work and he is a solid person.. Never meet him but he is the gold standard in a person... I live in south Africa and hope he comes to visit our beautiful country
The thing I love about Counts Customs the most is every thing they build retains a period correct drivetrain they actually restore and make upgrade with out destroying a vehicles value they truly do make dreams come true and none of them have changed much Since the first episode on the history channel and have since gained them world wide recognition I have watched every episode starting with the Triumph sprite limon Rick Harrison brought to Danny to repair But it was beyond help & would have cost more to Restore then She was actually worth but that wasn't the first Counting Cars Series but it was the first time Danny appeared on the History channel So I Concider it the first episode
THAT is one sweet Nomad, brother man!
Hey Count, from Colorado. I need to make my way to Vegas to show some love and support for a great individual and amazing human being. Love you Count! Keep up that amazing work doing what you love most. Lucky chap!
Two door coupe was always my weakness!! And this one not only had two door but with a rear stretched up window design in a straight line uninterrupted!! Loved it!! But I loved this more in pale purple...but I do loved those louvers on bonnet...also this car has special place in my heart since I saw Hotwheels Acceleracers!!, ..loved in that Avatar, big wheel at back and the bursting out engine counterparts over the hood!!
What a beautiful 55
i was on a pawn stars binge and i thought this was pawn stars cause that dude is an expert that they bring in for cars...
I'm not into the style of this dude but I absolutely love his builds, one of those strange things for me
55 Nomad, best wagon design ever. Hands down!
(Sorry for the late post) the magnum wagons are nice as well
Magnum? CTS-V? Saab 93 Turbo Z
X? And let's not talk about the Audi avant series cars...
I miss Rolli 🤘🏼
Jeep Wagoneer?
@@JoeGarofaloII ROFLMAO
Now that is cool classic.. it ain't loud but screams beauty gently..
Engine compartment looks amazing! 🔥
Why carmakers do not make models like that anymore? Its such an amazing piece of art.
safety standards
@@CharizardMaster69 yeah right, because plastic cars are SO SAFE, ha ha ha good joke.
Mainly because of designing a car from nothing is way more expensive than take things from here and there.
My grandpa use to tell me how much he wanted a 55 nomad before he passed away!
Bless his soul.
I've never loved a Nomad so much in my life. 😍
My Jaw dropped a foot when it came out of the garage. OMFG!!! Sweet Jesus almighty!!!
Some of the most GORGEOUS Automobiles ever CREATED
I meant my comment for the LINCOLN LAND YACHT .
Gorgeous car. Definitely one of the coolest wagons I have ever seen.
Just about any car of the Chevy Tri 5's is spectacular, but this one is a genuine work of art. I'm more of a Plymouth man for my old-school tastes, but this would be a real gem to have in any collection.
Love you Danny wish I could come see your shop
If you ever get the chance to, you will not be disappointed! It’s a really cool place with a lot of beautiful cars on display! When I went I met Roli, very cool guy.
I drove a 9 passenger wagon from 1978 to 1989. Wish we kept it . The kids still talk about the 3 seats in the back, the youngest is 43.
Back when station wagons were cool. What a beauty.
@O.G Autistler xD
Lol, a 55 Nomad?? Wow. Love the louvers on that thing. Really cool, nice job Ryan 👍
The Count is always such a class act! Love those 55 Nomads!
I'd be afraid to drive it in fear of someone crashing into it Great job
As a teenager I wanted one so bad. As always been my favorite car.
I would struggle giving up any of his builds , totally awesome
Danny you and the boys are the BOMB!
I've always thought to make the *ultimate Nomad/Safari Wagon* is to have tastefully selected woods [body & trim] for a "Nomad/Safari Woody" with the chrome bars on top of the [probably darker] wood.
I remember in '75 those cars were very popular then too, of course. They were difficult because they were so old, with all the rust. It's amazing how many of them survived today, some 45 years later, makes them three times as old as they were then. I live on Long Island New York - if you left that car outside, didn't touch it, it would still turn to a pile of rust. Of course in Las Vegas it's way different.
--
I don't know why anybody would choose to restore a rusty car from the east or wet climate, spend 6 months or two years removing the rust, when they could drive out to Nevada, pick up a rust-free car.
Stunning
That is ..a nice..car indeed
out of all the pawn stars, American picker, etc.... type shows this is my favorite, I like danny and they have some beautiful cars
The 55 nomad is my favourite car of all times. This one is beautiful
As always, Stunning!
Man to be in a position to find, restore, maybe even own a few of these masterpieces of ingenuity.
55,s and the rare Nomads!!! Old school at it's BEST!!!
As an 80 yr old woman I get such a kick out of Danny and his crew. As a teenager in the 50s, we were all gaga over cars and everyone dragged central av on Saturday night adoring the cars he shows now...and later I got my 74 El Camino (454. Engine with 2/4carbs) to go to rodeos etc...then my Shelby Cobra (white with red) in my 30s...then recently showed his El Camino and Cobra...talk about old home week and memories...i luv this kid and his show...take me back home...
What a beauty...
Very sleek, beautiful
I've always been crazy for the 1955 - 1957 Chevrolet Bel Airs and the 1955 - 1957 Ford Thunderbirds. I ALWAYS WILL BE!! Both Chevrolet and Ford made incredibly beautiful cars for those 3 years!!
Chevy nomads are the coolest cars ever if done right!
Do what? crappy old wagon, made for "farmers" not my cup-a-tea
@Marc Owens Ok i admit there was room "gettin-some"in the back seat on Friday night,...in the cow barn (HA HA HA)
As a kid I walked by one of these nomads everyday. I thought it way cool cause of the chrome strips on the tailgate.
My uncle had taught me all the years, makes & model of the cars on the road in the 60s
I liked the car the color it was but they did a beautiful job.
While he didnt ask for pin stripe i think it makes a huge difference
Pin stripe sucks ... it always same design....
Probably my favorite car
A friend of mine had one in the only color you couldn't order in 1955..Rootbeer Brown with the Ice Cream Float colored Roof in Poway, Ca.
Ryan's a class act
thats one sweet nomad..im wondering if tim allen still rocks that beauty he had in the 90s. even for crappy sound outta the black and white that rumble was historic\
Many people despise Tim Allen for crushing Jill’s red 55 Nomad on Tool Time with a crane dropping a wrecking ball into it. I prayed it was fake photo editing somehow but nope they really totaled it. I’ll never forgive that jerk. A real car guy never would have done that.
The pinstripes is definitely off...
What a beautiful car.
I really love this car.
“Danny struggles to give away car” - dude , Danny struggles to give away any car lol
This show needs a comeback pawn stars can fly off for all I care
The customer clearly stated that he did NOT want any pinstriping or any added embellishments. Danny/Ryan did some anyway.
That color, that color just glows
The only thing missing is the chrome trim from the headlights to past the doors.
The car is absolutely beautiful
beautiful
Need to see you some more root beer orange with that big metal flake
He also had a 55 cameo and a 63 split window and a daughter that sold it in front of Woolworths for a cheap Las Vegas vacation, 25¢
Count would be a foster dog parent fail every time
I dont understand how you do it mr count I'm speechless and it's not even my car 😂
There had to be some that were turned into quarter milers? Big ol' slicks on the back end?
Wow just wow
Wow that looks great. Sorry you didn’t get to buy it Danny but at least you have a shot.
Love your employees talent, love your visions , just hate that you lower every vehicle, just hate slammed cars, but I appreciate the talent and vision to do it
'55 is my favorite of the Tri-Fives. I love the simple grill. The grills on the '56 & '57 are a little too "Overdone".
Perfect colour and good job from you guys
Wow Nice Van at 3:58
this or Gallardo? I will differently go with this 55 Nomad.
Now I want a 55 nomad
Ahhh, the NOMAD.
I truly support Counting Cars for what they do, even though I'm not a big fan of their style, but this car came out beautiful. Nice work guys.
One thing I like is that they don't do a lot of chopping otherwise good stock cars.
@@johnkempf1808 Actually, they have done quite a few chopping and channeling cars/trucks. Mostly street rods, though.
My dad is restoring a 55 nomad, it's torqouise, and white, power windows, still work.
Man , I LOVE YOUR WORK !!!!!!!🤯🤡🤗
The wagon was beautiful but as always the count & crew took it over the top the guy better take care of it or the wolfman gonna get ya👍😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Unbelievable
My first car in high school was a 55 nomad and as Danny says if cars could talk you’d have to crush it
Carbondale Kansas, there's a guy who has one for sale
Beautiful color, great wheels. [For me,] it's a bit too 'lowered' in front. But, beautiful car. [My personal favorite year for Nomads is 1956, {and 1957 for Pontiac Safaris.}]
I like those nomads I would live in it
That Nomad was already beautiful! 😉
I can't believe that they were able to improve on such a already amazing car. 😎 💯 😎
Lots of love from INDIA.
And please telecast new episodes in INDIA
Omkar Allewar hey *CHILL*
Yep
Spudly1234567 to whom your family?😡
Don't yell
+Dr.Watermelon bantsut!
Nice...
Perfection
My dad had a Nomad I’ve always wanted one but could afford it so I got an srt8 magnum. It’s my Nomag
If they tinted the windows slightly would of gave a ton of attitude
Always loved the Nomad . I remember when Tim the tool man Taylor parked his wife Jills car at a construction site. Remember what happened, so don't park this beautiful Nomad under any Cranes with an I beam hanging off it. Lol
I don't think so Tim. Lol! I can't believe they totalled that car for the show. I noticed Jill's car had large hood ornament.
It was a dummy car that got crushed
The El Chicano look is fading, the ink on the card has faded
I think they took a a nice looking lady and turned her into a super model
Beauty
