My buddy and I went to this game. We were first row of 200 level, near the Hawk's Nest, the end zone Feely missed the kicks towards. During halftime, my buddy and I were watching Feely practice kicking to that side, and he was missing them. The wind was screwing with him. I turned to my buddy, "I hope it doesn't come down to field goals, but if it does, I'm so glad we don't have Feely, and have Josh Brown." That was the loudest event I've ever been to. My ears were hurting for over 24 hours. My throat was sore for two days from yelling. I've been to many metal shows, been up front for many, including Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slipknot, and others. None of them compared to this game. Closest might have been Rammstein this year. Thank you for the memories of this game!

Ah, yes. The game that put the fanbase for my Seahawks on the map. One of my all-time favorites-and from my first year following the Seahawks, too! Thanks for posting this! :)
I remember watching this game at the age of 12; it was my first year as a Giants fan and I was devastated. First time watching the highlights since '05. Loss changed that whole playoffs. If Feely makes one of those three kicks, Giants are the #1 seed that year instead of Seattle.
I remember watching this game with my extended family at the event room at the Quil Ceda Casino. It was packed. I thought the Seahawks were going to lose at the end every time the Giants went to kick a field goal. The 2nd and 3rd misses I couldn't watch and actually left the room and then a roar inside would happen and I would go back in and think, "No F'ing Way".
I don’t think so because Seattle wouldn’t have rested their starters the final week. The giants schedule was harder the rest of the way, especially the tango against Dallas who they already lost to earlier that season. Definitely the second best NFC team that year despite being eliminated in the first round. Seattles offense was too good
Fun fact: Feely was in the booth for the brutal FG fail in EMU/Toledo 2017. Both he and Ben Holden announced the kick as good when the EMU kicker was way wide right. More fun fact: This two nights after he was on the sidelines for Nick Folk's shankfest in Patriots/Bucs
Haha, I remember they turned Feely’s foils into an SNL sketch the following week. I think it was something about him being the pilot of a flight who had to land between uprights 😂.
The 2005 and 2008 Giants were the most talented Giants Teams of the 21st Century, and of course, the Coughlin/Eli Manning Era. How the 2008 squad didn't at least make it back to the Superbowl still baffles me.
Man I remember being 8 years old watching this seahawks team, and crying for hours when we lost to Pittsburgh later in super bowl 40. i’m not even gonna get into that game y’all already know.
Shaun, Matt, and Walter deserved that ring. At least the franchise was finally able to win the Lombardi but we have two of the most painful Super Bowl losses of all time between 40 and 49 and will always be tough to remember
The Seattle crowd doesn't get as loud as this anymore. This was the beginning of the "12th Man" when the league started to realize Seattle was a tough place to play. I was there in person with my brother in laws and I'll never forget it. Nowadays everyone in Seattle says their a fan and when they go to games they don't bring the noise like we used to.
I think we just got used to winning. In the early Pete Carroll days winning was a new and exciting prospect, so the crowd was much more hyped. Now Russell Wilson spoils us.
Beginning? Parcells might have some war stories about playing in the Kingdome in 86 (which I'd have rather had that instead, Hawks won 17-12 with the legends, Summerall and Madden, on the call)
I know the Giants lost the game but Eli Manning is the clutch king. He may have not played good but when they needed to make a play or lead a drive late, he delivered. No to mention Tiki Barber. Most underrated rb of all time.
I like to think Otis Anderson if we're talking about the Giants. If you look at his career, the fact he had 1k yards in his age 32 season when he was at a point, and age where it could've been the end for him is terrific. Tiki I think is only underrated by people in New York because of how he made his exit strategy. Which is a shame its marred his career it appears because he was a heck of a player.
I can't think of a better game to showcase how little the Giants did to help Eli for his entire career. He's famous for his 2 minute drives and essentially had to put 4 of them together in this game AND hit the 2PC to send it to overtime and he just couldn't overcome a historic level of undisciplined horseshit from his teammates.
What a great quarterback Halsselbeck was. Hawks fans don’t forget about him. He should’ve brought us our first Super Bowl, but we were robbed and the whole world knows it.

The Giants did not get a first round bye as a result, and lost in the wild card round due to being very injured vs Carolina. Had Feely made one of these kicks, the Giants would have taken the 1 seed, knocking Seattle down to 2. Who knows what happens then, if the Seahawks even make the Super Bowl, or if the Giants lose since they would've had a first round bye and potentially faced someone else with a healthier team. Though, it is hard to feel bad for them given that the Seahawks couldn't win a Super Bowl with this core, while the Giants had 2007 and 2011.

One of a few Giants losses I’ll watch in entirety. Heartbreaking loss but kinda helps tell the story of the eventual 2007 Super Bowl. A well played game between two great teams
A key note from this game: The Seahawks finished the season at 13-3 with the NFC number one seed and a Super Bowl berth and the Giants finished 11-5 and the 4 seed. Had the Giants won and with having the tiebreaker, they could’ve been the 1 seed. Maybe they could’ve won the Super Bowl two years earlier than expected?

Shaun Alexander was a great running back but he was never the same after all time great Steve Hutchinson left when he became the highest paid guard in history going to the vikings
missing that great clip of Shockey hot dogging it at the camera and then his surprise at Feely's first FG miss. The highlight of the 2005 season for me as an Eagles fan
I was in 6th grade the giants were my life. This loss was painful. Never forgave Jay Feely…
Jeremy Shockey was a BEAST!
You gotta give the assist the 12th man: The Crowd. They made it tough on the OL of the Giants. Days later it was show on NFL Game of the week on the NFL network.
2:46 My has things flipped a 180° for the first bullet point 15 years later 😂
My first year as a giants fan. I was so heated
I love how they showed the young fitzmagic in the beginning
Back when the giants were actually good
There so woke these days they think they get participation trophies still.
lol the giants are definitely on the rise again.
They have no victories outside the NFC East or the Bengals, hardly the return of BBWC
@@mgb4692 can barely score tds as well. Jumping jones isnt the solution.
@@mgb4692 name one glaring weakness we have. we don’t. our line has gotten better as the year goes on, our defense is legit as hell, we have a franchise rb and qb...
I love how the Seahawks customized a game ball and made it for the fans after this game
Really?! That’s awesome!!
@@metaloreo8423 Yep, head coach in press conference dedicated it to the 12th man.
2:12. Man. 🤦🏾♂️ seeing that headline is crazy.
Fitzpatrick's 1st game, Steve McNair before he died & LaDainian Tomlinson when he was in his *PRIME* & the best in the league
Elliot Harrsion really makes this channel legendary.
But keeping it real, it feels like the media as a whole loves to throw shade on the Giants 😝😂
I was going to write a comment, but I got flagged by UA-cam for posting it too soon.
Tom and Eli make the same faces lol
Well I know exactly where I was on this day. At Reliant Stadium watching FitzMagic cut up the Texans in OT. Such. Painful. Memories.
One of a few Giants losses I’ll watch in entirety. Heartbreaking loss but kinda helps tell the story of the eventual 2007 Super Bowl. A well played game between two great teams
This game just had me on the edge like it was live😂😂😂
This is the game Osi Umenyiora dominated Walter Jones..Giants should have won this game.
But the Giants didn't have the 12th man behind them. They had the 12th mad against them.
A key note from this game:
The Seahawks finished the season at 13-3 with the NFC number one seed and a Super Bowl berth and the Giants finished 11-5 and the 4 seed. Had the Giants won and with having the tiebreaker, they could’ve been the 1 seed.
Maybe they could’ve won the Super Bowl two years earlier than expected?
Always love the content that this channel puts out!! Didn’t realize I wasn’t subscribed, so I’m a new subscriber. Keep up the good work!! 👍
Glad to hear it!!!
This felt like a playoff game
Great content
Seahawks content >>>>>
2:10 Ryan Fitzpatrick's first career game. Hadn't even begun growing the beard and was already throwing over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Seahawks stadium is very intimidating when with fans.It feels like you are somewhere overseas far from USA
More 2000s games!
Who remembers Marcus trufant pro bowl cornerback and spended most of his career with seattle
What a close one
