Went saltwater fishing for the first time at the gulf state peir about a month ago and loved it been watching your videos ever since man. Definitely my favorite fishing channel. Always super educational and fun to watch!

It's definitely up there! I've had it since i got it as a gift while in the Army. THey're nice reels, last a lifetime, but 100% not necessary to get out and fish! We all have our hobbies we like haha! Kinda like Chevy vs Mercedes, they'll both get you where you need to go!

I like to cook Macheral filleted covered with Mayo and baked. Those new rods are only good if the guides do not come apart. Once a guide falls apart they end up for $1.00 at a yard sale.

Back in the day, we used to get a big king out of Ft. pierce everytime the bait hit the water. Cross cut a steak with a big slice of Vidalia and lemon in a half inch of milk and butter. It don't get no better. "Course they're pretty good smoked also.

You don't want to eat too much of those kings at a time. Heavy on the mercury, especially in the gulf. Lesser so in the Atlantic. They do make great smoked king fish dip.
