Thank you! All locations can be read in the credits. The fog in the bigger cave with the band performance was real. Artificial fog was forbidden to not interfere with the ecologic system in the cave. But the cave is always naturally fogged which just looked unbelievable.
The video was filmed in Steinkirche, Einhornhöle and "various forests around Osterode am Harz" (cit) in Germany. As others suggested, it's a band definitely worth seeing live, they are so amazing!
One I'd recommend by LOTL / VDPictures is Till Death Us Do Part :). And Black Halo is stunning, but I don't know if there's much to analyze in that one.
Thanks for the reaction video🙏, I really enjoyed it. I remember that in a documentary about the making of the album "Judas" it was mentioned that due to the travel ban during the pandemic, Matteo and Chiara, who live in Switzerland, could not be present at the filming in Germany and could only accompany the video shoot online. In addition to other Lord Of The Lost videos from VD Pictures, I can highly recommend the band live, they are on tour in the USA and Canada this September and are a great experience live. I have already seen them several times and am always impressed by the sound and atmosphere.
Wow, if they did that remotely that's very very impressive! Incredible. I've heard they are great live so I will try to see them live. I am glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for hanging out with me!
I remember when this first came out. The fan base jokingly called it an unauthorized Witcher episode. :) The narrative as I see it, is that the woman was the leader of a coven and her three followers betrayed her. Now she has selected the protagonist as her new follower for reading her. I do like it when you describe the technical aspects of production a !ay person might miss I had a college roommate who was a film major and got roped into helping his projects so I have a nano level scale of understanding but I like to learn more.
Another great reaction! The story of this video continues in the video "For they know not what they do" and actually does a full cricle - the place where Chris picks up the woman is actually the same place as where something dramatic happens in the other. I recommend you watch it on your own time. What makes Lord of the Lost so special is that they tie all of their songs on an album together topically, visually and sound wise, creating a whole theme around which an album revolves. Not acually a concept album with one ongoing story, but a themed album. If you look at any video for example of the following Blood and Glitter album, you will see what I mean. Another really great story telling video from the Judas album that I would recommend a reaction to would be "Viva Vandetta". Fore more from VDPICTURES, you could check out "Beast Of Gévaudan" or "My will be done" by Powerwolf.
I have noted your suggestions - thank you! I'm definitely going to check out some more of their videos. So glad you enjoyed this and thank you for joining me for the premiere! ^_^
