Its not an exaggeration. I would have listened around six to seven keerhanams of the erstwhile composer Gopalakrishna Bharati, sung by different vocalists in this year,,,but the kriti that haunted me is 'enneramum undan sannidiyile nan'/Devaghandari wherein the composer depicted the a profound devotion to Lord Nataraja of Chithambaram of Nandan/Nnandanar !! what a class monumental krit ! That showed the devotion of Nnandanar a farmhand hailing from a marginalised community who was under the grip of anguish and the burning desire to be at the Lords abode , but not dared the temple's enclave without Lord's consent n did go around the place wondering why the lord does not have pity on him (as explained in the other song-“irakkam varamal ponadenna karanam”) n sleep out of fatigue. When he wakes up he sings about his desire to be in the sanctum of the Lord who dances in the golden hall of thenpuliyur (Chidambaram) which is surrounded by fertile coconut groves! Here, I would see the devotee too as a God! Sikkil Gurucharan sang very melodiously with superb tone n diction. best wishes.
Thank you for the detailed explanation. This song of GB denotes the total surrender of body and mind towards the Lord Nataraja and Chidambaram Temple environment. It's not only for Nandanar but for us also.
Piano is not conducive to great carnatic music It is not melody based Incongruous Sikkil Gurucharan so talented has a weakness for this piano Superfluous
No percussion ensemble gives heavenly melodic feel❤

The composer is NOT Subramanya Bharathi. Gopalakrishna Bharathi is the composer.
Thanks for the correction.. I have edited the description.
