Having watched your videos on fishing and tying this fly. I decided to tie some as I thought my local club water would respond to this fly. All I can say is thank you for this pattern as I out fished everyone today! Fished with 15 fish on this pattern. Keep up producing the videos. Drew
You're my hero. Away for weekend, wife went shopping and I got two hours to fish, howling gale. Top hat on point, 18 Nothing on dropper. Got six, best 5lb on the nothing fly. Surprised that so small a hook could stay firm.
Hi alec had no black tyed some on olive pattern on size 16 s great success also had great success on them minnie daddy's that's 2 great patterns you've gave us pal thank you barry
Hi Alec always follow your channel I live in Leeds and the opportunities to fly fish down here are limited, however we are up in Northumberland for a week from today the 7th and hope to get along to Chatton . All the best keep the video’s coming 🎣🎣🎣👍
Hi Alec - another phenomenal video mate - many thanks - you definitely walk the talk! Have tied a few of these up but not used to fishing such fine diameter fluro and find am getting broken at the dropper a few times..... I normally use a 3 turn water knot with 9lb fluro which is rock solid but what knots are you using for your dropper fly so the light fluro holds up.......?? Cheers for any pointers and thanks again for the content - is really really good and appreciated 👍👍
Cracking tutorial pal. Me an the old man are up there on they on Wednesday the 1st June if ye fancy a day out, would be good to catch up mate it's been a while.
Going to give rhese a go for sure. What diameter tippet do you use? Fishing #20's and smaller on rivers i'd be using 7x, but stillwaters with chance of much bigger fish...?
Hi Alec. wow great sport. watching your video to tie the nothing fly and you persuaded me to try tying after 30+ years. then I tied large sea trout flies so #12 and #14 was an interesting challenge 😀. got the impression you are using much smaller flies here. what size please and still the same Kamasan B981 hook?
Alec, always enjoy your videos. Is there any chance you could make sure the audio is on both channels next time? Having the commentary coming just out of the left is a bit difficult on headphones.
Hi Alex 👋 the proofs in the pudding pal, love the video. I read on the comments that you tie them on Carp hooks. If you'd be so kind could you tell me the size and type /make of them please. Many many thanks. Love your vids mate.

Great video Alec, l must tie up some of those flies, they seem deadly under the right conditions, especially this time of year.
