- What an epic trip this was and proving once again that you don't need all the mods in the world to go 4wding. We take Richards stock 100 series landcruiser out for it's toughest 4wding trip yet at Janowen Hill 4wd Park. Janowen Hills is situated a little over 2 hours from Brisbane and is perfect for a day trip or a weekend away.

Just bought one of these 2 weeks ago, a V8 100 series.

I belong if you chuck it in low range, the abs system works much better (stopping the wheel that’s up in the air spinning, resulting to it providing power to the wheel on the ground)
Yeah it was in low range the whole time. We are pretty certain that this model 100 series doesn't have Traction Control. The light on the dash for it doesn't exist and when we did some research we found that not all the 100 series LandCruiser's came out with it.
@@FrenzyAdventures oh okay, I’ve got a 2003 HDJ100, the ABS system + low range makes it go anywhere 👍

looks like tyer pressure is a bit high. lower tyer pressure and it would have been a breeze for that LC
We forgot the tyre gauge and eyeballed it this time, definitely a good call tho mate
haha yeah tell Richard not to forget his tyre pressure gauge we were just eyeballing it 🤣.
Honest question - is Traction Control dead in that truck?
I'm only 5 min into the video but I would have expected it to kick in many times by now.
I have the same - a 2001 LC V8 - Traction Control in mine seems a lot more active than what I have seen so far in this video.
Were you in 4L with CDL engaged?

That is interesting. Definitely in low range with the center diff locked. Which grade is your landcrusier, this one is the GXL I wonder if there is a difference between that and the Sahara version.
