When the DLC is better than some of the other Full 'AAA' games.
Stop dck riding so hard they are asking 2/3 the price of the game for maybe 1/6th the content its no where near worth it

Everyone knows that when Miyazaki was a child and was being hit with a belt, his father would swing the belt with a delay so that he couldn't dodge it. But few people know the continuation of this great story. One day, Miyazaki adapted to this, memorized all possible frames of the belt, and no longer took any damage. However, his father didn't give up and spent two years finding a new way to surprise his beloved son.
Now, his father dealt ten times more damage with the belt, jumped around the room like a madman, and used quick combos of strikes (mixed with the good old delays), making it impossible for Miyazaki's eyes to focus on him. But the father knew that even this was not enough to surprise his son, so now his belt always dealt area-of-effect damage, in case his son tried to roll behind him. And even when Miyazaki thought he was safe and could drink his bottle of Fanta, the belt attack would reach him from across the room. These memories inspired Miyazaki so much that he dedicated an entire DLC to his game "Elden Ring" to this experience.

It's a 10/10 DLC for sure, just pure hard work, love, and quality, something very few AAA games do these days, my highest compliment to the whole team

Elden Ring has slipped into my #1 game of all time. Yes we grew up on Mario and it instilled basic gaming principles... But this... This is a masterpiece of the art.

I really hope they do a follow up to this even though they said they have currently no plans. I mean they some how managed to improve the art design, levels and ramp the boss battles up to the point I've forgotten most of the boss fights from the base game.
I just finished 100% soloing it last night. PERFECT! 10/10. The best Souls DLC to date.

This is the only place I hope they’ll see this in. Bandai Namco and From Software please listen: please make more DLC, like please. This is a generational game. And we still have somethings to uncover. The Gloam Eyed Queen, Godwyn The Golden, or the Badlands or the Land of Reeds etc. Point is…we have more to uncover. All we want is to keep playing. So please. Don’t stop here. This was an incredible DLC and I sincerely hope we see more.

You'll fight a pinky bug/woman boss who deals rot build-up. After defeating her you can get that incantination with her rememberance

To anybody complaining that the DLC is too difficult, you are the problem, you dying to any enemy is depending on you,,
If you have played all other souls games especially Sekiro and Bloodborne and think this DLC is difficult, than just shame on you,
I mean it's kinda fair though. Sekiro was a cakewalk compared to this DLC unless you use a strength build, which puts it in easy mode. The DLC isn't the right kind of difficult like the base game, it's just imbalanced. All builds should have the same chances of beating the game if they're built properly and it's like that in the base game but couldn't be further from the truth in the DLC.
wdym especially sekiro? sekiro probably has the lowest skill ceiling out of any of the games.

This was a 10/10 on top of a 10/10. If the expansion was stand alone, it'd be GOTY and still easily top most modern releases with little effort.
The only boss i was really sweating my ass was Radahn. It took me 5-6 hrs to beat the dude. And i beat Malenia on the first try.
The second phase with the unavoidable chip damage was nutty.

none of the bosses need to be nerfed they mentioned a lvl 713 charater would still have a challenge, im playing on ng+7 and the boss fights are fair both i and the bosses deal alot of damage and as long as you upgrade your characters sacrutree blessings its really do able

Shadow of the Erdtree burned all competition in the Embrace of Messmer's Flames
If Larion Studio from EU can release a physical disk (two disks) of buldars gate 3 to America/global so can you with the dlc on the physical disk! Lets make it happen. People ordered in nov'23 and got it in july'24, they are willing to wait and not much to complain because the people who want the physical will endure for an amazing game.

Shadow of the Erdtree a.k.a. The ultimate test of our shtty builds
~450 try to beat the final boss without bleed, freeze, shields.. only dodge, and skill. The first time for me i've beat a boss solo without invocations or OP weapons and spells. This is why this DLC is so good, a sh*t like me can do it.

I only play a few games that drop DLC. Spider-Man. Ghost of Tsushima. GTA Online. And now Elden Ring.
The Elden Ring DLC is just on a level of its own. I enjoy SM and GOT's DLC's but GTA's ones just drop with minimal thought and effort. Elden Ring literally makes me feel like I'm playing a brand new game and it's incredible. I kinda hope they don't need the DLC bosses.

It's called NG+
They added in % modifiers, which allows them to fix the biggest issue with implementing a boss rush in a lvled game. I don't see why they can't do it... maybe in a future update COPIUM.
Either way at least we got mods.

@@theDarkltd I have never used a guide to complete a quest, maybe to find where to start a quest but not to complete it, listen to what the npcs tell you to do, it's that simple. It's not cos you find the game too hard that it is a bad game, the world isn't centred around you
@@Formulamonster i enjoy elden ring a lot but "just listen to what npcs tell me to" doesn't always work. Do you know how much sellen tells you that you need to go back to FUCKING RADAHN to speak with mage there so you can progress her quest? Yes exavclty she whines because she's nailed to the wall.... And to trigger her quest you need to get comet azure which for me came after killing radahn.......

Yeah to be fair there are a decent number of glitches that made it to launch and imbalanced weapons, so I can see it getting docked for that.

No, if you want to boss rush, use mods. The multiplayer element of the game depends on people doing multiple playthroughs of the game. The game is not simply a boss rush simulator regardless. If that's all you care about, then you don't actually like these games
