- In November 2023, I trekked to Everest Camp in Nepal. I've done lots of mountaineering all over the world, but this is what I learned during this expedition. So these are my top ten tips. It's not based on facts… It’s just my take on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Thank you so much for your comment - I actually shot it last week and it was supposed to go live tomorrow, but one of the SD cards was corrupted and I need to do it again !!! - so I’m filming it again this Monday 🤣🤣
But I’ll make sure I posted for you next Saturday !!!
Thank you so much for your support, and if you’re not already, please subscribe every subscriber drives me forward
Lovely video❤
Great video. Brit living in Florida here and doing EBC solo with guide in Sept. Not many mountains to choose from here. I’m in my mid 60s and the dogs bollox, fairly fit . On top of what you do to train would you add a stair climber
Thanks for your comment Jim - my main component of training was actually on the treadmill walking at 15% with up to 15 kg on my back. I did that for over an hour
If you have the time, please do check my main film on my channel
But also, if you have any more questions don’t hesitate to reach out

I’ve got lots more planned on my channel lots and lots I hope you can subscribe it means a lot
So I've enjoyed all the videos so far, but couldn't make it through this one.. why? because I found myself just counting every time you said "top ten tips".. and trust me, it was a LOT. Added to the identical introduction to every single point "so my number X top ten tip when Trekking to Everest Base Camp" it was just a bit too distracting for me. The video might have been considerably shorter without that repetition, which maybe is problematic for algorithms or some other factor, but thought I'd comment honestly as so far I've found the videos you've posted to be entertaining, well written and obviously beautifully shot.
Perhaps in hindsight you’re right good job it wasn’t my top 20 !!🤣
what do you think the future of everest is? since 2023 was the most deadly year, most permits, etc.
It’s essentially a moneymaking machine - as many things are in the world
Nepal is very poor country, so I can’t see the government banning climbers
Although obviously this doesn’t affect walkers
I have lots more plan to my channel I hope you can subscribe
of course I'm subbed!@@KevinAugelloNewEarthFilms
Well, nothing? The southern part of the Netherlands has a more hill like geography and the Ardennes are just around the corner. But yeah our flat country isn't great for getting your hight meters on a regular basis.
Common sense
Thanks for these tips, if i ever go I will not forget my toiletpaper 😂
Do you pay by local cash or US dollars?
Good question both - all is warmly welcomed !
But in the shops etc, mostly in Nepali rupees. Tips for your porters dollars.
I’m actually making a new film soon - in more a Q&A style covering 30 different aspects
Stay tuned for that one
I'd recon Denmark is more boring and more flat than the Netherlands geologically
Well, perhaps a close second but then you also have the Faroe Islands and Greenland 🇬🇱!!!
Thank you for commenting I’ve got lots more to come hope you can subscribe !
PS spent many days in Denmark 🇩🇰- I made a documentary for National Geographic about the history of Lego !
@@KevinAugelloNewEarthFilms The netherlands then also has aruba, bonaire, curacau, saba, st maarten and st eustatius. I'd also argue that the rivers, and sea make it not as boring as advertised by you.
