That one lady was right. According to Roberts Rules of order, the moderator can not interrupt and tell someone what the can and can not talk about when they have the floor. That moderator either needs to either follow the rules or step down from her position
Not really. She said something into the record under a point of order, which is not what that point is used for, and even then a chair can refuse to recognize or entertain the point. Additionally, the chair can interrupt a speaker if they are not recognized.
Bottom line is, if they were not supposed to discuss this matter in open session then they should not have. What anyonre THINKS that the policy on this SHOULD be is a debate for another time.
Investigation of PUBLIC officials should be PUBLIC
City, State County, all public.
