Yea, you could probably actually replace a lot of those with /give to give yourself the item instead of placing it with a command :P

Im not sure If people will count this as a block, But while minecraft was making emerald ore, It was orriganly Ruby ore, but they made it emerald instead, because it was Hard to tell the diffrence between redstone and ruby, And apparently, They left the fun for texture pack makers, Because the ruby ore can still be found in the game files, and You can replace that texture to the Emerald ore.

How do you get the block with piston faces on all 4 sides
That was what the piston with the missing texture was. It no longer works :(

Kailyn Polk You're probably in a version lower than 1.8. It's a lot more reliable in 1.8.

Use the snapshot in edit profile... Check the box that says allow snapshots, and pick the latest snapshot version... MAKE A NEW PROFILE FOR SNAPSHOTS they may corrupt your world :)

block 36 used to crash the game when updated, which means people used it in scary custom maps at the end or hackers used it to troll servers.
just thought id add that little tip in!
The purple and black block can be accquired when you open the mcmeta file for any leaves, rename the parent in leaves from "leaves" to "cross", and it makes a cross version of that block.

Number 4 is actually a debug block used when a mod is put on a world and then removed whilst leaving blocks in the world. Instead of removing the blocks, minecraft replaces them with these ones.

I went on my sister's survival world, changed to creative mode, and replaced the water in the pool she made with the missing texture block that you can walk through :p she didn't figure it out, so I had to tell her it was a joke because she almost deleted the world she worked so hard on.
The last secret block is a pretty simple one to figure out for me. In that case, since the block piston_extend is in the way of the stone entity, so the code will find a way to get rid of the entity so it clears up space for the piston_extend to be there.
its funny how theres the new six sided logs now..
I did /setblock ~ ~ ~ piston_head 15 on my server. It had a normal sticky piston head texture, but when I would break it, it would crash my server with the message: Internal Server Error. When I log back on to my server, the piston would still be there. The only way to break it was to use
/setblock ~ ~ ~ tnt 1
After doing that, I hit the block and it exploded and destroyed the head without any errors.

The last piston one deletes the block in front of it because you summon it extended, taking up two blocks, deleting, or taking the place of the other block, than going back to normal.

Some cool blocks there! i do commands too. the double stone-slab you summoned looks like a polished stone block but that is not on the minecraft id list like that polished sand block.(?) The stone-slab block that i think could be a polished stone block(?) might be a Polished Andesite block. it looks very similar but there different materials. Cool block anyway I have subbed you. YOUR A GREAT MODERATOR/COMMAND GUY!

On my computer (1.8.7 minecraft) I was tying some of the secret blocks but none of them worked. it said after I put the command in it said something was wrong with it... Can you help me on this?
I bet none of you know this.
1. Download snapshots.
2. Place a block that doesent exsist in the earlier update
3 exit minecraft.
4. Open minecraft launcher
5. Choose your normal profile.
6. Start minecraft and go into the world where you placed the block.

Can I just point something out? The only 'secret' block here is block 36, all the others are just resigned blocks or tile entities.
The log is just a block with 6 log textures, the furnace is just the tile entity of a running furnace

One other question, the smooth sand and the Smooth stone thing are the same command?

you dont need a very long command for the oak log bark thing, you can just do /setblock ~ ~ ~ log 12
NiceMark, did you know that there is a glitch to get the last block(the piston that breaks blocks) in survival with a glitch? It can even destroy bedrock for you!
When I placed the missing texture block, my game crashed! (1.7.9)
Although when I logged back in it was there but all sides had a sticky piston head texture.

EDIT : It crashed when I did ' /setblock ~ ~ ~ sticky_piston 14 ' but it didn't when I did ' /setblock ~ ~ ~ sticky_piston 15 ', but it is still the same texture.
How do you do those commands? I have 1.5.2 but I only know
/give "player" "blockid" and it will go to my inventory. How do spawn blocks???

What code do you use to get your world I want to get it?
I know about more secret blocks, but its outdated..
Wheat has values up to 8 or something like that, which indicates how much it has grown. But if you go further, you would get random different blocks in the same shape as the wheat, like a redstone torch, normal torch, and i dont remember the rest but it was weird
