    The late Eugene Kavanagh is my great uncle, this family pub is part of my heritage and I’m proud of it❤️

    I'm not sure where the name came from as in "are you going for a jar?" but it's a phrase I use regularly, great pint of Guinness, I love the fact there's no Internet or TV, it's just a conversation with your friends new n old and a few jars of Guinness of course

      Glasnevin Cemetery. Well worth the visit for the sheer magnitude of it.

      Some very famous Irish people buried there including the famous Daniel O’ Connell who founded the cemetery and Michael Collins. I was there yesterday and went into kavanagh’s for the best creamy pint of Guinness in Ireland.

    Cavenagh's owner barred the great Luke Kelly for singing a song with friends after a funeral service in Glasnevin cemetery ....friendly pub !!
