@@bigdawg77 There is no "fast lane" We have a "Rechtsfahrgebot" which means you have to drive on the right side. If you don't plan on passing someone in the next 30 seconds, you HAVE to drive on the right side. Nothing to discuss.

Trucks (at least in Germany) have something called blindspots, where the truck driver can't see the road or their surroundings. Now a car going 200kmh is really hard to see of it goes through the blindspots and then is visible for about 3 seconds do to that speed. In Germany there are parts of the autobahn where you can drive as fast as your car can, but it is advised not to drive to fast when you can't see clearly, like at night, or when there are too many vehicles. Nobody told the driver to go that fast, he could have driven about 120kmh and could have survived because then the truck driver could have seen him more easily and he would have had more time to react too.
You forgot the part where truck drivers in Europe are taught to stay in the far right lane as they’re governed to 65 mph. Trucks are never supposed to pass anyone, this really shocked me when I visited America and drove on America’s interstate highway and saw trucks in the middle and left lane.
And trucks are supposed to signal when going to the left lane and of the truck driver even looked into his mirror he would probably see atleast a light because it was night (as far as i know)
...You know what they actually teach to new professional truck / semi drivers? they tell them "If you can't see, don't go, if you aren't sure, don't go.", not seeing something is not an excuse when you change lanes or turn, if you didn't see you shouldn't have done the maneuver in the first place, it's a shitty situation and me, along with all other professional drivers are aware of how bad it is to drive these things even without there being some jackass in their BMW brake checking a vehicle that would make them multiple new assholes to add to their asshole collection. You cannot blame anyone else for driving badly in a vehicle that you have been trained into, some drivers go through 3 years of schooling and military on top of that, making them have minimum of 4 years of driving experience essentially in the professional sense. That said, to my knowledge, if you drive fast on the autobahn, you essentially give up your life for that period of time, nobody else can be responsible for you, so that was the RS6 driver's mistake and they took the risk and paid the cost. Now, the truck driver who changed lanes while having no lights on, not using turn signal and on top of that being drunk? they took their risk too and i do hope they got what they deserved as well, that is life. Edit : Also, on top of that, professional drivers in Europe are told to drive in the right lane if it's a two lane road, the left lane is for passing, it is afterall called the "passing lane", obviously this is the opposite in UK where they drive on the left side so the big vehicles are on the left lane and the normal traffic is in the right lane.
There is no speed limit but the guy still ended in coffin, even when you are right you can't defy physic laws so drive defensively unless you want a chance to be inside a coffin after. Heck even driving defensively can sometimes ended up inside a coffin too.
@@fakefaz that's the point, it's legal by law but that's too fast to react if shit hit the fan unless driver can have a vision about what will going for the next 30 seconds. That speed is way too much to react as a human, and guess maybe truck driver only ended up in jail. Even Aryton Senna will probably slip his car driving at that speed suprised by hazard in his line of way. And for more consideration, those autobahn can be blocked by foreign things such as animals, branch, stones, debris, etc that make road danger to drive at whatever maximum speed. So drive defensively my bro.
With all honesty, 200 km/h is insanely fast and you should be aware of your surroundings if you were to drive that fast. The truck driver is obvioulsy old and may not have had the awareness to check in his mirrors especially at night. But due to the incompetence of both drivers one had to unfortunately pass in a gruesome accident. This should be a lesson learnt by the world and not only the truck driver. May the driver he rest in peace🕊️🕊️🕊️
its the autobauhn and it has no speed limit and plus the left lane is the fast lane why would a truck wanna go into the fast lane when theres cars going rlly fast
As someone who almost daily drives on the German Autobahn: You can definitely see someone going 200-300km/h in the mirror. I can not understand why a truck went all the way to the left lane when he can’t drive more than 90km/h either way… Btw these sections of the autobahn are secure enough to allow top speed so there wasn’t any large hight changes to possible block the view of the mirror.
Bro, how the fuck can it be truck fault if guy in the car was driving about 300 km/h, like the truck driver probably didn't even see him because bro was faster than wind

@@justinleischnigyour comment is basically wrong. The rule is you have to drive on the right side of the road. „Rechtsfahrgebot“ nicht „Linksfahrgebot“ Do you have a drivers license? Then you should know, that no speed limit does not allow you to drive as fast as your car can. It allows you to drive as fast as the surroundings let you. And if you are driving at night 250-300kph is definitely too fast. Furthermore you should know that in every case if you are going above the recommended speed limit of 130kph you can be held partial guilty in almost every case. So the RS6 driver is at least partial responsible for his own fate.
Believe me when I tell you that it is almost impossible for the truck driver to have seen the Audi when he is driving at 200 km/h in the dark, when you look in the mirrors you don't see it and the next moment he is there
I didn't think it's his fault. The location of the accident was Autobahn and he's free to travel without a speed limit, but I think it's the fault of the truck that changed lanes without turning on the turn signal and looking in the mirror. Anyway, rest in peace

This is so misleading, I've seen the original video cam footage and the truck driver was in the wrong in every way or shape possible. The truck's lights were not on, in fact, even after the crash you will see they still aren't, so they were simply not working. The truck definitely did not use turning signals, and It's pretty obvious from the real footage that he fell asleep...
Here my thoughts: the Rs6 was driving at a high speed and when the truck was turning he didn't see the Rs6 in his rear view mirror since the Rs6 was going so fast the Rs6 had to be far away and then the Rs6 hit the truck when it already turned in that lane and then thats where the car went flying into the pole. And the truck driver could have done it of thought it was something else than a car, since it was night. And i hope this help better explained the crash.
There is absolutely NO reason why a TRUCK should be switching lines to the fastest one in the “empty” road. Like why would you go to the fastest lane on a slow car knowing you’re on the road with no speed limit? Million % truck driver’s fault, and he should have been punished.
for anyone saying its the drivers fault, it was in a no speed limit sector of the autobahn thus meaning it was the truck drivers responsibility to check his mirrors when changing lanes

Turning on your turn signal isn't some magic that prevents you from being held liable in an accident or gives you the right of way.
@@bigdawg77 There is no "fast lane" We have a "Rechtsfahrgebot" which means you have to drive on the right side. If you don't plan on passing someone in the next 30 seconds, you HAVE to drive on the right side. Nothing to discuss.
@@coutantgaming299yeah it could. I’ve seen videos of cars on the autobahn going 300 when Somone suddenly merges 20ft in front of them and they manage to slow down. The rs6 wouldn’t have to stop, just slow down from 200 to like 140. Too bad trucker didn’t use blinker
if it happened just like in the video, at night, it is harder to tell if there is any car in the mirror, especially if the car is going fast as it will not appear for long enough, and also you check once maybe twice in the mirror you're not constantly looking there,

The Audi RS6 was going at 300 km/h!

Anyways even if the truck driver checked he may be don't gonna see the car because of the speed
The autobahn has no speed limit, trucks are not allowed to go infront of a car when turning into the road, so no
@@adnanassaf350 I don’t think you understand the comment, because the rs6 was going was well over 160mph, the truck driver never even seen him coming… it would’ve happened like a flash.
@@jt0094 no, because truck drivers are instructed to not go infront of cars, especially on this highway, and it is reported that he wss drunk, cant tell you if that was 100 percent correct tho
@@adnanassaf350 ahhh I get what you mean. But my understanding is that even if the truck driver checked his rear view, he wouldn’t of seen the RS6 because it was travelling too fast. But if you mean trucks aren’t allowed on the inside lane, that makes more sense to me
300 km/h is 186.41 mph dude
@SuperEman500 i didn't know trucks in America are allowed to overtake cars , im not an expert in that field but know same basis.
And trucks are supposed to signal when going to the left lane and of the truck driver even looked into his mirror he would probably see atleast a light because it was night (as far as i know)
Its not possible to react that fast to something unexpected which moves that fast.
...You know what they actually teach to new professional truck / semi drivers? they tell them "If you can't see, don't go, if you aren't sure, don't go.", not seeing something is not an excuse when you change lanes or turn, if you didn't see you shouldn't have done the maneuver in the first place, it's a shitty situation and me, along with all other professional drivers are aware of how bad it is to drive these things even without there being some jackass in their BMW brake checking a vehicle that would make them multiple new assholes to add to their asshole collection.

@@vincentseng but yes he was legally going too fast

Do you have a drivers license? Then you should know, that no speed limit does not allow you to drive as fast as your car can. It allows you to drive as fast as the surroundings let you. And if you are driving at night 250-300kph is definitely too fast.

The truck definitely did not use turning signals, and It's pretty obvious from the real footage that he fell asleep...
My man was listening kerosene and going 200km/hr is no joke man
Here my thoughts: the Rs6 was driving at a high speed and when the truck was turning he didn't see the Rs6 in his rear view mirror since the Rs6 was going so fast the Rs6 had to be far away and then the Rs6 hit the truck when it already turned in that lane and then thats where the car went flying into the pole.
That car was absolutely FLYING it doesn't matter when that elderly man checked his mirrors or not because that thing would flash past him
for anyone saying its the drivers fault, it was in a no speed limit sector of the autobahn thus meaning it was the truck drivers responsibility to check his mirrors when changing lanes
