A wash day is truly a whole day selfcare experience especially when your hair is over shoulder length. I permed my hair after 17 years of being natural this year after a bad experience at a Dominican hair salon in NY. Watching this video reminds of me of how I used to love to take care of my hair when I did it myself. I think I will transition back to natural in the beginning of the new year.

I have trimmed my locs once a year (by choice) and my hair got so long I cut about half off when it was past my mid back as they were heavy (and healthy).
