    Welp, guys. You made em sell out.
    EDIT:
    Just called the owner and he said they have their own manufacturing facility in the US so they’ll be back in stock soon. He said you can there’s a pre-order waitlist atm, so earlier orders get shipped sooner.
    Here’s my $100 discount link if you wanna get on the wait list:

      I placed an order yesterday for their "cheaper" model, the Ace.
      I had a problem which anyone ordering should know about - their bank is not in the USA, so I incurred a 3% international transaction fee on my credit card - $60.
      Nowhere on their website is any indication that they are based anywhere other than the United States. The address on the site is in Iowa. The bank that charged my card is in China. I got nothing against China or Chinese companies, but I do against companies that try to hide who they are.
      Your discount code works on the Ace as well as the One, by the way, but then they charge for shipping, so it only saved me $20.
      Update: they refunded me the $60 this morning, which was the right thing to do, of course.

      Well, Titan is offering free shipping. As a result, it rejects Ed's link (save $20, plus maybe Ed gets a fee for hie well deserved contribution?) now. There is no option to pick which discount.

    The other cool thing I heard about this is that you can create your own drills and then share them with the Titan community. You could have an Ed Ju (kitchen, singles, doubles, reset, etc) training routine and others could implement it with their Titan. Can you confirm this Ed? Thanks for your content!

    Paying thousands of dollars upfront for a machine that is months out is an issue. The company should allow for a deposit (instead of paying all up front) until the equipment comes in. Hard pass on this…

    • @jslays11
      @jslays11 6 місяців тому +1

      Most small companies use lean project management until they know there's interest and they have historical data to help guide them. Until they have that they'll work with ordering a minimal amount of stock on their first PO to avoid overproduction and tying all their money up in product. As a consumer I know how annoying it is but if they just charged deposits at this point in the company's early age the overall price of the product would likely need to be higher. I'd rather pay less overall, imo.

    Thanks for the nice review. I have a question concerning repeatability. Once you get a shot dialed in for height and depth was the machine able to match that shot repeatably? My issue with the two machines ( different manufacturers both the high end model) I have had is they both lacked the ability to put a ball in the same area consistently. I don’t expect that they would drop it on the same exact spot each time but let’s say in an area the size of a hoopla hoop. I am seriously ready to buy if it can deliver the balls to the same area repeatedly. Love all of technology possibilities and sharing opportunities. Thanks for your feedback!

    • @edjupickleball
      @edjupickleball  7 місяців тому +4

      That's a great question and I had a similar concern as well. If you have it on manual, and tell it to hit in a specific spot, it will hit that spot again and again, no variance.
      There's this one video of it on their instagram page, where they put TWO titan machines in front of each other and have it feed into each other's hopper. It created an infinite loop because it was accurate every time. They said they do that test to guarantee each machine was dialed in perfectly.

    I am waiting for the mid April shipping and had a question about the phone app. Can I start setting up drills like the one you and your wife used at the kitchen line before I connect to a machine (via blue tooth)? If so, I haven't figured out how. Have you thought about a video teaching the phone app?

    Can a pickleball machine be consciously used at a crowded, free public park court maybe 20 minutes at a time, swapping out to waiting players-? Is this ethical and will other players complain?
    Otherwise, if I don’t have my own personal court, where, when and how would I be able to practice with the Titan?
    BTW…would love to see a side by side comparison with the Erne since it seems to have comparable specs but a few hundred dollars cheaper.
    Thanks for all of your informative videos!

    • @andreii.6094

      I have some experience with it (and in the past had a similar experience with a tennis ball machine). The main problem is about hundred balls which unavoidably get scattered around. It is difficult to be a "good citizen" on a court with so many balls. You have a little better odds at "herding" the balls if you get a corner court and hit all balls diagonally into the corner, and your odds of not being a nuisance for everyone else are even better if concrete slab is slightly tilted so that balls have tendency to roll towards the fence or into the corner. Still, you will have to use only the shots which reliably go into the desired direction... My best known methods was show at the court very early in the morning, at sunrise, and leave around 8 am or when other players come. If you need to practice during busy hours, you will be bothering everyone else. Hit with a wall instead, it is also very useful.

      Thank you for that info! I wish pickleball centers could rent out the Titan machine + court for the hour! It would be perfect for people to drill without a partner or for 2 people who just want to practice and not play rec games.

    Now that's a game changer so to speak in ball machines. My question is how does the Titan shoot
    a "flat ball"? I put my Tutor on a table net high at the Kitchen line to "blast" shots for fire fight practice.

    • @edjupickleball
      @edjupickleball  7 місяців тому

      That’s a good question! You can adjust the setting to no spin “aka flat”. Tbh I didn’t tinker around with the manual settings too much because I’m too lazy to try and tune it myself, but the kitchen dinks were mostly flat. I’m sure I can crank the speed, make spin 0, and it should be what you’re looking for. Just be careful not to practice hitting “out” balls :)

    • @luke9822
      @luke9822 2 місяці тому +1

      @@shannonruble8085 The hopper is a bit small. It's about 84 balls tight, and with that many you have to be careful when refilling with tubes because they want to rush out and spill over. It means reloading more often. The hopper would be nice, but I'm not sure how that works for portability. The one advantage the Titan One has with this shape is zipping up the balls inside and taking it with you. It's kind of hard to carry two tubes and the machine with my paddle bag on my back, and then walking with it from my car to the far courts in my club.
      It looks like the Ernie has expanded their capabilities to compete with the Titan on the programmable drills. They are also introducing a 16 function remote. The Titan app, on the other hand, is a bit beta at this point. The QR code scanning doesn't even work on Android (at least from my experience). They say they're revamping it.

    That's terrible marketing for them to estimate 2 hours battery life if you're getting 4 hours with half a battery left. They should say 6 hours or something. Much better selling point to know you can drill all day vs 2 hours.
