About to order the Titan through your link! thanks.. I've found conflicting information around which balls to use in the machine. Any thoughts on which is best and the best deal as to where to purchase them?
I use the Selkirk Pro S1 cause they literally don’t break. Best ball to keep in a machine for years and years. You can also use any of the following and you’d be okay: Vulcan, Dura, Franklin, Gearbox. Here’s the link to the Selkirks: www.selkirk.com/products/pro-s1-100?sca_ref=4516571.n0z0Xqk6sI
Recent insights that might change the calculus quite a bit: *(1)* Titan's 2-year warranty is non-transferable, hugely affecting resale value if you want to sell it (and makes buying the extended warranty a bad idea unless you're certain you want it longer than 2 years). *(2)* Ernie just introduced programmable, multishot drills like Titan has. *(3)* Ernie will include a 16-function remote for free with all orders moving forward (just got off the phone with them). If you ask me, the non-transferable warranty is a nonstarter for many, and doesn't make sense. What if you buy it as a gift for someone? Or after a few months want to sell it and recoup a good portion of your investment?
If people are spending thousands of dollars on gifts for other people, they aren’t going to have any problem sending the machine back or contacting Titan for the person they bought the gift for. I don’t see this S a problem at all.
@@pickleballplaybook Not being able to resell a machine and transfer the warranty is a *huge* deal and significantly impacts the resale value. Titan should eliminate that restriction. People often buy a machine, use it for a few months, it sits around, and then they sell it to someone else. Warranty the machine, not the person.
@@pickleballplaybook I own a Titan One and have zero financial benefit if someone buys either machine. If you look at my points above, you'll see that the biggest benefit that favored the Titan is now a feature of the Ernie: programmable, multi-shot routines. The warranty is a major deal to anyone that will want to sell it at some point. Titan values 3 years of non-transferrable warranty at $350. Assuming that is true, transferrable would easily be $500. Ernie is also including (for free) a 16 function remote moving forward and they answer the phone for all questions. Honestly, given my personal interaction with both companies I'd recommend Ernie, and I own the Titan. The Titan is fun and I'm happy with it. I wish I could use your QR codes to try more drills, but the Android app is broken and doesn't allow it (even the recent version).
I actually texted the Titan rep today and told him you are going to miss a lot more sales with your non-transferrable warranty than it is going to cost the company if someone sells. He did say he would bounce it off the company. Maybe its a start to eliminate this unnecessary difference especially with the 1 year shorter warranty.

Great, great coverage of both machines. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. One thing I do wonder about is the "lighter is better" supposition. If we presume that the additional weight of the Erne is coming from a heavier duty motor (which may be the reason for longer warranty), then this may actually be an advantage for the Erne and not for the Titan. Thoughts?
Your comparision regarding Programming did not seem to compare apples to apples... did you comment or mention the timing or programmability of the Titan vs the Erne? You complained about the timing of setting back up to repeat a programmed drill on the Erne... is this possible on the Titan, and if so, how did the timing compare? Also, surely there are drills and programmable settings that are developed and shareable by Erne users out there. You did not mention this.
Maybe there are shareable drills now but it is not possible with the erne to simply share a drill with your friend directly from the app. Also on the timing it’s much quicker to set up drills for the Titan because 99% of the drills you do the Titan is in the same spot on the court. Also you know exactly what drill you’ll get with the Titan, while with the erne each machine is different from the other. I’ve spent a lot of time with both machines. I am affiliated with both Erne and Titan. Titan is far superior. I was extremely fair with this review. Hope that answers your questions and helps!
Nice video but I guess I'm one of the oddballs and went with the Erne but I have waited so long to get it that I actually forgotten why LOL!!!! Actually I think it had something to do with the ability to program a bit better than the Titan but honestly, it's been on order so long I really did forget. Ours in dure to ship now within a couple weeks.
the wait time on the Erne is long. Time is money and greater than 60 days of the statement after taking your money if you don't get your machine you're out of luck if they fail to deliver
Is the Titan one or the other Titan ball machine clearly better, quality, quality control, durability ability, etc. vs Ernie/spin shot/tutor/lobster, etc. How about as far as one brand or model jamming or getting stuck etc.? What else might want to know? Thank you.
Nothing beats the Titan. I have tried all of those machines and spent a significant amount of time with the Erne/Titan/Lobster. The Titan One is king because it stores the balls inside it. The Titan ace is smaller but you have to carry the balls separately. Same motors (fastest motors) and quickest at changing speeds. For a top tier ball machine I’d pick Titan. For a good ball machine with all the basic features, slinger would be my second choice. You can find all these ball machines in the description of the video or at www.pickleballplaybook.app
If they are going to go into clubs they need to buy an older Iphone and rent the machines with a single Iphone instead of players struggling with their multiple phones if this is possible.
Very similar! The Ace has faster motor (can change from going slow to fast quicker than Erne). Longer lasting battery/detachable battery. More accurate with shots
Yeah I don’t know what the deal is. I feel like they’d get so many more sales if they just put it into I no entry, but I don’t think they have enough storage space or something.
As a company, Erne blows. Spent $2k and zero info on status of order. Crickets. no email return, text, . I hope my experience is the outlier. If I had there address I would fly there to ask why they are blowing me off. Pissed and frustrated. Saved the money to buy this reviewed equipment and feel like I got screwed

I took this into consideration. The motor of the Titan is better in every way. It can speed up and slow down quicker and shoot faster 👍
Hope you enjoy it! Haha
Dave, how are you liking your Send now?
Erne, not Send!
@@skelthouser2730 I'm enjoying it very much. I find it to be a great tool. Thanks for asking.
Do you have a recommendation for a net to place above the Titan to catch the balls you've hit and drop them back into the Titan?
That’s a great question. I don’t but I’m sure there is something on Amazon 🙌
the wait time on the Erne is long. Time is money and greater than 60 days of the statement after taking your money if you don't get your machine you're out of luck if they fail to deliver
Crazy! Way too long to wait
Titan with the extension seems like it would be a better choice for an indoor club. That would be a great category- indoor club use.
Yeah I agree. They should definitely step into the space!
If they are going to go into clubs they need to buy an older Iphone and rent the machines with a single Iphone instead of players struggling with their multiple phones if this is possible.
great info!
now to miss a few house payments to buy one!
Hahahahha for real though!
Open top version of the Titan is about the same as the Erne
Very similar! The Ace has faster motor (can change from going slow to fast quicker than Erne). Longer lasting battery/detachable battery. More accurate with shots
So, even at that price, they aren’t willing to inventory their products?
Is this really such a low volume product?
Yeah I don’t know what the deal is. I feel like they’d get so many more sales if they just put it into I no entry, but I don’t think they have enough storage space or something.
I know if I was independently wealthy I’d already have a Titan.
It’s well worth it! You got this
I believe you misspoke. The Titan with the Hopper holds 240 balls total not 325
I love your channel and have the Titan. It’s the best
You are correct ✅
@@pickleballplaybook The ability to on the fly customize and modify drills is my favorite aspect. In my way to pro so hope to see you someday
Good review
Thanks! I appreciate it 🙌
Great video
Thanks!
Ace Titan "Ace", looks to me possible winner?
Thanks
Second place to the Titan One 👍
As a company, Erne blows. Spent $2k and zero info on status of order. Crickets. no email return, text, . I hope my experience is the outlier. If I had there address I would fly there to ask why they are blowing me off. Pissed and frustrated. Saved the money to buy this reviewed equipment and feel like I got screwed
I haven’t heard anything about their customer service yet. So this is great to know. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience with them. They blew me and my brother off with pay by commissions and it took them 4 months to finally pay after following up 10+ times.
For what it is Erne should be at most $1000.
I completely agree!
Send me the address i can fly over there to pick it up
lol!
cybertruck
True! haha
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Titan has random oscillation option
It does 👍👍
downvoted due to the presence of a cybertruck in the video.
Haha you know you love it
I believe you misspoke. The Titan with the Hopper holds 240 balls total not 325
I love your channel and have the Titan. It’s the best
Yes I did haha. Brings the capacity up to 240 balls!
