Thank you for taking the time to show this. New to the diesel platform I'm glad you showed where to put some cardboard and paper towels to keep from making a big mess I would have never thought about that right off the bat! Appreciate you saving me a headache and a mess
This was an excellent video. I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and for whatever reason I feel funny about changing the oil myself (probably because its a late model). Watching your video I feel just fine doing it (like I have on a lot of older cars). Your video is going to save me a lot of ridiculous service charges! Thank you for a great video.
Wow. Amazing price on the filters and oil. I’ve heard $400+ for dealership oil changes. Thanks for sharing the video and showing others how to work on their truck! Awesome content that’s straight to the point. Foil also works under the drain plug and filter 🤘🏻
Great suggestions with the carboard and rags to keep oil off the undercarriage. Too bad the dealership I go to doesn't do the same. Always oil dripping on garage floor which is piss off. For the skid plate I think I might try some tin foil.
Sorry, accidentally gave a thumbs down, (fat thumbs), gave thumbs up too, which I meant to give. Thanks, straight forward, to the point. Good work. Getting under my 19 right now.
I have a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and I’m averaging 18 MPG every tank. I’m in Colorado and do some mountain driving, but also live at 6,000 feet here on the high prairie - not sure if altitude has much impact. I did get 22 MPG on a longer road trip with nearly all highway mileage. Best advice: Go easy on the acceleration, and avoid “gottagetthereitis”.
Damn that’s cheap, I did mine yesterday with 5W-40 synthetic and it was $170. Dealer would have been probably $350. The synthetic oil was expensive at $140 for 10 liters. Canadian prices
$189+ at the dealer now. Excellent video. Very thorough. Thank you.
I payed $45 dollars for 10qts of Stp 15w-40 oil and the filter! So much better than paying $120 at the local lube shop

Thanks for the video! About to do my first L5P oil change and this improved my confidence level tremendously
Great video. You just saved me $100 each time I do it myself going forward.

Good video . Very clean job. I saw another video where the guy used aluminum foil instead of the cardboard. Worked good. Nice truck too.
Your videos are great bro, changed my own oil 👏🏼
Thank you for the video just bought one of these and your video is exactly how step by step.
Thanks for the cardboard tip! Good walk thru video 👍🏽
Great video, no bs and excellent tips for diyers. Thanks for pointing out the page in the owners manual also!
Fumoto valve for the oil pan..Zero mess

Did I miss the part about a crush washer on the oil drain plug? Or is it not necessary?
Not necessary never had an issue.
No crush washer on the drain plug does it need one or not
Thank you so much 😊
I wanna know how the guy is getting nearly 18 mpg. Lol any feedback is welcome. I'm around 13.5 mpg. Normal hauling here and there and daily driver.
I’ll have to ask him and let you know next time I see him he does a lot of in town driving as well so not really sure lol.
I get about 22mph on the highway and 18 combined easy, 2017 3500
I just changed my map sensor and it bumped me from 14 to 16 mpg
I have 17 combined, 2017 2500... and that's with a lot of mountain driving. Not sure what the issue is with yours.

I thought you’d not suppose to use synthetic
