This is fantastic, I love it! I am not sure I would have the patience to do this, or that my hands would not hurt too much. Could I just buy them from you?
I don't have an Etsy or any other shop at the moment. But even if I did, the shipping cost is very high (I am located in Canada). It costs just as much to ship a basket as I charge for the basket itself.
Thanks 🙂. I use the polymeric glue. I'm not sure where you live and what's available in your country, but if you are somewhere in North America, you can use Beacon 3 in 1 glue. You can buy it in stores or online (e.g. Walmart, Amazon, etc.)
Miss Olena, my weavers don’t have as much body as yours. They are floppy and tend to flatten instead of keeping the round shape. It may because I had to substitute packing paper for newsprint, or it may be that the weavers are too wet. Do you let the weavers become almost dry in the middle section?
@@miraclewicker Perhaps my packing paper is not a good substitute. It’s hard to find recycled newsprint now because so many subscribers read their newspapers online. (I even asked the public library for their old print newspapers, but they are only allowed to give them to schools and charities.) I looking into purchasing newsprint, but US paper mills are frustratingly inconsistent in how they define paper weight. If only the U.S. would go metric!
@@miraclewickerYou were right; my 1/16” (1.588mm) rod was too thick. I’m still using 10cm-wide paper strips, but switched to a 1.2mm wire. The rods are much sturdier. Thanks!
This is exactly what i was looking for! Such a great explanation.
Thank you ❤️

thanks

Most likely it has to do with the thickness of the needle (wire) you use for making your weavers and/or with the width of the paper strips.
