- After so many years I finally wanted to update my Top10 BEST IFV - Fighting Vehicle in the world list made in 2015 but this time with more details!
I separated the list in WHEELED and TRACKED vehicles (I'll do the same for the APC list of course) and added the specifications on video!

Versatilità, armamenti e configurazioni possibili hanno dato una marcia in più. In base ai criteri le stesse macchine (alcune almeno) presenti anche nella futura lista APC avranno posizione diversa.
In questo caso considerando come principale obiettivo quello di attaccare la fanteria ed in secondo piano il trasporto le armi e le configurazioni di armamento hanno avuto la priorità :)

Patria AMV is absolutely top notch and comes in many configurations including the deadliest mortar systems in existance, AMOS and NEMO.

Good video my friend, but I think one thing that improve this and the future videos, when you talk about armor you may put the kinds of threats can withstand one specific type of armor in each type vehicle. If you had the information about the quantity of milimeters width of armor in one specific vehicle, you may put it.
The Patria AMV is the best wheeled IFV. His armor can withstand 30 mm autocannon rounds in all around of the vehicle.
I think you may put the russian boomerang IFV in the second place, and add the BTR 82A or the stryker vehicle on the last places.

The stryker is just a variant of the Canadian LAV that is a variant of the Piranha so I didn't add it :)
Top 10 automatic rifles please (for next video)
rajat vinerkar That would be VERY, VERY HARD to make. Filling a specific criteria is gonna be complicated. A person has to know the parts of the gun, the flaws, kinetic energy, penetration (probably), recoil stuff, ambitious capabilities (sometimes) and soooo much more to know about! If not then he would probably use sources. If not then the criteria would be less specific...
But I dunno. I still think it would be too hard to make.
Patria AMV XP version was first time presented during International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce (Poland) 2015 and it's a product of long cooperation between finish Patria and polish Rosomak S.A. So first place is for Finland/Poland :)
I would like to have the sources about this co-development. Not only I can't find proofs about it but the first country to receive this variant was Slovakia

Really? I think the wheeled one are more fascinating :D The tracked things for me are only tanks ahah
Well as far as I know tracks perform better at bad weather (haha, i did a rhyme... i think...) and tracked vehicles can turn on the spot while a wheeled vehicle needs to traverse before it can turn. However unlike wheeled vehicles tracked vehicles lose speed while turning when moving.
Also in my opinion tracked vehicled accelerate better and more smoothly on difficult terrains or mud or snow. (Except the Abrams...) An example to back up my opinion should probably be the performance results of the KPZ-70 at terrain. And the Puma light wheeled tank destroyer from WW2. The KPZ is a heavier vehicle but has a very powerful engine (2550hp at 2500 rpm I think). The Puma was probably the best armored car durng WW2. It had a good wheeled armor car design. The engine was a very good accelerator making the car go top speed at a 100 kph and the reverse speed was also 100 kph. But such speed was mostly achieved by the weight. The KPZ accelerates faster but is stuck at 64kph. Again the weight is probably the reason for the speed. Never the less the reverse speed is also the same. However thats only on flat and urban terrain. The Puma struggles to accelerate at mud which means that the top speed is halved. At arround 40 kph. The KPZ would perform better even at climbing slopes.
Or maybe Im saying nonsense. Im not really sure how to explain it correctly but if we talk about the modern heavy wheeled IFVs then I highly agree with you. Especially this ninja is fascinating.8:27. And yes, the tracked ones do make the IFVs look like light tanks.
TheDarthDesigner Oh by the way I don't think wheeled can handle recoil from a high caliber howitzer.
The tracked are better in many situation but not so much when you need to deploy them quickly. They are slower and can't fit air transports. To fight the infantry I think the wheeled one are better and for bigger enemy you can use the tanks...but hey it's just an opinion.
About the wheeled that can't handle the recoil...just take a look to the wheeled gun systems as the Stryker or B1 Centauro...or even better one the few things I'm proud of my country...the Centauro 155mm ...it's a little monster on wheels :D

Good list overall, but IMO you placed the Boxer far too low. It really is an impressive vehicle, with unparalleled range, modularity, and the AMAP armor is the most impressive modular armor I've seen. It also has an option for an APS to be mounted. The lack of an NBC system is a detriment, but not THAT big of a deal these days. I would have put the Boxer at #4, or possibly even #3 (I don't fully trust the specs on the Bumerang yet), and moved the others down.
Also, it's spelled Grenade, not granade, FYI. Otherwise, good video.
First of all thank you so much for the comment and for the correction! I will fix the typo in the next update.
About the Boxer, actually the only position I was not sure about was the 6-5 spot. They are very similar and they could be inverted so the boxer could be at the 5 spot too. But no more. The Bumerang need to be trusted......the full list is based on the specs and If I start not trusting them for one or more machines would be a problem. I need to apply the same criteria to everyone.And the VBCI 2 it's an awesome machine, very reliable and that demonstrated to work very good in real war scenarios. So also if in terms of specs they are close the VBCI win for experience and reliability (moreover have slightly better specs in the IFV configuration while in the APC one seems the opposite)
However they are all awesome machines and in these kind of lists the weapons are not so far from each other.You can split the list in 3 parts like 1st place the numbers 1-3, 2nd place 4-7 and 3rd place 8-10, changing the machines in these 3 parts as you wish and the result would be the same :D
Why you take only Pars 8x8 from Turkish vehicles? Arma 8x8 or Nurol Ejder 6x6 are also powerful competitors. There are many armored vehicles Turkey produce.
I would give Australia's more credit but they cost a lot like a bleeding tank

Yes I know the UKM 2000 but it doesn't matter.It can use a 7.62mm coaxial gun, you can change it with any other machine with the same caliber. On some machines I even don't put the name. When possible I add an example but it's not necessary

The IFV/APC itself is the protection. The troops come out from the rear using the machine as shield while the APC/IFV fires and makes the area safe for them

So why would Australia ever chose the Boxer over the Patria? They're both as expensive? Maybe because the vehicle itself (so not the guns) are just better or something? Or because the Boxer is more APC likke than an actual IFV, while the Patria is the precise opposite? I really don't know.
(By the way, Great Britain also chose for the Boxer, and Lithuania, Germany and the Netherlands already use it)
@TheDarthDesigner could you make a top 10 video on wheeled APC's then, I'm sure the rankings will be quite different, while having the same vehicles in the ranking. It seems that your video from 3 years ago is outdated. I'm sure the Boxer would fare a lot better in an APC ranking (top 3?).

For now I'm preparing the tracked IFV part that received most votes in the survey on the video.

In 2nd place (Switzerland) you can see a piranha 3c with white letters and Roman numerals. Reading educates. And why did the films have a new soundtrack? The vehicle does not rattle when driving. The Altay is not a copy of the K2 but a VARIANT of the K2 because the main frame is product under license from the K2 tank.

altay and k2 are 2 different tanks and altay isnt a variant of the k2 if you say so then the k2 is a variant of the m1 and m1 is a variant of the leopard and etc all modern tanks use parts from each other it was turkeys first tank they did need TECHNICAL assistence from south kore not TECHNOLOGICAL turkey didnt buy the k2 and just build some turkish parts in it almost all systems are made in turkey from fire controll to armor only the engine isnt finished yet and the gun is a copy of the german 120mm l55 but even the k2 does use a german engine and gun and m1 abrahams uses british armor and german gun does that mean m1 is a variant of the challenger or leo no
The ALTAY is based on the K2, accept the truth.The cannon technology comes directly from the K2 without ANY difference and the chassis is the same but a little longer (7 wheels) with a different turret design.The main difference is the powerpack and electronics, but it's still based on the K2.

NO the K2 isn't based on the M1, The US never sold their abrams project to Korea or had a contract with them.It's a very stupid example.

They needed BOTH technical and technological support.They bought from Hyundai Rotem Co. the XK2 Black Panther base design, expertise and parts required, technical support system, C3I and help with modernization of Otokar’s factory in the northwestern province of Sakarya. It's a lot of stuff.

The Rheinmetall gun is the same but the gun system is different and made by South Korea. In fact the leopard doesn't have an autocannon while the K2 yes and the EXACTLY SAME system is present on the Altay without differences, as I said before.

Again another error, the M1 Abrams doesn't use the British armour.The M1 adopt a depleted uranium armour while the Challenger the Chobham Armour that is made by Titanium,tunghsten,ceramic and kevlar.Other specs are classified but they are different.So, try again if you want...but next time please inform a little better first thanks

Rosomak is just one variant of the patria made by the Polish. Its originally from Finland.
