Definitely what we've all been waiting to ask. Really insightful! One of the videos that I have sworn by is from Ms. D's channel on Insecticides (contact vs systemic) when I was really new to planting and I could not for the life of me solve my ants and bugs problem but it was answered in one video. I like that the content is easy to understand even for newbies like me. It's not overwhelming and it gives you something to be confident about in taking care of your own succulents during this upcoming summer.
Thank you again for the knowledge-sharing! Kahit na iba micro climate ko dito, may mga napupulot parin akong info on how to take good care of these babies👍🏼.
My succulents first summer, puro kasi fog sa Marawi kaya di pa ako naka experience.. now im in Butuan again so need ko talaga to. May the odds be ever in my favor 💚🥺
Iniiwasan ko na talagang mag mine Ms.D simula mung napanuod ko yung live niyo, instead ung mga pang mine iniipon ko for growlights para ready na sa summer and rainy season. Thank youu
Your featured plants are so pretty Dorothy, all growing well, Korean succulents are really pretty and most of mine are indoor under grow lights plus they are next to a big southwest facing window, they love it and growing well. The bulk of my collection though are outside in the greenhouse and doing so well. But I think they get a lot tougher and a lot prettier if they are subjected to all elements. I have some I left out all year that survive the cold winter and harsh summer. They are the champ with beautiful leaves and very hardy stem, the weak ones died but most survive. I’m watching LizK channel and hers are mostly outside with temps below freezing at times and really hot summers ( with shade cloth of course) but all are beautiful. I’m looking forward to spring so I can go out in the garden and enjoy the plants. Regards again.
Thats actually my main goal! To expose them to the elements.. he rainy season herr is just too much for korean succulents. We get rain for weeks on end.. thats my prob. And fungl atracks during that time.. :( how i wish theres a way to fix that.. :( i am still trying and have place several kpops on the ground last year december. Hopefully they can survive summer and the rainy season! :)
I guess with the Philippines climate, succulents will suffer mostly from the rain, the best is covered shade house and using shade cloth in the summer. But yours are looking really good though. Regards
Tama lang gamitin ang beach umbrella for added protection hehehhe. Good to know about not exposing to the elements this summer was really thinking of putting some of my plants sa roof ng plant stand. Thanks ms . D
Now I have another plant to add in my "must-buy" list! Thanks for the tips. It's weird but I am looking forward for summer. I experienced summer already with my local succulents but it'll be my first with my imported plants. But you're tips will definitely make this summer journey easier. Thanks Ms D!
Pwede po wala. May bet ko lang shade net and uv kasi may panahon na di gaano kainit so kinakaya ng uv plastic lang ;) tapos may araw din na need may shade net talaga.. hehehe!!
