Crescent. You are killing it bro. I discovered you a couple weeks ago and watching every vid. I've been researching this for the past 6 months and your vids are by far the best. Thanks man.
Thanks birdog45! I appreciate your feedback and support! What part of your Amazon journey are you working on?
@@CrescentKao I'm still in the research phase? I'm currently selling a clothing brand online but will start selling in Amazon.
So I'll have 2 selling accounts.
That's great! Is it your private label clothing? You should be able to apply your knowledge of ecommerce to Amazon. Take your time with product research as its the most important part of the entire process. If you have any questions, let me know.
Yes sir. My own American brand made in India, lol. I'll reach out to on via FB if I need assistance.
Hey birdog45 are you from India
Amazing tips Brother!! thank you.
You're welcome!
Hey Crescent, Love the channel and you're so good at answering back quickly and clearly in the comments so... thank you for that. I'm working on my bullet points right now for a product I'm launching next week. According to seller central, my features (bullet points) have a limit of 100 characters. On my competitor's listings, many of them have features that are several hundred characters. Are my competitors just grandfathered in or does the 100 character limit indicate that Amazon will only index the first 100 characters (ie I can place as many characters as I want in the feature box but Amazon will not index anything beyond 100 characters). Thanks again for all you do for the community and for sharing your knowledge & experience.
Thanks for your input and feedback, I appreciate it! I'm happy to hear that you find value in the content. Yes, some may be due to being grandfathered in or they are in a different category that has different listing parameters. Have you tried entering more than 100 characters to see if its accepted?
A great video! Thanks Crescent.
You're welcome!
Very helpful! Thank you for detailed explanation.
Glad you found value in it!
Awesome! I’m getting ready to integrate Amazon FBA into my flipping besides just liquidation resell and I am so nervous to jump into this because it is a lot of time and money and nobody teaches these things without $3,000 courses so this is really awesome!

@@CrescentKao I appreciate it! Is there an amazon FBA resource I can ask related questions to for help as well?
Hi Crescent love your videos. I'm new with FBA so just seeing your videos. Since this video is a little old, have a question about product description in lisying. You mentioned that they are indexed but I've heard they are not lately at least. Love to hear from you on this. Thanks
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it! Yes, all copy in the listing is indexed. That's expressly why you need to have an optimized title, bullet points and description along with the backend keyword list.
Cool thanks for the upload.
this video shows you had a nice holiday.hahah ... Great video by the way.

Hey Crescent, awesome content once again. Only one on UA-cam I'll watch videos about Private Label.
I saw in the video when you were checking Categories your page view had the breakdown of the "categories tree" to get to the final specific subcategory. What program or extension do you have that shows the breakdown of all the subcategories and how it got to the last specific one?
Thanks for all your help and knowledge.
Hello! I'm glad you're continuing to find value in the content! What category tree are you referring to? If you scroll down on any product listing page, it will show you the main and sub categories the product is listed in. When you create a new product listing, you can enter the main keywords of the product and it will give you recommendations for the main and sub categories.
good job explaining....thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you for getting back to me. My question was.. "How to link a product to a UPC barcode, after buying from NationalWide?
You're welcome. When you create the product listing, you are forced to enter the UPC barcode.

Hi Crescent, this is the best channel I could find for beginners. Thanks! My question is if I send Amazon a box of my loose small items, will they group them in groups of 4, bag and label them, and send for a fee? This sounds like a simple question but I can't find a solid answer or explaination. Thanks.
Hello! You're welcome, I'm glad you find value in the content! All products must be prepackaged in ready to sell condition. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/ynVQ3pOL3lk/v-deo.html

Hey Crescent! Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise on the amazon fba with us all!
I have a question for you. Is it okay if I dont put my logo on my product now and just sell it with no logo? Or do I have to put my logo on the product or package?
I'm glad you find value in the content. I suggest always putting your brand on your products so you can build your own brand as well as prevent hijackers from taking over your listing.
Very helpful video
Glad you found value in it!
Great video Crescent, as always! Do you ever do product listings using a flat file? Is there any benefit to using it if you're not doing variations or mass uploads? Like maybe more room for keyword stuffing etc? Thanks man!
Glad you found value in it! No, I don't use flat files. I haven't had a problem with indexing keywords just doing it the regular way.
Awesome!
Hey Cresent, Love your material! Keep up the great content. Two Questions, 1) Do you know for certain if Amazon is indexing the keywords listed in the bullet points and product description? Some sources say they do index while others said they don't. I'd hate to either double up on keywords in my backend search terms or list keywords in my description/bullet points and not be indexed for these keywords. Also, Amazon instructs FBA sellers to exclude the names of competing products. Do you know if they actually police for this policy? Thanks again!
Hello! I'm glad you find value in the content! Yes, all copy is indexed. The strength of the keywords get weighted depending on the location. For example. keywords found in the title are more heavily weighted than keywords in the bullets and description. Keywords found in the beginning of the title are weighted more than keywords found later in the title, etc etc. You can not use competitors brands in your listing. Yes, this is policed heavily. It's in the TOS.
OMG great video Crescent and sure will help me a lot when creating my first PL listing. Question.. how can I include a video describing the product? Do I have to have a brand registry with Amazon in order to? Love the bonus tip too. Thanks again for such amazing video
Hello, I'm glad you found this helpful. You don't need a registered brand to upload videos. In seller central > top left menu > Catalog > Upload and Manage Videos
@@CrescentKao thanks for replying. I always watch your videos and have learned a lot from them. 2 more question: what’s the benefit of registering a brand and how soon should I do it? Thanks again
Hey great videos and love the detail that you go into. With the 3D rendering, do you have more information on this?
You can find renderers on fiverr.com They'll most likely need the physical product sent to them so they can create the 3d rendering.
Reduce pain or Increase pleasure -- that's a very useful insight!
Glad you found value in it!
HI Crescent! Thank you so much for all the videos- you have helped me so much!
I have a question about the listing- under "Offer" tab there are "Your Price" & "Sale Price" . I understood that Your Price should be as high as you ever plan on charging for the item (& can never be gone over) & Sale Price should be what you will be charging currently (which you can change at any time). When I do this, my inventory page lists the higher "your Price" & uses that to determine the FBA fees. My inventory should be arriving today & go live in the next 2 weeks or so..... I just want to make sure I did this correctly before my item is in stock. Would you please clarify? Thanks again!
Hello Jen! I'm glad you found the videos helpful! Yes, you did this correctly. The FBA fee will always be based off what the unit actually sells for. The fee estimate is always based off the "Your Price" field.
Hi Crescent great video, thanks a lot..Do you have any video where you go through how to list "product variations" (f.eks two colours of the same product), thanks
Glad you found value in it. This video touches on that: ua-cam.com/video/8eNK0rjYxdk/v-deo.html
Thank you for your video, i noticed that there is a lot of boxes that you didn't fill in and explain, do you have a video that is step by step filling in the whole of the listing form
You’re welcome! I don’t. Those fields aren’t necessary.
Hello Crescent,
Just want to I love your channel and you are very helpful guy. I usually can spot the fake gurus and I can certainly tell anyone here that this guy provides too much valuable information and really seems to know his stuff so, no he seems to be the real deal and not a fake guru.
Also, I have a quick question about paid versions of keyword finder apps verse other apps that are free. What is the difference in using a free software like the one you showed us here vs a paid one like Jungle scout?
Cheers :)
Hello @Walter Trejo! Thank you for your input and feedback, I appreciate it! This video goes over the differences: ua-cam.com/video/4tZ3e1dh0rA/v-deo.html
CK, thank you, man. I’ve seen another video where the advice differed on the keyword section. Here you said there is no need to double up on keywords which have already been used in the prod description and the features. Is that certain? Anywhere we can find that amazon confirms they are equal weightings in a search? If true, I’m running low on keywords, as I tactfully used almost all relevant in my main product page already!
Correct, there no need to repeat keywords in the Search Terms field. Hover your mouse over the the question mark, it specifically says, no need to repeat.
Great channel Crescent 👌🏾 I’m just starting my first listing. Do I still need to purchase a UPC code even though the same product is on the market? Or can I use the ISIN and continue? In that case how do I obtain the SKU’s number? Thanks
I'm glad you find value in the content! If you're doing wholesale or arbitrage and the product already has a listing on Amazon, you're required to list it under the original listing. If you're doing private label, create your own listing.
Crescent. Great video bro. I got some questions. You mentioned we can create a listing and save it to revise it later on right? Is that true. My second question is how do I add photo in the product description section with the font at bottom of listing (not the image section)? I have seen most listings have that but you didn't mention about it.
Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it! Yes, you can edit the listing whenever you want, I wouldn't make that up. You must have Brand Registry to add videos and photos to the description: brandservices.amazon.com
You're a great sir. At this point I'm confuse about the barcode that I will get from Gs1 or barcode mania, do I have to send that barcode to manufacture or not?
Thank you, I'm glad you found value in the content! This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/o0ZoSR4vRkU/v-deo.html
thank you so much!!!
You're welcome!
For the Product Listing: All you need to fill out is the areas you highlighted? Because there are a lot more areas that you could fill in. Thanks, I have been learning a lot from you.
Yes, those are the important fields. It doesn’t hurt to fill out more but they’re not necessary.
Very helpful and great info Crescent but i don't know wish the best software to use between jungle scout or Amzscout appreciate that if you give us some advice before i purchase it, thank's Crescent
I use both but if you can only afford one, I recommend the JS suite.
Hi Crescent,
Thanks for the helpful content, I’m trying to add a new product but it is asking me for a PPU count and I am unsure what this is, your help would be greatly appreciated
Hello! You're welcome! It's asking how much you want to charge per unit (Price Per Unit).
Thank you for the amazing video Crescent.. You need to have a listing before getting the FNSKU code, am I right on saying that ? and if so, then can I edit my listings after I get the FNSKU barcode?
You're welcome Ashley Dias. Yes, you need to create a listing in order to get the FNSKU. And yes, you can edit your listing whenever you want, it's your product and your listing.
Crescent Kao thank you
Crescent, as always thank you for your information and dedication to the 'newbie' FBA seller world.
As one of the above, I'm ready to create my first listing, prior to product mfg, to rule out any seller restrictions on my product.
However, it appears that Amzn does not promote this with their warnings, in Seller Central on the 'add new product' area, about not having/using the right codes, that also must cross-reference with some other data bank they check your product ID against. Can one ignore that and create an early listing anyway?
You're welcome, I'm glad you find value in the content. You need to buy a valid UPC barcode for your products. This video goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/DQRJRSNYMgA/v-deo.html
Thanks Crescent it is really helpful, Do I have to put my store name on the product or the label sticker that have amazon bar code will be enough??????
I'm glad you found value in the content. You can put whatever you want on the packaging and label as long as the FNSKU and country of origin in on each unit.
I am asking you because I am trying to create a new list for my product but the system does not allow me, It says you need authorization even though the product just an office tool
Hi Crescent - How far in advance to your product launch do you usually create your listing? would you create it once you need to generate the FNSKU for your supplier to put on the product or before that for a different reason? and are there any downsides to creating it earlier as long as you dont publish it? thx
Hello. I would create the listing as soon as possible before placing your order with your supplier to make sure there isn't any issues with selling the product. I suggest watching this video, it goes over everything step by step: ua-cam.com/video/fLdPcTVkQz8/v-deo.html
Nice video! I want to ask a question:
If we change our listing from time to time will it affect our ranking?
If our ranking gets affected by changing our listing but after some time we feel that there are new keywords for which our listing can be indexed then where should we put those keywords?
I'm glad you found value in the video! No, listing rank is based primarily on the daily sales velocity. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/LFqJ3xF-Eng/v-deo.html
Hey Cresent
Great stuff, very informative for beginners as I am one
I added a product just recently, went through all of the pages but it’s not complete, but when I go to see my listing it says page cannot be found. I was able to save and finish and the product is in my seller account (inactive). Do you know why that can be
Hello, I'm glad you found value in the content. If you're trying to view the listing from an Amazon account that isn't your seller account, it's not going to display because the listing isn't active to the public. You need to have inventory to have an active listing.
Hi Crescent, I am really getting huge benefits from your tutorial as a beginner. Thanks a lot. Now I have a question to you. My category has been locked soon I finished listing my item, How can I add other colours/variations. Am I able to do it from my existing listing, if it is, how can I do it ? If not, what should I do? Thanks
Hello! You're welcome! I'm glad you're finding value in the content! If you didn't create the listing with variations initially, you'll have to use the inventory file upload template: sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/G201576430?language=en_US
Contact Seller Support if you're have trouble filling it out, the agent will help you.
Thanks for reply. I have checked the links, unfortunately it did not work for me as I am individual seller. Reason for that I am in very beginning stage and avoid the fees. Kindly let me know if you have another methods to do it. Thanks again for your support.
Hi Crescent Great demonstration!! Got a question, I am about to order my first product from Alibaba. I learnt that I have to create a listing first then create a shipping plan and order the product and ship them over to FBA WareHouse. Please correct me if I am wrong. Now if I create a listing will my customer can already order the product when my product is not yet shipped over to amazon. Or after listing my product I have a choice not to go live or publish. Thanks in advance
Hello! I’m glad you found value in the content. Yes, you need to create a listing first in order to create a shipping plan. Listings don’t go live until you have inventory in stock. This goes over everything step by step: ua-cam.com/video/fLdPcTVkQz8/v-deo.html
This goes over how to create a shipping plan: ua-cam.com/video/iQMKhWhSYPs/v-deo.html
Thank you! I created my first product listing after watching this video. Greatly appreciate what you have been doing. Would you be able to make a video on how to make child listings into one variation listing? I tried to create a parent listing and then added the child listings' ASINs under the parent listing but the child listings were copied and I now have duplicate listings with the same FNSKU and ASINs. The products are en route to the fulfillment center and I'm so scared to click on anything and mess up the shipment.
You're welcome! This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/8eNK0rjYxdk/v-deo.html
Also, take note that each unit needs to have the FNSKU barcode on it and you should do that on your own before shipping them to Amazon, otherwise Amazon will charge you $0.30/unit to do it for you. You can't get the FNSKU without completing the listing for each variation first. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/tdJqj7tEjdM/v-deo.html
The only one thing I could say about using rendering photos is that is true what you say about a rendering photo looking better than the actual product. I am afraid of disappointing a customer and creating a bad review. I can place a rendering photo for now and when I get the real pictures of my product replace the rendering photo. What do you think? Thanks again for all the wealth of information you offer on every video.
If your products quality is that far off from what a 3D rendering would look like, then I'd be concerned about the quality of your product in the first place.
Awesome.
Glad you found value in the video!
Thanks for good Video Crescent, can You recommend : what kind of camera and what function on camera, We should use to take a good picture and meet Amazon require? By the way thank You verymuch for all Your video , so helpful to me.
Hello Hiep Nguyen, you're welcome and thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. Any modern cell phone camera will work just fine. Just make sure you have very good lighting. Lighting is the most important part of taking a good quality photo. You don't need any special functions.
thank You verymuch Crescent,
Hello Crescent, wonderful honest job thay you are doing so thank you so much.
I have my first product under preparation and i am.planning to create my first listing and i have few questions if u can help.plz.
1: it is said that do not create new listing if the product is already listed. I guess definately any product is listed on amazon there is no product missing.so what to do?
2: what if my own searched keywords and own verbage listing matches someone else. Is there still a problem?
3: need to reconfirm if toys like board games are restricted by amazon. I haven't seen them restricted but still confirming from expert.
4: how can i confirm if my photos on products and product photos itself are not conflicted with someone else.
Sorry for 4 questions but i hope u will support. Once again. Thank you for an awesome job.keep it up👍👍
Hello! You're welcome and I'm glad you're finding value in the videos.
1) If you're doing private label, then you will be creating your own listing.
2) Don't copy anyone else's listing word for word. Always write your own copy.
3) This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/cAFLegUlydo/v-deo.html
4) Always take your own professional photos: ua-cam.com/video/BvMDwEEML5s/v-deo.html
Great video! I tried entering my first listing but didnt do well😫..which upc code do I enter if I have multiple variations?? And can I enter my brand name if I'm not brand registered? Many thanks!

On the Vital Info tab, what should we put in for the Unit Count field? Lets say we are selling a pack of 10 pens. Would we put Unit Count 1, or Unit Count 10?
Leave it blank.
Hello thank you for excellent tutorial videos, my questions is my roommate has a amazon seller account on our address, I am thinking to open seller account as well is it ok to have 2 amazon accounts on same address but different sellers and different companies ?
Hello. That's fine as long as both seller accounts are registered to different entities.
Hi Crescent,
Thanks for wonder videos you release every time, is been very helpful as new amazon seller, I watch it every time.
I have a little problem about listing of my first fba product.
I'm new amazon seller and I'm in the process of list my first product.
On my amazon seller's account, after adding product UPC code discovered that Product description section was missing e.g (Vital Info - Variations - offer - Images -xxx Missing) product description was missing ,please what do you suggest i do? thanks
Hello, you're welcome! You need to fill in those fields. You can't save the listing until all the required fields are complete. If you don't know the info then just put temporary details in there for now.
@@CrescentKao thanks
Enjoy your videos, working on this journey... Product pics that my photographer friend takes you suggesting to send and get 3 D be better... What do you call the bottom part of listing with pictures and wright ups etc... That what you mean ? Is that part of product description from photographers! Thanks in advance making it clear for me if able...Cause my sunglasses come in 4 colours, so need different pics in top left boxes... confused 🙏
Glad to hear you're finding the content helpful. The lower part of the listing is the description. You can't put photos in the description or use HTML formatting unless you have a registered trademark and apply for Brand Registry: ua-cam.com/video/2VBGR2JpZ1A/v-deo.html
This video is great! But how do you list on amazon WITHOUT a trademark/brand registry? I keep getting an error code 5665. Specifically what to put in the "vital info" settings to begin selling without a trademark.
Put NA in the Manufacturer field.
Hello Crescent,
I was wondering since I do have 3 variations on my listing. Will I have to rewrite all my keywords on all my listings or what I do to my parent listing will also change the child listing? Thank you again for all this great content. I am on a roll commenting on every video it seems like haha
You're welcome and thank you for your continued support, I appreciate it! You can use different keywords for each variation which is what you should be doing anyways so they each index and rank accordingly.
@@CrescentKao thank you, I appreciate it.
You're welcome.
To clarify the steps in product research and posting my first item listing is

Purchase from manufacture in bulk?
Then list
Or is there a way we can bypass physical inventory?
No. This isn't drop shipping. You need to have your products manufactured with your private label, ready to ship immediately and fulfilled by Amazon. I suggest watching this video: ua-cam.com/video/fLdPcTVkQz8/v-deo.html
Dear Crescent, if we have two colours of the same product (2 UPC), how can we register this in the listing??Thank You very much for your help in advance
This video goes over bundling: ua-cam.com/video/8eNK0rjYxdk/v-deo.html
Hi, so you recommend listing the product before it’s actually in stock at the FBA centre?
You can create a listing but it won’t go live in the marketplace until you have inventory.
Video suggestion! Fiverr Walkthrough / How to use Fiverr. In depth details on what to click. Process. Etc. I would love this because I’m still in the process of my start up. No listings on amazon yet. I believe I have a product though so I’m working on it!
Fiverr is extremely easy to navigate and use. Search for what you want, find a freelancer that has the offer you'd like and contact them.
Crescent Kao awesome
Hi Crescent ! I've been watching your videos thanks ! I have a big question hopefully you can help me , I have my product made , is still in China , it will be inspected and then shipped , however the freight forwarder is asking me for the warehouse address, units are ready to ship, however I dont have my listing active yet because the photographer is working on the pictures and they will take one more week , in the video you mentioned that we could use our own photos in the meantime , can I use some photos that my manufacturer has sent me even thou they don't have a white background ? they're poor quality, after I received my real actual pictures will change it, or how can I get to have the warehouse address ?
Thanks
Hello Bountiful! You're welcome, I'm glad you found value in the videos. Yes, you can use temporary photos until you get the actual ones ready. It doesn't matter what temporary photos you use, just don't steal a competitor's photos or copyrighted photos. You need to complete a shipping plan to get the addresses. This video goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/meB4xYEI8Z0/v-deo.html
Great content sir.
You're welcome! Thank you for your feedback and support, I appreciate it!
Crescent Kao May I PM you? I had a few questions about launching a first product and need good advice/better perspective.
Absolutely, you can PM me through my forums or on Facebook. Links are in the video description.
Hi Crescent, thanks for your useful videos. I have a question
@11:58. Grill names that you've mentioned include Kenmore, Brinkmann, Weber, and Green Egg.
How are these brands different from Velcro and Lego that we can put them in our description?
As far as I've learned from your other video, Velcro and Lego are prohibited from being included in our listing. Thank you!
They're not any different. They're all trademarked brands. You can't use them in your listing.
@@CrescentKao I see. Thanks so much!
@@CrescentKao can you use them in your keywords, but not your listing?
Jen Ann no it’s against the terms of service.
Hey Crescent - Product is being manufactured but currently stuck. Will UPC and amazon barcode(looks like ASIN) work the same for when labeling each product before packing/shipping? Do i send them UPC barcode or amazon barcode? Then i will just need to send shipping label to manufacture after i get box dimensions when packed. thats when it will give me address off fulfillment center?
Hello Steven. Only the FNSKU is required to go on each unit, not the UPC. This video might help: ua-cam.com/video/ixfQ5wK4clI/v-deo.html
Hi crescent, I was wondering do you know how I can add Amazon prime to my listing ?
In order to offer Prime shipping, you need to do FBA: ua-cam.com/video/jK05lTLZ3No/v-deo.html
Do I have the opportunity to modify my listing later, during the selling period maybe?
You can edit the listing anytime you want.

Hello crescent, at the moment I only have Amz scout pro extension but do not have the amz web app. I'm debating if I should get the Jungle scout extension & it's web app so I can use their keyword scout. So my question is will I get much better results using JS's "keyword scout" or amz scout's "keywords explorer" or are they just about the same? Thank you in advance.
I only use Keyword Scout. It's superior to any other keyword tool that I've used. If you already have the AMZ chrome extension the you don't need to get the JS chrome extension, just get the JS web app, it comes with Keyword Scout.

Awesome! I thought in order to get the web app I also had to get the their extension. I might still get their extension, I'll have to think about it. Thank you very much.
You're welcome. If you want to get both, use this coupon: bit.ly/2U5iUG4
Say for example I have 2 variations of a product, is it better to have two different titles with different keywords?
You'll have to split test and see what works best.
Hi, Crescent! Help! I am creating my listing and it wants a manufacturer part number? What is this and where do I find it? Thanks!!!!
Hello. Just make it up, its for your own reference and book keeping.
do you have an alternative for your HTML tool? Seems like your link is broken
when pasting all your keywords in the Search Term, do you need to separate each word with commas?
Hello Common_ Sole. No, it is not necessary to put commas or semi-colons. Just separate them with spaces.
very great and helpful information. Do you mentor?

Do you have an example of a 3D rendered product that could be used in our Amazon listing?
If you google "3d rendering products", you can find examples of them.
Hello Crescent,
I am contacting manufacturers at the moment, but have not yet done my listing should I do that first or contact suppliers first?
Hello. I would create the listing before you commit to a product to make sure you can even sell it on amazon. This goes over everything step by step: ua-cam.com/video/fLdPcTVkQz8/v-deo.html
@@CrescentKao Thank you so much, appreciate your time.
You’re welcome!
Hi Crescent, what if you have a private label product that you're going to put on Amazon but it does not exist yet. There may be slightly similar products on Amazon. Do you just make up the keywords that are most relevant for your product? And also how do you get eyes on that product?
Hello. Always use the shortest and most relevant keyword phrase that describes whatever it is.
