Hello sir.. your video was one that inspired me to buy this great machine...... I watched dozens of video reviews. I'm a first time welder. running a homestead... Always had a lot of tools, but never got into welding.... I'm as old as you are probably older. lol. but I'm very confident I got the right welder. amazing price of 292 dollars, and I'll save that much the first year, maybe triple that much on my rural property it's going to last a long time. I may not use it every day, but when I do, it will pay. I love the color / design. so easy to use. I am impressed with the quality, and clear controls, display I can grow into its full capacity as I learn. I'll do flux core first, then stick welding. I may never try Tig. but I will try aluminum, perhaps with a spool gun.
Got this one coming and looking forward to messing with it. More mig and tig for my fishing projects. Almost got the plasma cutter to go with it but went a different brand. Thanks for the video 🤙🏻
I only bought myself a Michigan, multi processor, welder, about two year's ago the sync settings are pretty good, definitely changed my spogy shit, 😅🤣 still can't weld properly though 😅🤣 all the best to you and your loved ones
@@rpmchuck-nitrouschronicles I'm not sure why I struggle to see but it's only 6 months ago I had to have a catteract taken out of my right eye, my welding has improved a bit, 😅🤣 but still can't get a waterproof joint 😡🤬 but anyway all the best
@Dyl_Cam correct. The TIG function is DC only. MIG for aluminum is more functional than cosmetic. Your not going to get the shiney smooth joints like you can with TIG but it still works and functions fine.
I have the 200A model and use that for stick quite often. Honestly that machine is the best stick welder I've ever had! The hot start feature makes it "almost" impossible to stick a rod to the work piece. It will weld both 6010 and 7018 rods although I tend to use 6011's mostly on Electrode positive.
Probably not enough to mater, but you don't want any steel wire transfer / contamination on the aluminum wire. Just like how you save a wire brush and flap wheel just for aluminum so you don't get any cross contamination into the aluminum. Aluminum is not forgiving at all like steel. You have to keep it super clean.
I read that this 250 machine has the fully manual adjustment for amps and wire speed and the automatic/syn setting. And from what ive read, the 200 only has the automatic/syn mode with the fine tune + or - 5 amps. Is this true?
Thanks for the video! I’m learning and have a question. I bought this machine and it came with a wire drive roller for .030 and .035 wire. I have a brand new roll of .023. Can I use it? I don’t want to screw up a brand new machine.
Yes. It does fine with carbon steel. You just run the regular torch liner and drive rolls. I'm sure it is good with stainless too but haven't tried it.
@sweetwilliam49 Definitely is if you want to do some aluminum. Probably not if you are just welding steel. The extra 50 amps really isn't a big deal for anything but super thick steel but is pretty important on aluminum. It needs a bit more power for the same material thickness over steel.

Good deal! Do yourself a favor and get some MIG gas and solid wire. It's much easier and cleaner.
Got this one coming and looking forward to messing with it.

Thanks for watching. What plasma did you go with?
Just based off of you throwing the bag over your head and continuing the review, youve earned a subscriber lol. That shit had me in stitches.
Thanks brother. Have a good one.
Thanks for all 3 videos on this welder Chuck.
Thanks for watching!
"Tool lion." Toolion.
Not "tool-eon"
Toolion..... Raaaawrrrr....... ferocious
I realize....... I'm the tool🤣
What is the difference between a 250M and a 250A?
Amazon has this TL-250 now for $349 and a $40 off coupon. So $309 and change. I'm real tempted.😮
@dalee.mccombs8571 That's a weeks worth of groceries in this economy.
I only bought myself a Michigan, multi processor, welder, about two year's ago the sync settings are pretty good, definitely changed my spogy shit, 😅🤣 still can't weld properly though 😅🤣 all the best to you and your loved ones
90% is just getting the settings right. The other 10% is being able to see what you are doing. That's the part I struggle with.

So as I understand it, you can't tig weld aluminum with these because it's not AC? You can only MIG weld and it's not nearly as good?

I just bought me one LT-CT5200 tooliom. Didn’t burn 7018 1/8. Plugged to 110 🤷🏼♂️.
I think that trigger is set up for 2/4T operation
How does it do on stick welding? I was thinking about getting one. Just wondering how it did with that application?
I've never tried it. I only do automotive stuff.

can you run steel wire through the graphine or will that shorten its life?

Yes, that's right. At first, I was gun shy of the auto settings, but now I am a fan.
I love my tooliom

I'd look for a drive roll and contact tip for the .023 and send it. Probably need to lower the settings a touch.
My trigger was sticking also
Can this welder weld regular metals along with aluminum?? Thanks
Yes. It does fine with carbon steel. You just run the regular torch liner and drive rolls. I'm sure it is good with stainless too but haven't tried it.
@@rpmchuck-nitrouschronicles thanks bezel looking at the Cheaper model but it’s worth the extra 70 bucks or so to get this one

Does anyone know what the warranty is for these ?
1 year according to the Tooliom website.
