I’m black and I use tanner and watched this hoping it would be a tan that would make my skin darker to hide scars and other skin flaws. Tanning for dark skin is a great way to get that even skin all over glow in the winter months.

Yeah I use this same tan brand in the regular Dark colour and I always leave it on overnight. It works great if you give it the time it needs to develop.

I am Asian, and my skin is tan, but here in Asia everyone wants to be white. I even edited my image to make it look whiter. I use a lot of skin whitening products. Because white skin is the standard of Asian beauty, I live in a tropical country, Indonesia 🇮🇩, and people come to my country, like Bali to sunbathe because they want to have tan skin, we feel very strange because we want to be white. People see we have beautiful, exotic, sexy skin, perfect tan, but people here don't like their skin color. Even afraid to face the sun, tourists often confuse why we wear hoodies or sweaters even though the weather is very hot, because we are afraid that our skin will become tan, I think, All girls are beautiful as they are, Wtf with beauty standards. ❤️♥️
Pradita lee so true, it seems as though we always want what we don’t have. I am one of the palest people ever and I have done so much damage to my skin when I was younger due to indoor tanning beds. Now I resort to using sunless tanner during summer months when I wear shorts and short sleeves but I can relate. It’s as if it’s in our nature to always want something different or more. It’s crazy really. You are very beautiful, and try to always remember there are some of us who would love to have your skin color. 💕

That's really fascinating...I'm extremely pale and I can't tan at all, and I was bullied through my whole life because of that. I would give everything to have tanned skin since having pale skin only brought me misery and destroyed my self esteem. I hate summertime because of how bullied I was for my pale skin. I really envy people like you.

Serious question. Why do people with NATURALLY tan/dark skin get judged based off of their skin color but when pale people decide they want to tan people see it as a form of beauty? I don’t really understand how that works.

I ask the same thing all the time. I remember getting bullied for being dark but people tan and it suddenly makes them a "bronze goddess"
아지 People want what they can't have apparently. If anything, the ppl who judge based off skin color are just projecting their inner insecurities.
I do think that some people naturally tan more than others using tanning products (which you mention). As a beautician I’ve had an odd few that EVERY tanning product just turns orange on. I prefer a violet based tan than a green myself. Because you’ve used so many other brands I think it’s a fair review comparatively.

She's allowed to tan, her comment about the product not looking good on others wasn't disparaging black people-- it was about how the finished product didn't suit others using it. Girl, I literally use St. moriz every week! Don’t know what you guys are doing wrong but I always end up with a BEAUTIFUL tan. I always leave it overnight and it works every time!

chloe 121 if you want to be dark do NOT wash it off it does not say on the bottle to wash it off , for it to be darker than dark you have to apply a few layers , common sense people

Those girls have legit put like 10 layers on...it's rank. Loads of people here in the UK do it and it looks awful on nights out. I don't think it's a bad colour...pretty standard for St Moriz xx

I use a big fluffy buffing brush to apply tan to my hands. Does a great job. Xx

Katherine Adams To be honest, I was neither saying she doesn't look good with makeup on nor she puts too much makeup on. It would be a bit hypocritical of me as I love full glam makeup looks.
Tanning tip: when tanning hands,feet/ankles and face use a old kabuki brush. Pump some tanner on to the brush and then use it as u would as a mitt. The best thing ever and u won’t have streaky/ blotchy tanner.
Hi girl! When tanning your hands and face I recommend using a foundation brush because it will apply the tanner much more evenly & lightly. Also I’m not sure how you rinse in the shower but be sure to just rinse with water at first & no soap until your next shower! I usually leave my tans on over night regardless of the time it says on the bottle because it gets the most of the product! My two favorites are St Tropez Ultra Dark & Loving Tan 2 Hour Express in Dark. I hope this helps✨

ALSO! apply a thicker lotion to your knees and knuckles (the little deep lines where our fingers bend) and to apply with a foundation brush on face, and hands and feet around toes as well! And I also leave my tans on overnight , 1. because i do them towards the end of the day and I'm exhausted by the end off the entire process, exfoliation, shower, lotion, applying the tan. Hi Crystal :). I'm from the UK and although I haven't used St Moriz, I think any tanning lotion that gives you an instant tan will come off in the shower. As you know, most self-tans don't give you instant results but develop over time. I can't stand the smell of those fake tans so I always use the Rimmel Sunshimmer in medium matt, which is a wash-off one but will last all day and night. If you like wash-off tans, I do recommend this one because it goes on lovely, gives you an instant natural tan and smells gorgeous. I am fair skinned too and I find this one makes me look like I've been on holiday.
Yeah I’ve come to the conclusion that the express 1 hour tans do not work for me! 😅

Joy SImpson ~ So true, I've used the Australian Gold sunless tanner spray (with instant bronzer) and it has a more golden bronze color. Just make sure to protect your floor and surroundings as you apply, and do NOT shower or swim for at least 12+ hours ✌

Hi Crystal. I'm porcelain pale and I use St. Moriz Ultra dark. I let the tan stay on over night, and wash it away the next day. I found out the tan doesn't fate away after the shower that way.
Honestly? Does it stay that dark after your shower or does it lighten up? I want something that gets very dark. Products never get super dark on me like other people for some reason.
@momma2thewilds I know its way more expensive but I use St. Tropez (white bottle) and it actually sticks. I get SUPER blotchy with anything else.

Just a tip when tanning your hands, don’t claw your fingers!!! Keep your fingers straight while tanning them and then you won’t get the dark knuckles... trust me

Great tip! Also apply Good amount of lotion around wrist and hands, feet, ankles! It makes it look so natural! It just blends so evenly in those area! I see so many you tubers with really bad patchy orange/brown hands, knuckles, wrist😖
I heard that you should claw your fingers to get best results..
I claw my hands but i also use a small amount of lotion on my whole hands AFTER i apply the tan, then take a towel and lightly wipe off my palms and in between fingers. Then i rub my hands together a final time to redistribute everything evenly. Works everytime!

The hands is that not because u mixed it with the tan. I thought u moisturize at least a hour before not mix it with creams then apply x i havent tried this tan think i will as i only ise st moriz or whatever it is but im on the hunt for a proper true brown golden dark tan. St.Moritz works a treat. Normally leave it on all night and it gets very dark. Also tried Bondi Sands last week and it didn't work as well as St. Moritz so I am wondering if the water quality can affect the tan.
I'm 22 and I have been tanning in sun beds since I was 18. I found out I had skin cancer when I was 21. They had to cut it out of my back. It is slowly growing back in the same place. This is so young to have.

I also had a skin cancer (from tanning bed) on my nose removed, even worse when it came back. Worst pain ever. It was like I was shot in the face. I would rather be pale or splotchy from self tanners.

Can I just give u a tip as im a spray tanner myself .If u shower and apply tan immediately after it can't take as it shud . Id advise u to apply tans at least 2 or 3 hours after u shower . Thanks for your trial as was wondering about this tan .

Layers of it! I know girls who use this tan and plaster it on. My sister and her friend did it before a weekend away, they wanted to be that cool-toned deep dark colour so did multiple layers (🙄😅) The base colour is so misleading. The reality was, they looked dirty and muddy with the base and orange once washed. Not olive at all. They would of done better to make this base colour into a wash-off ‘makeup’ tan.
My favourite dark tans I’ve used are by skinny tan and loving tan.

Thank you I appreciate your feed back on this product, I have looked at this product a few times & wondered if it was worth it for the money. I use fake tans because I have ME/CFS, fibromyalgia & Lupus so going out in the sun is NOT an option unless I want to get sicker than what I already am, I usually on put a fake tan on my legs if I want to wear dress/skirt for a special function.
same thing happened to me with the st moriz spray tan. instantly it was insanely dark and bronze but as soon as i showered it was gone. also if i let it sit for a day i went green

Does your body wash you are using in the shower have moisturizers in it? That will prevent the tan from absorbing correctly.
Are you supposed to shower immediately after using the product? I’ve used several brands and they all say to wait 24 hours before showering or swimming.
I’m a red head with very pale skin & freckles & I used this tan over the weekend (I live in the uk) and it’s provided me with a lovely dark natural looking tan I’m really impressed but I guess not everything works the same on all of us xx

I have had fakes through eBay and it drives me crazy because you never know! Always read the reviews to see if anyone else complains about their products not working. But I'd say it was a fake product.

I found out I can NOT tan immediately after exfoliating. I have to shave & exfoliate then self tan the following day or 2 days after. If I apply the tanner immediately after exfoliating then it does nothing at all.
I just ordered the bondi sands foam in dark and was wondering if I should put that on my face as well or use a different product to pair it with. Thoughts?

I use darker than dark as a little top up on my medium tans(I use Bondi Sands), so like as an extra bit of bronzer as it usually washes of quickly so it doesn’t really matter and then I have my Bondi sands left over, it works great and helps balance out that strong green tone xx
I use an old kabuki brush to lightly buff tanning foam onto my hands, feet and face. It helps blend those harsh lines. It also allows me to do a bit of contour on my face with the tanner. I’ve never used this particular product but I’ve always had success with this method.
I've professional airbrushed tan since 2005 and I know some tips that may help. Did you realize if you hop in the shower and use body wash/shampoo the detergents neutralizes the active DHA therefore the tan will not keep developing after rinsing. Rinse off with water only preferably not too hot, so the DHA in the tanner stays active on body just minus the concentrated DHA top coat. Now if you don't want the tan to develop anymore then use body wash to neutralize the DHA amd you wont go darker. Also after rinsing it off dont apply body lotion because in my experience it also affects the tan from getting as dark as it could. Also maybe those girls never washed and slept in it. I think it's a scam though but I've slept in turbo tans forgetting to rinse off the concentrated DHA and color guard and due to not rinsing off with water I got too dark just from keeping that layer on.. not saying you did anything just some trouble shooting ideas.

It’s seems like a high maintenance thing. because it start looks bad (from what I see from others on UA-cam) when it’s fades.

It’s the same reason people dye their hair and wear makeup. It’s just another way to enhance your look. For some girls it’s worth the maintenance. Plus it’s better than tanning in the sun. I heard a quote years ago from an elderly lady that still liked to tan. “Fat looks better tan” and she is so right. A good tan can also hide a lot of skin imperfections like acne and even cellulite. So just like makeup it can be a great confidence booster.
For me, I’m very pale with dry skin, and it tends to look dull. I never do dark tans, but with just a little bit of bronze I feel I look more glowy 🙂
0389BA I tan because it makes me look slimmer, it hides my stretchmarks more, it hides my veins on my arms, it makes me look glowy and healthy and gives me confidence! I’m as white as paper by the way.
In my opinion we like to tan to hide insecurities on our body such as stretch marks and discoloration (I have severe rashes that cover my cheeks but when I tan it fades a bit) also when we are very pale I've had because think I am very sick.

Omg why would you mix moisturiser and tan together 🤦🏼♀️ if anything you should apply moisturiser then let it dry then apply tan. But shouldn’t of moisturised them at all.

A lot of people mix the moisturizer with the tan just for face and hands to prevent it from causing breakouts or clogging pores (on the face) and you’re supposed to moisturize your hands to prevent creasing around knuckles and finger tips/ cuticles as tan tends to collect around dry areas. Personally I don’t tan my face because I don’t want to risk breaking out. I just get have a tan foundation that matches and a pale foundation for my normal skin tone. :)

St Moriz was the first self tanner I used and it worked well the first time but all the other times it all just washed off after I showered (I left it on over night). I am not impressed by them.

Kanoriyyaaa that's great! people should be happy with what the lord gave them. I love being pale and wouldn't tint my skin with chemicals to achieve a fashion look- and i don't think woc should ever use bleach to try and change themselves either. I just don't like seeing all the negativity in the comments, i'm proud of the skin im in.

Would these products take care of raccoon eye's from indoor tanning? I am Mediterranean and tan easily but I dont want a drastic difference in darkness and color. Please advise.
I use st.moriz tan and it works really well but I use just dark and I don't use moisturiser, I also put it on at night and leave it over night then shower in the morning

Nope, the one I use even says on the bottle it will continue to develop. So i always wash it off early because I know I'll be darker the next day
You are legit my go to for tanning advice. Tanner, like yourself, never seems to develop as dark on me as it does on others. Can we get a super industrial strength tanner? Lol!

I highly doubt it because the girl posted it on Facebook and it just went viral I saw her normal posts and she got anywhere from 4-30 likes on her usual statuses so hardly someone you would pick to get your brand attention. she's just your average girl who had a massive fuck up and people kept sharing liking and tagging friends in the post

not really. I used it and OMG, left me with a beautiful tan!! You can see on my insta the last pictures, I used it once and it gave me a great tone, even tough I am so f*** pale check in martgonzalez. And for the price, is a great option I believe
The girl is in a Facebook group im in and hates the publicity she got for this. She never gave consent for her pictures and story to be used in this or any video.

i wish i can know how to get a real tan without burning.. i spent 7 hours for 2 weeks straight in the sun and still just can’t ever get tan at all. i’m extremely fair skinned, red and purple legs and arms and i also have KP skin conditions which discolors my arms :(

Lauren Turner They stick to me when I use the cheaper ones not the expensive ones. Usually the ones with the guard doesn't work gor me. I like tha Loreal sublime bronze self tanning MILK.
