    Real nice. I just started looking for a plastic shed about four days ago and noticed this on Home Depot's website. I initially planned and sketched up a wooden shed that would have been 8'x7'. But after calculating the price of wood and the amount of time to build it, then comparing that cost to the price and time to build one of these. the little extra money to get one of these seems better for my time. I like how you demonstrated the necessary stuff. Even though you lost some of the video, I think what you demonstrated was good. I have some things I will definitely mod to possibly to make the sides more stable. Overall you did an excellent job. And thank you for not blaring the music, I think that alone was worth subscribing.

    Built one over the weekend jeez it was difficult had a lot of issues with the panels not fitting together properly so had to adapt it in a few places (cutting bits off drilling new holes etc) but it’s up now and it’s sturdy and leak free so I’m pretty happy with it

      @@BoredGuyWithACamera yeah it was strange, did some research to see if anyone else had the same issues as me but it doesn’t look like it, biggest issue was with the apex at the back we had to cut about half a inch off the top just to get the roof panel on but it’s alright now

    We just built this and had issues with roof panels at back not lining up to back wall apex, removed the whole roof thinking the trusses weren't aligned and re-did it with same result. Had to use a drill bit to make custom holes for final 2 roof panels and skylight center piece to fit on back. Pain in the butt, should've just paid the store the install fee lol

    I've been doing research on sheds and many sources say that for medium-sized sheds like these a gravel pad is the best for the foundation. My question is if the shed can rest directly on top of the gravel or if I still need a wooden foundation with runners to put the shed on.

    • @BoredGuyWithACamera
      @BoredGuyWithACamera  3 роки тому +1

      I'm sure you could place this shed on gravel but its going to have to be perfectly level and tampered down extremely well. I don't see a reason of why it would not work. I hope that helps you out a little. Thank you for stopping by and checking out the video.

      I'm using cinder patio stones just under the foundation walls and rows down the middle with gravel in between. Much cheaper this way than a concrete slab or pressure treated platform. Just have to make sure the patio stones are level to each other.

    Hi, I have this shed in the middle of building it. I got the foundation done and everything set up to attach and screw. I’m at the corner wall and wall panels, I’m having the hardest time with the corners, the part where you push in the tabs just won’t push through, I tried the wood trick underneath as well it’s difficult. I even sprayed WD40 on one to try, any tips as a single mom having a hard time building this thing that you would recommend for the wall to make it easier? Also it’s hard to grab the top and push on it because of the groove on top it I think with gloves it should be better? I need to get this done asap, appreciate it thanks

    One question. Do the roof panels slide up in a channel, or do they sit on top. If they slide,can they be slid in from the top down? We are putting this together up against a fence with no clearance on that side. I'd appreciate your input. Thank you

    • @BoredGuyWithACamera
      @BoredGuyWithACamera  Рік тому

      Sorry for the late response, they sit in a channel side by side. On the side with no room and would do that first from the inside on a ladder. It should be pretty easy that way.

      So I haven't had any issues with this shed since we purchased it. There is a small gap at the bottom of the door's that let very little rain in when it's a really heavy down pour. I could have added a small lip to it and stopped it but it's not enough to be concerned about. As far as insects I have not had any issues, I use home barrier spray around the outside and inside every time I mow the lawn so I'm pretty sure that is why nothing has been found inside of it.
