We lived in Vietnam for a full year. We moved without having ever been in Asia previously...sooo, quite the culture shock, as you'd imagine. 😂 One of the best years of our lives, for sure. Vietnam..and our old home of Hanoi, in particular, will always hold a special place on our hearts. ❤🇻🇳
Thanks for sharing as always :) What a paradox of a country - hustle and bustle yet so peaceful and nice to look at on the lake and bay - stay safe and ty again :)
I absolutely love my “Forget work, drink coffee!” postcard. Thank you for the great video and for the souvenir from Vietnam! I love supporting you both through Patreon! ❤
Hi Guys... been a while since I've watched your videos.. Vietnam... I was stationed at DaNang in 1971 as a carpenter with the USAF... it is so nice to see Vietnam at peace... that an entire generation does not know the horror of war... thanks for the tour...be safe in your travels... sending Love and Peace!

I came across your channel about 4 months ago and I’m hooked.I eagerly await for your new videos I have learned so much about all the different countries you visit. I am now working my way through the first ones you did. Have a happy Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. 💐🏴🇬🇧 Those coffees look delicious.
Wow,,wow! Were you all holding your breath when the train came through? I was for you! Exceptional beautiful scenery there! Thanks for your time and great video. Merry Christmas Matt & Julia & Sister 🎄
Thank you so much for taking us to Vietnam with this video! I discovered that sort of snake wine when I travelled to North Korea in the late 1980s. @Julia: Your dress at the beginning of the video reminds me of Starbucks 😊😊
Just WOW what a stunning scenery! Also your vlogs are like professional documentaries but with fun and laughter thrown in. You’re brilliant at this guys and I have no idea why you’ve not got way over 2M subscribers?!!!! 🤔😳. You should have!! When the lady handed out the snake wine and said good for men and happy for the woman, Julia saying oh please don’t 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Or words to that effect! The ‘cruise boat was the way to go, shame you didn’t manage 3 nights to fit it all in!! And that crazy train zooming down that narrow street with cafes and people sat waiting for it!! 😃 Loved this!! 🍹🍹🍹🪱🪱🪱😃🤣🥰🙅♀️🙅♀️🙅♀️
Absolutely loved your exploration of Vietnam! Your journey through its vibrant cities and serene landscapes captures the essence of this beautiful country. The coffee culture and unique experiences like the train street really stood out. Thanks for the engaging share!❤
A great vlog, with great production! You've been missed! The cruise looked amazing,I thought the music was music you'd put on as it was never ending..lol. Merry Christmas to one and all!
Again, a wonderful video. Did Matt need a little cheese with that bun? 🤣 Looks like you will be spending Christmas at home Julia. I wish you and your family a wonderful time. ❤
In Vietnam, it’s all about coffee, coffee, and more coffee. It took me more than a year to discover about North Vietnam and I’m still doing it. It’s amazing you can do it in 7 days
@@AtmosJourney You cannot see it all in 7 days. Maybe the most popular highlights, but there are still tons of stuff out there people aren't aware of yet.
@@datgal2u Yes, you will need more time to adventure and taste Vietnam’s best. 7 days is just the touch of the surface. If 7 days is not enough, you got to return again for another trip to see its people, culture, diversity, and food.
Wonderful video, my son-in-law is Vietnamese and I find myself wondering what it’s like with so many people living there. Merry Christmas to the both of you.
Nice video guys, the scenery is just incredible and I’m quite curious how the snake wine tasted (I have heard they make “snake vodka” which is vodka mixed with snake blood!). Definitely adding Vietnam to my personal bucket list. Happy travels to the 3 of you!
It's good that you have returned! I had seen a documentary years ago about this street, but it was a vegetable and fruit market...is it another part of the same street or was the market converted into tourist-oriented cafes? The paradoxes of these times of mass tourism and social networks. The gondola turned upside down in Venice because people wanted to take selfies... here we have to be more careful with this train... Goodbye
Just as beautiful as I remember. The cruise was amazing. We had 2 nights on a smaller boat and the sunrise in a lifting mist was unforgettable. And the food... awesome. See you soon! From Senegal right now. Home on Wednesday night!!! Linda and Pierre
Wow, I never would have imagined North Vietnam would be so luxurious and flourishing! Their economy seems to be doing great! BTW, you guys don't act like you're Russian at all! You act like Americans/English and your accent is very good!
Prefer your verite videos where we just watch you travel rather than voice over as we can access all this information easily and the joy of your videos is watching the two of you travel and discover as it unfolds! 😊

Vietnam's new visa policy effective from 15th August 2023 extends stay duration for 13 countries enjoying unilateral visa exemption from 15 days to 45 days, regardless of passport type and entry purpose. The 13 coutries include: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus.
Compared to the other remaining communist countries in the world ( China , North Korea , Cuba , Laos ) Vietnam is actually the most liberal one . There are more freedoms here than in many other autocratic countries like Russia , Belarus , Mongolia , Iran , Afghanistan , Myanmar and many African, Middle Eastern , South American , Central Asian countries .
