    Those two philodendrons go together so well because the velvety one has that lime green veining in it great combo! I wouldn't have realized that except you have them both together I'm on the lookout for both of them

    When you showed your Chinese Evergreen you said it was in an ugly pot. You could buy another pot and put it inside to hide that pot but I'm glad to see you didn't repot it. Too many people repot their plants and the four plants have been traumatized from the greenhouse to the store to the car to the home and then you take all there Comfort away in the soil that they were growing it. Then people wonder why the plant just sits there it's in shock. So you're doing a great job with your plants and I'm only into the first minute and a half of your video but you're doing a great job with your Chinese Evergreen it's gorgeous

      Thanks so much Kathleen. I have not been able to find the right size pot for my evergreen but I will definitely put in a cache pot. Good idea !! Yea, I try to mimic the environment in which these plants were in an effort to keep them happy and healthy :)

    Maybe you'll get tired of my comments but as I watch I always like to comment because I'll forget by the end of the video! I love that idea of the lace on the clay pot fantastic I think it would look really cute to put it around in a circle along the rim that would be pretty too and maybe put a couple of those flat marbles glued to the bottom of the pot so your lace doesn't sit in water in the clay saucer underneath it. Or just put a couple Pebbles or something so that your lace doesn't Wick water up it beautiful idea you are very creative. And I love the spider plant in the soup can great idea about recycling. Sometimes you get the big cans like the kidney beans come in and it has white enamel inside the can which would be a great thing to use for a plant

    Very nice tour. Thanks for sharing that with us. I love the shelf of prayer plants. I also have two and I've found them to be easy plants to grow. I also enjot making macrame plant hangers. It is so relaxing to make them. Lots of love and many blessings.

    Wow I'm impressed with that macrame you made. Very unusual with that pocket to put the plan in you should do a video on making one of them!

    I just bought a zz plant in February maybe I had hunted and hunted for 1 since I saw one on Carolyn's orchids Channel but it's spelled Jacqueline with an O named after her husband and her name combined. It's big and gorgeous. This one needs a new pot because it's all deformed and with fertilizing it or watering it with the leftover orchid fertilizer that I talked about and you're plant shopping video it has almost triple that size it has almost 7:00 new shoots that are almost twice as tall as the original plant! I think it's that seaweed fertilizer and also I use the fertilizer sticks I want to say it's hyponex that makes them.... might not be the brand name but anyhow they sell them in the dollar store and Dollar General there little plant sticks and usually they're like even numbers the three numbers like 10 10 10 or 9 9 9 but there's also one of those fertilizer sticks in with the ZZ plant. I love those plant sticks and sometimes you can find them with the middle number higher which helps your blooming plants so if I forget to water with fertilized water they have a little bit there to help them. That and another great thing to put in plants is something that's sold at Lowe's and some garden centers called soil moist. It's little tiny crystals that swell up to 50 times their size and their weight in water. So if you have a hanging basket especially plants hanging outside in the summer there's water held in those little crystals and suspension for the plant when it needs more water it does not make the soil soggy. I use it in all my potting soil and I especially use it outside even with plants I put in the ground. The other thing I think it does besides have a water reserve for the plant is with expansion and contraction it keeps the potting soil loose and keeps it for becoming compacted. I buy a lot of coleus in the spring and take cuttings from it so I don't have to buy so many plants for summer enjoyment. But transitioning water routes on coleus to soil Sometimes It's Tricky but is that soil moist crystals are put in the pot the coleus take off. They grow like a weed. They do not like to ever dry out because they'll start losing leaves. Because they have that extra water there they just keep on growing and they never go into shock. At At the end of the summer

    • @kathleenmurphy2379
      @kathleenmurphy2379 5 років тому

      My microphone cut off so at the end of the summer to continue to talk about soil moist crystals when the frost hits the coleus plants on the patio and I pulled the dead plants out of the pot many times that the soil still a little moist it has the little clear chunks that sort of looks like Jell-O clinging to the roots or the roots are clinging to it because they want to suck out that water the crystals holding there for them. I reuse my potting soil from year to year I try to refresh it half and half but sometimes I just don't have the money to buy tons of potting soil. So if I forget I put soil moist crystals in last summer and put more in the soil does not get soggy. What happens after a heavy rain is it just looks like I'm growing clear chunks of Jell-O in my pot of flowers. I have never had soil get soggy with using them. But I never buy the Miracle Grow potting soil with that moisture control thing in it because it get soggy. I think it has the kind of polymer crystals in it that a baby's pamper would have which is a polymer that is Gummy and sticks together the polymer that is in soil moist stays a crystal shape and it might press up against another Crystal but it never bonds with that Crystal and sticks to it it stays its own little chunk. Well I told you in the other video of the nursery tour that I use the microphone on my phone keyboard to comment so here is another long comment!

    The last prayer plant you showed I have one of them and I have the lime green the first one you showed. A branch broke off of the first one that I ever bought which has the red veins. I put it in water it got roots and a little bulb grew at the end of the stem while it was in water. I just planted it it's one leaf on a stem with the little bulb at the end and some roots. I put it in a pot and it's been in the pot for about 2 or 3 weeks still alive no new growth

    Wonderful video, I have that Aglaonema, and 4 others, I love the colorful ones, I got two for sale, and one on clearance, two at Home Depot and the clearance one at Lowe's. The green variety one I have is an older plant that had been struggling and is now doing better. We seem to share the same plants a lot I have noticed in your plant tours, so that's exciting to see how yours are doing and then I look at how mine are doing as well, you do have more than a few that are on my wish list, so exciting to see where you have placed yours so eventually when I get mine I will know where to place them.I always enjoy your videos, thank you so much, bye for now.
