- MGB or MBG (i can't remember which one) is easily one of the biggest PS5 fanboys on youtube, but before that he was one of UA-cam's biggest xbox fanboys. this dude will take any and every opportunity to try and say the "Xbox Series X is trash" to make his precious PlayStation 5 look better and this video we are taking a look at today is the perfect example of that. Apparently the PS5 UI Reveal/Preview has proven definitively that Xbox Series X is not a next generation console... You Literally can't make this stuff up.

Don’t get me wrong, the UI is important but not what resolution it’s running at, but rather how easy it is to navigate (which is why I hated and still hate the new Xbox one, x, and s UI when it got updated, the originally shipped UI was much better) and how clean it looks. But in no shape form or fashion does resolution matter for UI.

Early adopters are going to fuck with it no matter what and the issues will get ironed quickly over time. I wouldn’t compare them to much to Computer Operating systems cause the console ones don’t have to do as much. When people talk about the best console Ui they mention the xmb, Wii channels, the blades on the 360. Very simplistic shit compared to computers.

I am actually shying away from Sony due to the censorship and the butting in on chats. Limiting available games due to bias is a massive turn off. The very first 64Bit Qualcomm processor was released in 2014/2015, a year or 2 after Apple's Cyclone SoC in the iPhone 5S.
It REALLY goes to show how far you people will go to try and make Apple look bad, when you're comparing Linux to iOS. You're right, Linux had 64bit support long before, but "Android" didn't until roughly 2014, due to Qualcomm not releasing a processor capable of 64 bit computing before then. Apple was the first smartphone with iPhone 5S to have it in a consumer product.
Here's another one for you then. Apple App Store. Was released on iOS version 2 for iPod Touch, and later for iPhone 3GS. So really, Google Play is literally copying Apple if you want to go down that route...

Maybe I need to go back through the video but I swore the PS fanboy said the Xbox Series S and expected it to be 4K, he even priced it at 499, which is the Xbox series X that is full 4k. I am half deaf so maybe thats a good idea on my part.
I do, I want performance first, so if the Xbox Series X dash runs FAST and SMOOTH and responsive that is the ABSOLUTE PRIORITY for me. Happy for them to up the res right up until it costs performance.... My point is I don't want 4K if it's going to slow it down....
Probably helps cool down the console over time when you change games. Less resolution means less power is needed
As long as the UI functions properly, is easy and intuitive to use, and looks at least presentable, I don't really care what resolution it is. It's doesn't have to be a work of art, it just has to properly fulfill its function.

Microsoft can buy out Sony outright multiple times. Just see both of their total net worth. It's actually why (I theorize) X-Box is taking things 'slower' this console generation. Most of the BIG exclusives X-Box has will be out after the console release. It's also why X-Box is integrating PC in their future plans with deals and exclusives.
I am not a console player but as it looks to me, Microsoft is steering away from the typical competition they have in the 'console wars' and paying the long game with Audience Approval. They are trying to make X-Box a 'lifestyle' rather than a brand. Whether they succeed is something we have to wait and see.
Anyhow Microsoft's net worth is a 'hundred' times more than Sony. They fuken bought out Bethesda's parent company which is worth more than Sony recently lol.

It was decent when I played it in a free weekend and bought it but the devs just have to make the game worse each update and break it even more. Bf4 at launch is perfect compared to that game.

The reason for this limitation is that Microsoft “wanted to reserve more resources for games”. This makes sense, especially in light of the reveal that the Series X can hold multiple games in its cache for quick switching. That functionality is undoubtedly resource intensive, and a 4k Dashboard would simply eat into those resources the entire time. The embargo says specifically not to dwell on the UI elements because it isn't final and will be updated before launch.
They were talking about the Xbox series S in the Video not the Xbox series X fyi. The Xbox series X is the full 4K deal while the Xbox series S is made around 1440p. The PS fanboy was just ignorant trying to find something to bash Xbox even though he didnt have his facts straight. That PS fanboy even went on to say the Xbox Series S is 499 though its only 299. He didnt do his homework to ensure he had his facts straight.
I see sony going the PS3 route again. They are backing away from GAMING and studying to make entertainment system. I buy a console for gaming not to oogle the damn menu😒

@@alvaromendonca4518 it was incredible looking. But so was RDR 2, and the Xbox One X apparently ran it the best (I'm not sure on that but that's what the general census seems to be). Meaning that the argument of "ps4 games were host looking" is dumb, because that statement was trying to downplay the abilities the One had, even though the One ran arguably the best looking game ever made, at the best quality. Not to mention how good Forza looks every release.

@@alvaromendonca4518 Well I think TLoU 2 had better character designs, because it was a smaller game, and they could focus more on that. But the animations in TLoU2 was kinda off for me. The running looked like they were ice skating, like they had no weight. And the punching look like they were throwing their whole body with it lol. Ofc the Cutscene animations were amazing.
Rdr 2 was an open world game with only 1 loading screen. And it rendered all of that at once. So, even though TLoU 2 had better minute things, RDR 2 still had good ones, and then the larger scale things like the landscape and draw distance and weather and lighting, grass, mud, were masterful. This game has some of the best looking water I've ever seen lol. The waterfalls are ridiculous. But the game was built for high end pcs and the One X and Ps4 pro specifically, and then downscale for the lower spec systems. That's why even 2 years later most games havent topped it.
And I think u are right, the One X ran Native 4k on it, whereas the Pro ran Dyanmic, if I'm not mistaken. So the One X did play the best version in terms of consoles, which again, makes that "ps4 games were best looking " argument moot

Agreed. I literally see no point in the 3090 over the 3080 unless you REALLY need that 24GB of VRAM. When checking benchmarks tests comparing both gpu's, the results were very similar with the 3090 only pushing about 5-10 fps more for double the price. I think the only time you would need a 3090 is if you're constantly playing in 4K or even sometimes 8K where you need the extra VRAM on CERTAIN games. However it's a very conditional circumstance that is offering diminishing returns with lower frame rates given the performance of current computer technology. The money you can save from buying the 3080 instead of the 3090 could go towards basically anything else anyway.

Xbox isn't just winning right now, they are dominating on a level we haven't seen before. As an xbox guy I can fully admit that sony has had the lead since the PS3. Fanboys just aren't ready to except the truth
Indeed, PS might win some of the battles, but Xbox is going to win the war. I can't think much of anything to expect on Sony in the future as they are sticking in traditional console gaming while Xbox is revolutionizing game accessibility in three different platforms and possibly even more in the future. I mean Microsoft is partnering with SpaceX to bring Azure to the freaking moon so there's that. There are also rumors about a potential Steam and Xbox partnership which if it's true then it would be huge news.
There are also more exclusive games to expect, they're not even done on acquiring more studios as well. Sega? Techland? T2? No one knows since if all of these companies are willing to be sold then Microsoft can just swoop them up easily.
All of this because Sony can't really compete with a trillion dollar company fully backing Xbox this generation. God bless Phil for saving Xbox and Satya willing to push the Xbox brand even further.
