Ooh some gorgeous fabrics there Ruth ❤. I also plan to get to grips with the Ilford Jacket this year, for some reason it’s intimidated me too, buy I have the fabric for it, so need to get my finger out!! It will look gorgeous in that green and get loads of wear I’m sure. xxx
When I finally get the motivation to finish off my Fran pj's I think I will start on the Ilford next otherwise I will have missed the weather for it for another year 🥰
I thought it was snoring 😂😂 is Frank a bulldog? If so I would Love to see him 🥰🥰 actually whatever breed I’d love to put a face to the snoring 😂😂. Also loved seeing what you bought from G&G. 😊
That's so funny, it was such a great evening wasn't it and I am super happy with my fabric choices. First up will definitely be the Ilford Jacket in the olive corduroy. I need to stop putting it off 🥰
What a haul! Look forward to seeing the shirt made up. Can I ask you what pattern did you use for your blouse? I bought the fabric from G&G over a year ago, and I need inspiration to make it up.
Hi, its actually the Cuff Dress by The Assembly Line. It is a lovely pattern and I really enjoy wearing it. They still have the fabric in G&G, I saw it while I was there 🥰
Gorgeous fabrics Ruth I’m looking at doing the Ilford in cord as well but can’t settle on a colour. My buttons look great thanks so much for licking them up and in,I’ve the green ones as well 💕💕🥰xx
@@SeamStressedRuth I’m still not sorted with a fabric waiting for some samples to arrive watched one of the Friday pattern company vlogs last night very helpful xx
Love your Atelier Brunette fabrics. I bought some of the larger one last Autumn in the Lamazi Fabrics sale and made a Waves and Wild Kinjarling dress. I think the main colour is called liquorice, which I love as it’s my favourite sweet! What do you plan to make with yours?
Oh I love liquorice too, it's a beautiful fabric isn't it. I think I will make a blouse with it, I'm not certain on the pattern yet but possibly an Ines Shirt by Tessuti or a Zoey Blouse by Atelier Jupe. I haven't made either before so I will have to research them on Instagram and try to decide. Do you have any other suggestions? I have 2m of it x
@@SeamStressedRuth I was going to suggest the blouse version of the Nicks dress, which is very similar to the Zoey. I love Tessuti patterns but haven’t made the Ines. I know the Atelier Brunette fabric you have is very fine, just wonder if it would stand up to the buttons on the Ines. I see that being made up in linen. I went to the Tessuti shop in Sydney last January and I’m sure the lady who served me was wearing an Ines or similar in a lovely lime green linen. Such a lovely shop!
Hello Ruth, thank you for taking me on Friday and for the mention. We had a great time, with lots of laughs and “fabric touching” . Your fabrics are so well coordinated., they will be a fabulous capsule wardrobe. I’m thinking now I should have bought some of that beautiful red velvet. I look forward to seeing your makes. Happy sewing. Love Donna xx
Wow what a lovely shopping trip well done xx
Lovely purchases! That’s great you can buy the buttons individually. The snoring made me chuckle 🤭 xx.
Frank always has to make an appearance in my video's somewhere and it's usually his snoring under the desk 🥰🐶 xx

Good thing I live in Canada,. I'd have to come and borrow all your fabrics.. they are gorgeous..
Oh thank you so much! I have always wanted to visit Canada, one day i'll get there 🤞
Just love Frank’s contributions!! My dogs snore, but not so consistently🐶
He is a professional snorer! My lovely sister has just sent me a microphone to use when I'm filming, I think she has had enough of listening to him 😂
Lovely fabrics. My favourite store ❤. The fabric colours look like they will be lovely on you.
Thank you 🥰 I had never been before but it was only an hours drive so I think I will be going again xx
This sounded like such a fun trip! I love the cord fabric and it will make a gorgeous ilford!!!
Thank you, I am determined to get to the Ilford soon. No excuses now 🥰
Beautiful buttons. Good to know you can buy them individually 🤩
Yes I was pleasantly surprised by that, through they are so pretty I'd probably buy just as many anyway 🥰

Hiya Jane, yes he's a French Bulldog 🥰 He has made a few appearances in my past video's but I'll make sure he features in the next one too xx
Despite the fact I have seen what you bought! I absolutely loved this 😊 cannot wait to see what you make up lovely x

You pronounce it “Vilene”! I remember from school!
Thank you, I was way off with my effort then 🥰

That's a very valid point, the Ines is probably not the right choice for this fabric. The Nicks is a great shout though! Thank you xx
You chose some lovely fabrics Ruth, I’m looking forward to seeing your makes. ❤😊

It was a brilliant evening wasn't it, we always have fun together 😊 That velvet was beautiful, maybe any leftovers will go on the website? x
Gorgeous fabrics, love how they all coordinate ❤
Thank you so much, I am extremely happy with them 🥰
