Came back from a trip to NY last 2weeks and really glad I went to Katz Deli, took lotsa pictures and videos , so much history in that place!
Went also to Mighty queen BBQ, too bad the brontosaurus was over.
Great trip tho, but man NY is sooo messy! non stop noise almost got me a heart attack!

Im really surprised that Keens isn't on here. That mutton chop is seriously special. And it's like a museum in there. Its the best NYC steakhouse (in my personal option). I think it gets over looked a lot because it so old.

Been to about a third of them (used to work in LES and Katz's was my favorite lunch spot) and it's really not that bad. These are not the crazy restaurants that you need to get on a wait list for a table lol.
Literally 20 minute waits, if any at all.

Yoxify it clearly seems like they are near new York or in New York “gas” but ok.
Mei saying gas doesn’t immediately make me think they live in or near New York. If you are only a couple states over (like I am), you might see traveling on land more efficient than flying.

CROSSING our fingers restaurants continue to allow 25% indoors through the winter. But they will. Maybe even an increase. We've done our job well in NYC through Covid. We just started putting that NYC knowledge on display over on our channel

Obviously it's a matter of taste as to what are some people's favorites to what other's would consider hideous and I'm trying to be nice here. My father (God rest his soul) brought my sister and I to Mama Leone's (not on your list - you might want to try) which back then put food on the table (cheese board, breadsticks etc.) with the menu. 60 years later I still remember that place.
Coming from a Texan, that BBQ at number 2 looks damn good
It is if you stick to brisket. Their pork sucks, their sausage is all-pork and not beef of a mix, and they are getting so creative that most of their menu items aren’t actually BBQ anymore. Typical business killer. No actual NYers go there anymore.

I'm surprised that Delmonicos was not on this list. I made a short visit to NYC in 2016 (my first ever), and made a point to go there. It was expensive to be sure (just over $200 for 2), but it was an iconic restaurant with a bit of history.
I’ve lived in nyc 15 years and only tried like five of these. Guess I better get chewing.

That is hilarious sol sips is the building I used to live in. I remember hanging out in there before it was sol sips when I was a kid drinking coffee and playing arcades cause my neighbor on second floor used to own the place....don’t live there no more cause the land lords not sure if still same guys tried to burn us out of the building cause rent was low and place became gentrified so money fun times
