I'm a pensioner in UK and have been looking at feasibility of relocating to Russia. Other than taking cash with you there is the issue of how you transfer funds (such as monthly pension payments) from UK to Russia. Apart from that there are many good reasons for living in Russia.
cross border payments are difficult these days unless done in cryptocurrency, the only way that I've been able to make cross border payments is through Crypto, which is a timely and costly endeavour, it's worth baring in mind the costliness, for me I work for Pounds, Rubles and Euros so that I always have something somewhere, I can imagine a pension would be a difficult one.
I strongly recommend you all to move to Russia, especially different location than main cities: Moscow or Petersburg.
