This is so true. I'm Catholic and used to work for a Jewish company. The boss would have many different business persons come in each day. The first question they would always ask me is "are you Jewish?". They wanted to know could they trust me! Was I in the circle? Even the boss didn't trust me. It took him 2 years before he would leave his office unlocked when he left the building. I worked there for nearly 6 years and they were so upset when I left. They even tried to recruit me again many months after I'd left. Trust is everything to Jewish people.

I agree, I thought I was doing alright profit wise, until I needed assistance with diversification, I reached out to a financial advisor and in less than a year I was just $51,000 shy away from $850k which is like 7x more than I make on my own..

In many people's paradigms of the world, there is a concept of "misery loves company." In Judaism we have such people too. Unfortunately it's easy to project our misery onto others, and blame them for our faults. And within a community there are circular communities. You just have to find the right crowd for yourself within your chosen community: people who are positive, intent on getting ahead and moral. I believe all religions have many such communities.

Thank you for sharing, trust and charity is something a lot of other communities lack, I am Chinese and Christian, neither group is super tight knit. there is a lack of familiarity with other members and therefore a lack of trust, so there's less economic cooperation all around.
It's hard to catch up in a short time what the Jewish community has done successfully for thousands of years, but if I get to know my communities members better, give them some credit to get started, it can get the ball rolling.

Really? How strange....I am African-American from San Francisco. At least in the '70's the Chinese community was tight (Cantonese speakers). My best friend's family (Hong Kong- based) belonged to a Family Association related to their family's original village & family last name in China. Doesn't your family belong to one? They helped each other with information,banking,
matchmaking( ❤) & business. I attended their annual Family Assoc. Banquet 2 years in a row. Does your family do that? If not, perhaps you are the one slated to begin this tradition again for your whole extended family....
The S. Korean immigrant men that I knew had 'business circles' & helped each other get into businesses.As Berel said, since these men knew each others' families in Korea and went to church together they were going to pay back the loans that their buddies gave them....The Vietnamese have their own little 'economic circles' going in their own families...so there you have it! Base your business on performance and award contracts on merit. Put in place an intricate and exhaustive vendor and associate scrutiny mechanism. Put in brutal quality and performance clauses on not only your vendors and associates but also on yourself.
Do what I do, I don't do business, I live my business.
And Google my friend is not the right place for gauge someone's merit, skillset and performance capabilities, you need to get to the pit and get your hands dirty.

I agree with the concept at community level, however I believe when business becomes broader encompassing more communities and customers eg, national or international, diversity of thought and background (culture, community, etc) becomes more important to be able to best understand customers and fellow workers, as well as encourage additional ideas.

As a Muslim respect for sharing this. In Australia Jewish communities live in the best areas and have the best schools. Unfortunately we as community don’t have that trust and willingness to help each other to implement this for ourselves which is sad because our religion teaches us this.

Dein Herr sagt: «Das ist Mir ein Leichtes, und damit Wir ihn zu einem Zeichen für die Menschen und zu einer Barmherzigkeit von Uns machen». Und es ist eine beschlossene Angelegenheit.‘“ (Quran 19, 16-21)
Um Jesus in seinem Streben zu helfen, wurde ihm die Fähigkeit gegeben, mit Allahs Erlaubnis Wunder zu vollbringen. Laut islamischer Quellen wurde Jesus weder getötet noch gekreuzigt. Vielmehr wurde er lebendig in den Himmel erhoben. Die islamischen Überlieferungen besagen, dass er kurz vor dem Jüngsten Tag auf die Erde zurückkehren wird, um Recht und Ordnung wiederherzustellen und den falschen Messias (Ad-Daddschal) zu besiegen. So wie alle Propheten ist auch Jesus gemäß dem Islam ein Muslim, da er seinem Volk die Annahme des rechten Weges und die Unterwerfung des eigenen Willens unter den Willen Gottes predigte. Der Islam lehnt es ab, Jesus als Gott oder Sohn Gottes zu bezeichnen. Dabei wird mit der Tatsache argumentiert, dass er ein gewöhnlicher Mensch war, so wie alle Propheten, der auserwählt wurde, um die Botschaft Gottes zu verkünden.
Die islamischen Quellen verbieten es, Gott in irgendeiner Weise Partner beizugesellen. Dabei wird die Idee der Einheit und Einzigkeit Gottes hervorgehoben. Jesus hat im Quran zahlreiche Namen wie Al-Masih (Messias), obwohl die Bedeutung vom christlichen Glauben abweicht und man in ihm lediglich den Sohn Marias und einen Diener Gottes sieht. Gemäß dem Quran hat Jesus das Kommen des Propheten Mohammads prophezeit. (Quran 61, 6)
