No, lazy purple just sometimes turns off veiwmodels and draws white outlines while editing. Also in tf2 no one says "emote." the "emotes" are always referred to as "taunts" Yes, soldiers do take damage from rocket jumping, because, in its most simple terms, rocket jumping is just firing a rocket at your own feet. BTW scouts 33% speed bonus is nothing compared to the mobility you can get out of rocket jumping, sticky jumping, trimping, and damage surfing.
Well, about what you said with the alternative methods of mobility can actually beat Scout when it comes to getting around the map. But even then, those alternative methods take a lot of skill and proper knowledge of the map to be used effectively, besides, let's not forget that Scout also has the Baby Face's Blaster, a weapon that at full boost, turns Scout into the fastest running speed class in the whole game. A Scout with a full boost has the potential to be nearly uncacheable if it wasn't for the fact that you lose the boost so easily.
7:28 He did write at the bottom of the screen, at 6:43 to 6:45, that he had turned off viewmodels, and that the drawing was for the viewers benefit. You don't have a selectable option in game to turn off the viewmodel but you are allowed to use the consol command for disabeling its drawing. Can re enable it whenever you want again.
and as a former tf2 player who came to ow i fucking wish that had been an option. especially as a doomfist player, with a third of my screen consistently covered by my fucking hand
Scout can 2 shot most classes at point blank range. The only exception being heavy and people who have been overhealed by a medic. The scattergun, for example, fires 10 pellets per shot with each pellet doing 10.5 damage at close range, so you can do a 105 damage meat shot at close range if all your pellets connect. The downside to this insane dps is that scout only has 125 health which makes him very vulnerable if he's caught by surprise or trapped in a tight corridor and can't easily run or jump away
There is another downside to this. Buildings ignore any damage modifiers and only takes base damage. While this serves as a nice advantage to the rocket launcher, it absolutely cucks the scattergun since it's insane dps comes from it's damage ramp-up and it only deals 60 damage without it. This combined with it's bullet spread, makes scout laughably bad at taking on sentry nests, even with an ubercharge.
@@VagueCastle649 For the buildings i prefer using winged or stock pistol. plot 15 dmg per bullet with 6 bps is enough to enrage most engies for constantly consuming their whole dispenser metal
I think the outline is a mod or something that removes weapon models but Lazy editing the outline in. I think anyway, haven't used it and only seen it on the how it feels Vids.
Not only is he the fastest, he can also double jump. Movement speed in TF2 is based on percentage. Scout is 133 Spy and Medic are 107 Engineer, Pyro, and Sniper are 100 Demo is 93 Soldier is 80 Heavy is 77
also when he's talking about competitive he doesn't mean queue up and play comp he means like play in a league organization by a third party. tf2 comp is completely grass roots and I'm so glad vids like lazy purples still float around showing people how cool it can be
scouthas a unique shotgun. there's a function in game called damage ramp up. Every shotgun has a base damage of 6 per pellet, and standard pellets are 10. every shotgun besides scout's has a 50% damage ramp up, meaning if they are at close to point blank range, a shot will deal 90 damage. scout's shotgun, the scattergun, has a 66% ramp up, meaning it does 100 damage at point blank. Scout can two tap anything except an overhealed soldier or a heavy. base speed is 300 hammer units. scout runs at 400, heavy is at 258, soldier at 270, demo at 290, medic 310, about, i haven't checked exact numbers.
re speed, I believe all the characters have their own speed stats with the soldier being the 'default' at speed 100. Heavy is slower, Medic is slightly faster, etc. Scout's speed is the highest at 133, but it can be increased even more with certain weapons. One of my favourite ways to play Scout back in the day was with the Baby Face's Blaster which grants more speed up to ridiculous amounts as you do damage, and the novelty fish melee weapon. Land a couple of meat shots to build speed then just blur around smacking people with the fish. The kill feed even gives you a big "FISH KILL!!!" when you get someone down. He stopped playing TF2 (mostly?) a while back and now plays Overwatch a bit, but Star_ was a fantastic Scout player and has the added benefit of sharing his accent.
soldier is actually the second slowest class in the game. pyro and demo at 100% iirc, spy and medic 109%(?) an scout at 133% can't remember heavy and soldier's exact speed but they are the slowest classes
The Baby Face's Blaster makes you go at 190% speed at max boost (but you lose 100% boost when you take 25dmg). But even so, gaining that boost comes quickly and makes it REALLY hard for the enemy team to kill you (especially in Casual). Medic can hold his own if he's using the Blutsager or Overdose. Even the Crusader's Crossbow's max dmg is enough to kill all light classes and an enemy Medic.
Fun fact scout also have Some kind of soda called The bonk what remplace you secondary weapon and some of then do things like makes you Faster or one of the most broken makes you do Critics all time

Also at some point in TF2 there was a weapon that allowed scouts to have a 200% speed which literally made him outrun his own hitbox
That was a myth, he never actually could outrun his hitbox with babysface
he never outran his hitbox, that was made up by salty players who couldn't hit their shots

Nah you only need to type specific command I don’t exactly remember it but it’s something like viewmodel_fov 0
wrong
Not really, I think it was his editing. He stops using it after HiFtP Soldier.
I think that’s just him drawing to show what his gun is doing, since his viewmodels are off, I don’t think it’s a mod

The outline is just Lazy having the gun animated due to having turned the guns viewmodel off. In game he wouldn't even see it
