Why do people feel the need to play music in the background when talking about serious legal issues? if i was having a meeting with a Solicitor or Barrister would he be playing dance music during that meeting?

Thank you so very much for taking the time to explain legal proceedings to assist those of us, who cannot afford the legal costs when considering taking an organisation to court. I am indebted to you for your great videos.

Great comment about litigation costing more than just money. I recently decided against pursuing a claim against a web developer, even though our case was strong, counsel's opinion favourable and the defendant established and worth pursuing - simply because of the drain on time and massive distraction it would have been. Better to put it down to experience and move on, concentrate on building the business instead.

I can't believe how much civil matters cost to deal with. Myself and several others are currently dealing with a party that is being deliberately obstructive and dismissive so we can only hope that ADR solves the issue with a reasonable compromise. I was advised that litigation costs going to court could escalate into the tens of thousands, even for a simple matter like ours because the other party seem likely to dig their heels in and make it difficult!
Litigation is for the very wealthy - the rest of us have no hope.

That's my issue which is why I am going to get books on the matter in question, theres a reason they took away legal aid as legal aid at least gave the consumer (us poor sods) the chance to defend our case with a person representing us. However I feel my case is straight forward and there's a lot discrimination that has gone on with myself.

If your case is straightforward then you have nothing to lose except time by representing yourself. If you are claiming benefits then you should be exempt from the court fee too.

Are lawyers permitted to offer "bundled services" in England and Wales? These are limited-scope retainers by which the lawyer offers only to render a particular service during litigation, e.g., draft an affidavit, bring a motion, negotiate a resolution or draft a statement of claim. Many thanks.

It is, at least potentially, perverting the course of public justice if proven - perhaps you need someone to investigate it fully.

I watched many UA-cam videos including yours. But feel that having now lost a case that most of this advice is useless. Why? I will list some reasons here.
    1. No mention of consumer rights act 1974 (if you didn’t sign a contract including terms and conditions you might as well give up asap) I know you will say I should have known this but surely some of you legal experts should have seen failures based on this alone.
    2. No mention of huge amounts of time involved in prepping these cases. (Time is money in business better to carry on with your business than waste time trying to pursue non payers) after all you don’t get paid the amounts legal professionals get paid.
    3. Most of these advice videos are so poorly constructed that they fail to include advice to defendants on claiming costs ( this was the only thing I came out of court laughing about the defendant had not brought any invoices for his costs and the expert opinion had not provided a reinstatement cost for the rectification of the supposed problem) this cost the defendant at least £1800 in the end he got back the £400 he had paid me for part payment and £80 court fee)
Be careful everyone remember that these videos are to win legal professionals work and the system is for legal experts even though it’s called civil claims. When I mentioned to the judge at the end of the hearing that there was a lack of information his reply was “if you want to improve the system YOU email the court system” interest on the judges part zero. It’s just a job. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
