I was watching with sound off and paused right where it says "Wei Wuxian". Nice to find an MXTX fan! 😆 I love the pattern on the foil you chose (gonna watch again with sound) - it looks so pretty!
@@hayleybreshears4567 I've seen countless videos where this specific doil is being used with glue only. I'm curious if someone ever tried it, I guess I'd have to fo it myself 😂
Thank you for the video. Giving this a trying on my latest rebind project. Do you have any foil brand recommendations? I bought deco foil for this first go.
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial! I have one question though :you don't use any protection between the foil and the Cricut mini Press : so, the foil doesn't damage the press I suppose, does it?
Sand forever, then sand some more. 😂. start with 120 then “slowly” move up to atleast 600. 1000 or even 2000 is better. To get the best result sand until the edge literally has a shine to it when the light hits it. The foil application will never be any better than the sanding job underneath it. So look at the way the light reflects off your sanding job and ask yourself, if this was the finish would you be happy with it. If not sand some more until you have a nice smooth reflective edge. Then slowly add your foil making sure again to get a smooth application.
ive heard that its best practice to let the foil rest and dry for 24h before separating the pages. makes it easier. nice video!

Que tipo d pegamento usas y que numero de lija usas y por cuanto tipo lijas
Why do you need both glue and heat? If its heat activated it already has glue, no?
Nope :) the heat sets the adhesive and helps it pull away but both are typically required. Depends on the brand, just have to check the instructions 😊

Do you think compressed air would work to get out dust before the foiling?
I haven't tried, but I bet it would! Good idea!
Is there anyway to do this without taking the book apart?
Where did you buy your end papers again?
I wonder if after u sand if u take an air compressor to blow the dust out. Idk
¿Se puede hacer con un secador de pelo?
How long do you sand for? Not one video I have seen mentions that and boy I’m struggling with this. They aren’t coming out.
