Thank you for actually posting the process, most skip the most important part to me. shows the kill then boom its all prepped and going in a pot. lol I'm a first timer, but I'm going to try this method out as it seems pretty straightforward.
Great video, man. I've never tried red squirrel, but gray and fox squirrels are some of my favorite things to eat. Keep up the good work--the videos are always really good, especially for such a small channel.
I appreciate the kind words, I do try my best. Red squirrel tastes exactly like any fox, black or gray squirrel in the same area. They’re good eating just a bit smaller. Thanks for watching!
Squirrel season is coming up quick. Can’t wait to get out! We do over night canoe trips twice a year and everyone brings a little something different to eat. I brought 3 squirrels last time. Surprisingly not many of the guys have tried squirrel meat before. Great video. Just subbed. PA
@@TheHuntForDinner Much love to you and your family. P.S let me know when your ready to send me over some of those awesome mushrooms 🍄 you found 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤙🏽🤙🏽
Lol there’s still a bit of mushroom season left. I’ll definitely let you know if I find a bunch. I haven’t had time to get out lately but hopefully soon I will!
Thanks! Yeah the Tactacam works pretty good if it’s set up properly. Only downfall is to get the crosshairs in focus they are a bit blurry to the shooter but not too bad. I’m sure some scopes might not have that issue but I’m not buying a bunch to find out lol
@@TheHuntForDinner Sweet, I've been thinkin' about gettin a tactacam and now that I have a good .22lr with this ruger 10/22 it might be good to stick it on there for some small game footage. So you'd say it's worth the $ then for it eh?
Thanks I do try my best, I try to make videos that I’ll enjoy to watch later in life and hopefully it brings joy and inspiration to others along the way!
@@TheHuntForDinner hey man that’s all we can ask for 👏🏽 it def does love your channel man with pure content like this it’s only a matter of time, I’m just glad I found it so early on n get convos with the creator bless up wish u the best.
Thanks I’m glad you enjoy it that much. I always try and reply back to everyone who comments too, it just seems like the respectful thing to do for someone who took the time to watch and comment. I got a few more I filmed, just need to edit them!
I actually thought about this but the only problem is we can’t legally trap fish here. If I ever did it I wouldn’t be able to make a video of it lol. Possibly for my crayfish traps next year though for sure. Thanks for watching!
@@TheHuntForDinner yes IAM bingeing on your videos what a great outdoors man keep it up bro iam moving to the country your content is very educational 👍
I’m glad you’re enjoying! That’s one of the reasons I do this. I don’t monitize and make any money off them, I do it to show people some different ways of doing things and to eat what you kill. I also do them to hopefully put a smile on my face when I watch them when I’m old lol
The difference between a red and a grey is a bit different in the city/suburbs. The greys are too big and fat to be much of a nuisance. The reds get into everything and are very aggressive.
Oakland CA in da house. Splurging on his videos I love this guy he reminds of meat eater
This dude needs more subs. Great video.

Good video, tried this out. Still faster to cut the tail, step on it, and pull the whole jacket off.
Sandwich looks amazing.

:) There is a harbor freight around the corner from me - I'll try the shears cleaning method on grey squirrels next hunting season.
Good video, start a longer cut before pulling and you will have an easier time. Love hunting roaring Reds
Thanks, these are a fun time to hunt that’s for sure.
No reds in fl but back home plenty in the pines good eating

Yeah they’re worth it IMO. There’s a lot of videos online of them. I’d watch a few and see what you think but I’d buy another one.

Save the guts for a woven bottle neck basket trap for fish if it was for survival purposes, great video subbed

Thank you I appreciate that and I’m glad you enjoyed!
We have so many of these in NYC.
Great video. What sort of ammo are you using ? I got into the 710 fps cci quiets. almost like an air rifle and great out to 30 yds or so.
What is that on the side of the scope???? And how did you get the cross hairs in the video
That’s a Tactacam scope camera, that’s how I got the scope footage. It works pretty good and isn’t too hard to set up
Romantic spanish guitar 5/5
Great video 👍
Thank you!

Squirrel is high in cholesterol, but it’s good eats. Interesting way of skinning him 🇺🇸

Great how to vid... straight up. Good to know about the shears...Thanks

I shot 3 red squirrels this morning in an hour and a half with my pelet gun. Gonna eat em now!!
I love red squirrel meat tender and delicious
Do u believe in god? If yes, then ready for hell 😡....I was looking for squirrel videos for my daughter and now she is horrified after seeing it.
😂 why did you watch it??? You’re responsible for your daughter’s trauma. Now get outta here 😂 😒
haha...too good
What’s so funny dude
Well, if your daughter ever finds herself hungry in the real world, she'll know how to eat.
Quit being a wimp! It’s a squirrel! I’m sure she like chicken nuggets! What’s the difference? Tree huggers are so ignorant
