I used to hike Portuguese Bend Reserve all the time in 2018, but moved a little bit out of the area. It was one of my favorite places to hike. I was in shock when I came back January of this year to see the changes in the land, trees uprooted, giant cracks & holes in the ground. Even the electric poles were leaning & many parts of the trail blocked off due to safety issues. It looked very different & felt different as well if that makes sense. It used to give me a peaceful vibe, but when I went in January it felt the exact opposite. Palos Verdes is such a beautiful area. It’s really too bad what is happening there. I think people who are looking to buy there should do their research first. I imagine alot of people who live there now might be trying to sell because of the instability of the land?
@@All_praise_to_Jesus I've been looking into choosing my forever city and PVE was on my short list, along with Malibu and Newport. Based on all of this, I don't think I'm going to consider PVE any longer. As for this property, it's very nice but I can see why it still hasn't sold. It's too expensive for that particular neighborhood. People who can afford to pay $35 million, want to be surrounded by other $35 million+ homes. By combining 2 properties, they made a grand estate but probably didn't consider this issue. It almost reminds me of a family that won some big lottery prize in the 1990s and then decided to build a mansion in the city they loved and grew up in. West Covina. Then when they ran into serious financial trouble (as do most lottery winners), they had to sell the property but nobody who could afford it wanted a mansion located in that neighborhood.
Also, no the “whole mountain” is not moving It is only the slide planes moving and they are only affecting one particular area an area far from this home.
@@rbslammed6163 That may be so but it does have an impact on the entire peninsula and home values. Let’s also not forget Edison shutting off power. I was considering buying here in the future but all of PV is no longer on my list of potential cities.

@@keep22 I’d rather be around black and brown people than anywhere near Trump-loving klan people. Spoiler Alert: You know what’s really ghetto? Having 3 different baby mommas, 90 criminal charges, being a pathological liar, having to pay $25 million in 2018 to the victims of your fake university. Perhaps CA isn’t for you, and if not now, it definitely won’t be in another 10 years. There will be more brown and black folks than white folks. Good luck with that.
One of the best estates I've ever seen. Should geologists consider the cliff safe and stable, the piece of land by itself will be worth it.

The slides are only happening in one direction and this house is not affected

fabuloso
It's wonderful... until the bluff crumbles.
wow..
Is this the house where the filmed the helicopter scene where Hunsacker gets killed in the first Lethal Weapon movie? Sure looks like it.
you could be right.. great catch
Yes.Its the place.You’re exactly right
Right area but wrong house. This one is down the road from 2817 Via Segovia, which is the house where the scene was filmed
@@rbslammed6163 Thanks! What a cool name for a street!
Definitely an AirB&B or Pacaso property

I don’t understand the appeal of living in PV. You are surrounded by the ghetto and low quality areas. Much rather live in Newport or Laguna.
I know what you mean too many blacks and browns in surrounding PV.
