Yeah, when you are you're own boss and you work in the same spot you live... It's really easy to start hating yourself everytime you take a break. Glad you're taking that into consideration.

Very true, you have to pat yourself on the back and also keep ontop of yourself and your own work, but it's hard to find the right balance. We're getting better every day :)
Polly and Sam, when you have a 'down' day, or days, you could do a lot worse than read your own About page. In other words, your recipe for an alternative route through life for your generation. Don't be too negative - you have something special. That is, the ability to question the norm. I think a lot of people would like to do what you are doing, but they lack either your courage, your dedication, or they simply buckle under the weight of peer or family pressure. If you can, make the most of what you're doing now in the knowledge that you'll be able to relate your tales in future years (probably for profit) to the next generation. Don't worry if you don't go to university now - it won't kill you. If however, you do feel the need for a university education, you can go later in your lives via the Open University when you will have the benefit of having experienced life a bit (unlike many students of your age).🙂

We do sometimes watch back some of our videos to remind ourselves.
We feel no pressure to go to uni as we prefer to study for knowledge's sake than some grand practical goal. And as a pretty cool perk, I (Polly) can apply for a masters degree (skipping the bachelor) with my graphic design portfolio 😉...often experience can be worth more than exam results.
We believe that it will all work out and forcing any elements of life would hold us back.

I am amazed that you have trained your cats so well. I don't have a cat but I do have a (van) dog - although only when we go away on holidays in the summer. Quite honestly, he's not really trained very well (I blame the owner - me) and is very disobedient by your cats' standards. He's winging in the background whilst I'm typing this. I think he knows I'm saying negative stuff about him!

Training animals is always tough and it takes sooo much patience. Our kitties have their rogue moments but we are super happy that we can go on walks with them. ❤️

Thanks for watching David. Respectfully, we don’t film ourselves actually working because that would be pretty boring to watch. Instead, we filmed a small timelapse of the working time, and then for the rest of the week showed what went on in between. I’m sure you and no one else wants to watch a 20 mins video of us sitting at laptops discussing the finer points of our jobs. This video is about how to balance your work week, not to encourage people to be workhorses :)
@@FreedomStriderI balance my work years and go on my laptop for fun, to me thats not really work! I work on 4/5 month construction projects as a Foreman Joiner and Carpenter, where the work is physically and mentally draining, running a team of 12 needy guys, during these projects I work 12 hours a day 7 days a week until it is completed, then I bugger off in my van for a few months before I repeat the process on a new project. My point was I doubt you would last a day on a busy construction site. I've had many tough looking lads quit by lunch time, never had any woman even attempt it.
That's the work and lifestyle that you chose for yourself, honourable work (same as many other lines of work that support families accross the world). Although neither of us would enjoy your line of work, it is rather unfair to assume that we are unable to handle hardcore physical labour, considering the van build alone was 10-12 hour work days for 2 years straight, whilst juggling this channel and other jobs and repsonsibilities. We have seen plenty of women success in the construction industry, personally, one of them being my sister - and she handled everyone like the boss she is. 😎 Nowadays, many people make their living sitting on laptops online, and as exhausting as physical labour is, using your mind to create can knock you flat down just as much - to create it takes work. Even in construction, builders work off architechts designs and engineers maths before anyone lifts a finger. As far as we're concerned, every single one of those people have put in a hard days work, whether that be at their laptops designing or lifting a boulder.
