So much tension and in the same time fun, every those two players were on fire, Elegant has destroyed so many TOP players, MKleo with some crazy performance too and, he finally defead his worse demon ZeRo. So many stages, WTF, Town and City, Smash village, Lylat, Dreamland, Battlefield, all of this into game 10. I have no words. This HAS to be TOP 3 best sets of all time for the Smash Bros history. Congrats MKleo and gg Elegant, you was super close to win a Super major.

I think Elegant at this point is happy enough that: 1) He's proven to himself that he has what it takes to beat the big names. 2) He's proven that Luigi is viable in top tier events. Yes he ultimately lost, but it was extremely close and he had already taken a set off of Leo earlier, so it was no fluke. I'm very hopeful that he will yet take his first S-tier from here and that he will manage to take some of the other top players he has yet to add to his belt. Plus it has been ages since Leo both took a set off of Zero and won an S-tier, so I for one knew I was going to be happy with either outcome.
Honestly that move was not executed well enough. His body movement felt lazy and coincided with his arm momentum. Needed more draft and movement in the arms to match his expected performance with the body. This is proof that Luigi is not his spirit animal. Either that or that move was cringe as fuck. Could’ve just waved at his audience.
41:51 heartwarming but also lol on a different note, this was the most emotionally charged event I think I've seen all year. Comradery, stress, tension and strife were all present at an intense level. I love it

Let's be real, this was just like Void vs Salem. Both Void and Elegant are great players but just can't play with the big dogs, just ask Void after his set with Raito.
The real battle for this seasons rankings is 2nd. ZeRo has 1st on lockdown, but Salem, Nairo, and Mkleo are all fighting furiously for that 2nd place on the PGR V4
david jurado Nairo has been the most consistent and Twerk has done amazing in nearly everything he had entered. I would put it as Zero Nairo Leo Tweek Salem Salem has done well at a few but gone out pretty early in others. Yeah beating Zero this year is great but everyone of them except Tweek has done that.

Salme is guaranteed top 3 at the moment, and unless Nairo gets top 3 at every remaining major, then Salem will probably stay in the #2 spot. Leo's just barely behind them atm, and Tweek is #5 right now. Oh, and Tweek has beaten ZeRo at LTC.

Tweek got 17th at GT-X, 13th at SSC, and 11th at Pax Arena. MkLeo got 17th at Dreamhack Atlanta as well as 65th at EVO. Currently I still think it is ZeRo, Salem, Nairo, Leo, Tweek. If Tweek wants a shot at 2nd, he needs to win an S-tier.

Hey, the last smash4 major had pikachu and Corrin in grand finals. It was dreamhack 2018 Cosmos vs Esam. It's a common misconception that Evo 2018 was the last major due to Bayo resentment drawing a lot of attention to it than latter tournaments. I hope this information was useful to you.
Maybe the best couple of sets I've seen since I've started to follow the smash competitive scene. Elegant, you are from now on my favorite player. I will always root for you. This tournament was just amazing. Samsora beating nairo, elegant sending leo to losers, leo beating zero on losers. This year is pretty much over, nobody is gonna top this.
The back air at 20:26 should have been it. Elegant was robbed in my opinion. The punish reverse setup was perfect and the back air sent him the other way?
Because...it hit the back side of the bair... his face... which still has a hitbox but it's a sour spot...so it sent him the other way. Lousy spacing in an intense moment
Luigi gets dominated by clouds bair, nair and up air in the neutral and luigi can't do shit. Cloud can get you to 70% with up airs, camp you out and then cross slash you at 70. Luigi needs a ton of hits and stuff to get you to 60%, and he can't kill cloud until 100% generally. Cloud buries Luigi. Also. Don't mention Luigis down b gimp. He can only pull that off very rarely if he wins the neutral, and if you lose the neutral as a cloud to a Luigi, you should not be getting into top 32
I don't know about you guys, but I never get tired of all the cloud players! They're all so unique in their play style and are so interesting to watch. I'm so impressed that mkleo unlocked his true potential and finally beat Elegant in one of luigis worst matchups! Mkleo is so talented!
16:30 you can see Elegant test different shark methods. This is a no win situation so he opts out entirely. He has to commit to a full hop up air which Leo can react to and airdodge out. Elegant has to mix up his aggressive timing and pattern to catch Leo off guard when really it's a 50/50. If Leo spaces Nair or Dair the sword catches Luigi's hurtbox everytime. He can also opt out with Limit Charge. This is a Loss-No Win situation.
Oh, and to remedy this Elegant can run far enough away that Leo can press forward to approach. If Elegant predicts this timing he can run forward in time with Leo closing enough distance for a well spaced fair. RAR Bair would be too slow unless you dash twice and perfect pivot short hop bair. Midstage is open, and neither player wants it.
That bair didn't kill because Cloud was almost on Luigi's head, basically at the opposite limit of Luigi's bair hitbox, hence why he went the other way. This is how it works in almost every fighting game. Elegant positioned himself poorly, unfortunately.

This is easily set of the year. This had me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. My heart couldn't take it. Sad Elegant didn't win... But man this is still a performance to be proud of.
Neither Tweek nor Leo won a major, but right now people love to just counterpick Leo at this point. He got bodied by Nairo and Tweek's Bowser and DK, and both are great counter to Cloud imo. I can see Leo struggling in the future after people figure this out or Nairo and Tweek use heavy weights against Leo more often. Not to mention Leo's playstyle is countered by heavy weights. And yes, Leo is less consistent than Tweek. Tweek got top 5 in most S and A tier events, where Leo often chokes a bit. Remember Leo got 65th at Evo? Yeah...

Yes he took some of the big names in Smash at this tourney, but there are still *so* many other top players he has yet to pull a victory off of and I'm concerned that he has already hit his peak here. Elegant has to mix up his aggressive timing and pattern to catch Leo off guard when really it's a 50/50. If Leo spaces Nair or Dair the sword catches Luigi's hurtbox everytime. He can also opt out with Limit Charge. This is a Loss-No Win situation.
Oh, and to remedy this Elegant can run far enough away that Leo can press forward to approach. If Elegant predicts this timing he can run forward in time with Leo closing enough distance for a well spaced fair. RAR Bair would be too slow unless you dash twice and perfect pivot short hop bair. Midstage is open, and neither player wants it.
That was a very intense moment and if he played bad he could’ve lost the game 🥵

That bair didn't kill because Cloud was almost on Luigi's head, basically at the opposite limit of Luigi's bair hitbox, hence why he went the other way. This is how it works in almost every fighting game. Elegant positioned himself poorly, unfortunately.

This is easily set of the year. This had me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. My heart couldn't take it. Sad Elegant didn't win... But man this is still a performance to be proud of.

never said something else. I personally think tweek has the best cloud in the world, yet he has not won any S tier event yet.

Neither Tweek nor Leo won a major, but right now people love to just counterpick Leo at this point. He got bodied by Nairo and Tweek's Bowser and DK, and both are great counter to Cloud imo.
I can see Leo struggling in the future after people figure this out or Nairo and Tweek use heavy weights against Leo more often. Not to mention Leo's playstyle is countered by heavy weights.
And yes, Leo is less consistent than Tweek. Tweek got top 5 in most S and A tier events, where Leo often chokes a bit. Remember Leo got 65th at Evo? Yeah...
The FungusFriend I'm pretty sure Tweek is positive or even in Cloud dittos, and Nairo can beat Leo without Bowser, but he is negative vs Leo with ZSS Cloud.

Same. My biggest worry for Elegant at this point is that the result he achieved here turns out to be a fluke. Yes he took some of the big names in Smash at this tourney, but there are still *so* many other top players he has yet to pull a victory off of and I'm concerned that he has already hit his peak here. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
Elegant is such a character. You have to admit he's so entertaining to watch.
