Just listening to this, while I turned 30 not long ago, and I know I have to go back to college and continue with master degree in arts, I know my calling is being an artist and yet I try to postpone it, try to convince myself I should first study smth else, that will just guarantee me a better job in technology than this job I already have and don't like, but yet that deep calling of the soul is art and I already know exactly what I have to create, but yet I am afraid. It so ridiculous when we try to convince ourselves we sould do smth else but deep down we already know what is our calling. I can relate so much to Deb's story about going back to school with younger people, even thinking about it I already feel like I am too old. :) funny...

It was a funny synchronicity that yesterday I checked to see if you had made an episode on 'vocation' and here it is the next day! You continue to inspire with the much-needed and relevant content that you put out. Thank you. I've recently become a Patron too to show my support.

I recently got a book deal, it's not lucrative but a passion project and the most meaningful thing I've done. I also have endless vitality and energy because of this project which made me finish the book in record time. The vitality has lasted over 2 years now

The big message that I get from this is that extreme capitalism is harmful for our souls and our mental health. People don’t feel able to take the risk in a culture where you end up with nothing out on the street if things go wrong.

We should stand up for Ukraine but also for the countries which have suffered and are still suffering as a result of Western imperialism and colonisation. (I.e. Palestine which has suffered under horrific conditions for decades.) Do we think those invasions were any less brutal? We must be cautious of any mental blind spots.

There’s a calling you’re meant to partake in
If only the soul can awaken
    The force must be stirred
So your voice can be heard
When the saltiest hand has been shaken

Can dreams inform you of your vocation?

Yes, that is possible, but it's best to think of dreams as symbolic and not literal.
