One of Corey's best screams in this song.
Even the way he says “Marlon Brando’s EYES” is so great. People love the Iowa vocals because it’s so raw, but I think it goes super hard on self titled
Tane Rameka two different types of screams for sure, both brutal in their own right. The raspiness in Self-titled and the microphone he used caters for that also.
@Tane Rameka metabolic and get this.
the scream at the end of this song is the hardest scream he's ever recorded. period.
Also one of the best kegs in this song.
Can’t think of many songs that hit harder than this
Mortician - Cremated
Sixpence none the richer
Kiss me
Viscera - Lamb to the Slaughter
People=💩
Lorna Shore - To the Hellfire
Mental Cruelty - Death Worship
Distant - The Eternal Lament
All of these are very heavy.
probably my favorite slipknot song.
4:40 that breakdown riff is the best ever!!!...and slowed down is even more brutal!!!! Love!!!
"You Can't See California Without Marlon Brando's Eyes" are the best lyrics ever!!!
since 1999 this song is my fave from all Slipknot's albums...(along with Get This)!!
You suck
They sucks
Guess what???!!!
Get fucked
You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes 👀
Well maybe you wouldn’t need a new eye Corey if you didn’t push your fingers into them
But he have to, it's the only thing that stop the ache
If only he could realize, its made of all the things he has to take.
Jesus.....it never ends.......
it works it way inside:(
Smart move
this song is the reason i started playing drums
finally eyeless!!!!
Oh yes. The almighty Eyeless.
Favourite song, by far !
Soulfly - Jumpdafuckup feat Corey Taylor
That would be a Great one for them to react to. 😁
Big one thaar!
Adam Castillo hell to the FUCK YEAH dude that song is dope as f@#k🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of their best. A classic.
Since you are Christians you might find it interessting that the drumbeat in the intro is the most used sample of all time.
The Amen Break
Its called the Amen Break because its sampled from a song Amen Brother by The Winstons.
It was an important sample in Hiphop, it spawned Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Breakcore. And was also heavily used in Rave, Hardcore Techno, Digital Hardcore etc.
And via a Jungle track even in Slipknot.
That gospel band never could have predicted this when they recorded the song in 1969.
I waited so long for you guys to do the song i so happy now
One of my favorite classic Slipknot songs
The Marlon brando line was shouted at them by a homeless man and Clown and Corey wrote it down and agreed they had to use it in a song.
The 'it's all in your head' line was what Corey's therapists used to tell him when he was in a dark place.
A clown?
@@soloparaplaystation6624 clown is part of the band
Corey was in LA, he saw a homeless man running down the street screaming that
God dude Slipknot is so misunderstood. I hate to see it massacred by these hicks. I’m a hate watcher of these dudes by trade.
Vin and Sori be having all the good songs on. Been listening to a lot of old Slipknot lately
The part when Corey says "look me in my brand new eye" it is so funny for us spanish speakers because We hear something like "yo me llamo Pablo!!" and is like My name is Pablo! Haha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seen these guys in 99 on the ozzfest small stage.. knew something was gonna blow up instantly
Bro fr???
My favorite band and song and favorite people on UA-cam Good Luck guys
Joeys drumming here is eargasmic
Moonspell - Full Moon Madness
Luv slipknot huge fan
I’ve been waiting for this reaction for forever this song is fucking awesome
We Love You!!!! You did this!!! You did it!!!!
That whole album is raw emotion. Slipknot really helped me deal with my anger, melancholy and issues at home and school. The only voice teens had when noone was willing to let you speak.🤘 Kids can be really jaded. However, as a parent I feel you have to listen to why she's depressed, why he doesn't want to go to church, etc,..I reconciled with my father when I went to college years ago. I was raised by my mom who's ex boyfriend was always arguing with her and threatening us.
Now as a father myself I try to provide that open form of communication that I just didn't have. I couldn't talk to my dad about anything back then. Questioning religion I got yelled at. Parents do the best they can so I don't harbor resentment. I just learn from their mistakes and mine from back then.
Fair play to you, brother. Good vibes
Favorite song by them, short, sweet and super heavy ! Can't see California without Marlon Brandos eyes is something that Corey heard a homeless guy say when he was in California. He couldn't get this out of his head so he put it on this song
I seen them in concert back in 99. This was the first song i heard on the way to the venue! Little did i know for the long road i was in for🤘
My favourite album of Slipknot
Excellent 👍 💪🤟🤟🤟
Watching this all away from the UK
Killer song🤘🤘🎸
Great review!!! I've been hoping you would get round to Eyeless one day. It's my favourite Slipknot song. It's so heavy and raw. Absolutely love it!!!
Ian Aspie of the village I agree Ian! It’s just so much pain and associated rage being emoted here by Coreys’ old visceral, fast paced screaming style. Paired with the constant ups and downs..it’s truly a metal rollercoaster of a track, to which there is no true comparison.
A melhor music do slipknot
Saludos desde Uruguay. Los miro cada vez que suben un vídeo porque me encanta sus reacciones, es de los pocos canales con reacciones genuinas.
¡SLIPKNOT FOREVER!
Los latinos estamos en todos lados.Saludos desde Venezuela hermano
Pero no les entiendo el review
Fun fact. Corey didn't come up with "You can't see California without marlyon Brando's eyes" while they were recording the song. A homeless person down the street was screaming it out loud. Corey decided too put it in the song.
I know exactly what you're talking about. I m 35 and going through the same shit. I m losing my daughter and its tough. Gotta stay strong though.
11/10, but that’s because it’s my favorite song, from my favorite record..and probably for nostalgic reasons as it was my first CD.
YESSSSSSSSSS!!! It ain’t eeyore but it’s just as good!
Great reaction guys!
Vin& Sorry (Override) from Slipknot is 🔥🔥
LORNA SHORE "Immortal"
Vin e sori valeu, abraços, Aluízio Brasil
Nice choice ❤
This song brings me back to my teen years lol.
Would love to see you guys react to Bad Omens - Limits
Yessssaaa
4:40 he's playing air guitar and doing bendings before , and later , same riff but with slides ..
that's how you know if he plays guitar or not ...
yes he does .. haha
If you watch them play it live they do bend the note. Besides its too smooth for slides, you would hear the semi note change when they passed over the fret
He knows the song!!! Whoop Whoop!!?!
Slliipppp knoahhhhtttt 🤘🏾😬🤘🏾
Slipknot- Get this
FINALLY
Cory Good at what he do
It would be interesting to see you guys react to Tattered and Torn.
Please do Jumpdafuckup by Soulfly feat. Corey Taylor 😁 pretty please 😇 The father stuff from Eyeless always hit me a lot, I only met my biological father when I was 24 years old, I'm 29 now and we are finally talking and building a relationship but when we first met we didn't see eye to eye. I love this song still, it doesn't hit like it used to, but I still feel the lyrics and remember how things were when I was younger. When your younger these things just chew away at you and make you like nothing but it becomes motivation over time. Whether it's in the gym or you use your anger in a beneficial way to push yourself, there's positives no matter what
Disasterpiece by slipknot would be another great one to do by them!!
You guys should check out Shrine of Malice! I think you might find them interesting since you did great videos on Behemoth a while back. Their songs "Beelzebub" and "Lord of Flies" are both really interesting lyrically and musically.
Took you long enough guys! :D
Left to Suffer did a sick deathcore cover of this!
Homies heard this before for suuuuure
React to more slipknot please
Baroness - Chlorine and Wine 😁💜
Fantastic band. Always heavy and does the trick. Next Fear Factory or Machine head? 😆
React to more Pantera! There’s so much more!! “It Makes them Disappear” or “We’ll Grind That Axe for a Long Time” are super underrated off their last album, Reinventing the Steel!
Or suicide note pt.2 i know its from the great southern trendkill
Straight to the front of the line... For Free!!!! This is exactly what I want!!!?! YAAAAAAH!!!!!!
corey said this song is about being younger and being told that your problems dont matter, whatever issues your dealing with and having a quote un quote quarter pointed therapist tell you its all in your head, thats where that line comes from its all in your head , coz it gets to the point where its like no its not all in my head, and you cant see California without marlon brandos eyes was such a metaphor for what real physco therapy used to be back then, and the fact that they just couldn't relate to these really gnarly angry teens who just wanna destroy everything,
GG ALLIN live video review please
Vin, it looks like you have lost some weight, looking leaner there, keep it up! Great reaction as always by you both.
I Love Me Some VIN N SORI!!!!!!! 😋💯😋😂😂😂😘😘😘💯💯💯💋💋💋

It's very different...
Do A Hill To Die Upon Adept In Divinity. They are blackened death metal.
vin and sori, when he says “you can’t see California without marlo Brando’s eyes” it’s in the song because, when the band were in California they were walking past a street and a homeless person yelled that at them, when they got back to Iowa to record clown had wrote that down on a piece of paper and told Corey “ we should put this in a song”!
Edit: I wasn’t fully through the video when I said this, I said this after u said about walking in coreys shoes, so I didn’t know that You knew about the homeless man sorry!
This kinda could’ve been part of the freak show at extreme rules for one of the matches lol
This album is a masterpiece! Great react 🤟🇧🇷 Slipknot 4life!
Please, react LAMB OF GOD - Resurrection Man
That's what Dads do.
This is Slipknot at their best. Lost interest after All Hope Is Gone. Buenos dias Vin and Sori🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾 Fuck the World!!!!! 😜
As far as the Marlon Brando line, Corey heard a homeless person repeating that line over and over and it put the hook in him....
Hey can you guys do ghost again like mummy dust or spirit both very good songs like if u agree
More doom/gothic metal
My dying Bride - the wreckage of my flesh
Paradise Lost - No Hope in sight
Anathema - Sleepless
Trail of Tears - Fragile Emotional Disorder
Empyrium - Ode to melancholy
Katatonia - Rainroom
Forest of Shadows - Silent Cry
O.N.A - Nie to nie
I find it awkward how one can write such deranged stuff and still be sane.
React to S∆INT ∆SONI∆ - Ghost
Nice reaction..,Can you react Goodbye Agony By BVB this song is very gooooooooood..
I always forget how hard this album bitch slaps you until I blast it lol I guess I just over played it when I was younger. Whenever a track pops up I'm like Aaahhhhh shiiiittt there's that shit! Then my gf looks at me funny in the car and hides her face from the world. Good shit lol
