I feel like OFAH really is one of them shows that doesn't do 'clips' very well. It's entirely based on the excellent writing and brilliant acting. You almsot feel as if the characters are people you know and like. It started off as just a sitcom but became much more than that. It became a comedy drama.

The character with the white beard is Uncle Albert, Grandad's brother. He was brought in when the actor playing Grandad died. The writer, John Sullivan, didn't want to recast the character, so he wrote an episode where Grandad dies, and at the funeral (filmed only a few weeks after the cast had attended Leonard Pierce's actual funeral) the brothers meet their Uncle, who other relatives then dump on them and he ends up living with them. One of the greatest Only Fools scenes, is where Uncle Albert has to act shocked at Rodney taking a girl to the pictures, well worth finding and reacting to.

On the Bar scene: John Sullivan wrote it as the night before production he had been at the local pub and witnessed someone nearly do exactly this; when he told David Jason (Del Boy) about it; Jason was adamant that unlike that man - del boy had to fall through the bar.
also years later when Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) fronted his own Iconic Sit-com, Goodnight Sweetheart, as a tribute to this moment & John Sullivan, he included a scene whereby his character very nearly repeats Del's mistake only to break the 4th wall and give an old tap of the head to the camera before lowering the bar.

It was a thing in the 80s but short lived when the stocks crashed and they all found themselves doing mundane jobs. The one clip they didn't put on there was the chandelier. The bar gag is timeless as the chandelier. Also a mention for the Wendy House joke that got the show's biggest audience laugh, so much that the cast often referred lines in the script they thought would get a big laugh as a 'Wendy'. 10.19 the famous Batman & Robin scenes were filmed in Bristol, not Peckham (the show's later seasons filmed a lot in Bristol).

Only fools is definitely a series I think you should do in full. Others that have, have used Dailymotion to upload onto.

Yeah I think you missed a couple of episodes after they got rich in the Christmas trilogy in 1996. But I'll let you watch them ones definitely called strangers on the shore and I can't remember if there was one more. I'll have to check out my boxset collection of only fools and horses. It's been a long time since I last checked them out myself. So I give you a heads up on the title.

As a bit of extra information. That "fancy dress party" they were going to (dressed as Batman and Robin) was actually a wake. Del boy had been setup by his friend Boysie, so there were plenty more laughs to be had in that episode.

I’m not sure that it was so much of a set up - I think it was originally a fancy dress party but that then became a wake because Harry had died and nobody told Del and Rodney. It’s been a while since I watched it though so I could be wrong.

Little bit of info for you, trigger was originally not supposed to be in that scene where del fell through the bar, John Sullivan wrote him into the scene, as trigger wanted to be in it

Rodney has just started appearing in the reboot of Fraiser. Kelsey wanted him so much to be in it.

A yuppie was slang for young urban professionals ,also there was never an american comedy series now or in the past that compared to only fools and horses and in my opinion only fools and horses was the greatest comedy series ever to come out of the uk.
