Very good informative video, marking the lock rings for the spindle is worth doing, soon after I purchased my new lathe it came loose good that I had marked it clearly!
Good vid think you should have mentioned that the Hall sensor only works with one face of the magnet normally the south pole on my set up I use an old mobile phone charger a good power source !

I would be interested to do the variable speed motor installation too. i have a boxford but the motor has been changed to a 240 volt that is underpowered, so it wont run under load at the higher speed. I suspect the gear ratio was changed too. Will a .75 hp motor bee enough? I suppose we will find out.

No I did not find a way to reduce the number of decimal places.
