  • I am showing how I setup and use my MFJ 20m to 70cm telescopic dipole for #hamradio.
I then also do a quick test using my #RigExpert Stick Pro analyzer to see what other band coverage it offers.
I have successfully used this for HF portable deployments like #pota and #fieldday
    MFJ-347 dipole mount
    MFJ-1979 whips
    MFJ-1919EX tripod/mast

I'm doing something similar. I use a 24ft extendable painters pole and hang my AH-705 tuner at the top and extend a pair of 6m wires off the tuner in an inverted V configuration. The AH-705 will match the wires on all bands 80m thru 6m. ICOM claims the tuner with two 5m wires will do the same and those MFJ whips are about 5m long so I might get teo of them and try it.

2 wolf river coil "sporty 40 coils" could get you on 40. Cost 60 bucks for 2 coils.

Any idea how this would work vertical on 20?

Good question. I've never tried it in that configuration but I would expect it to work well, with a lower angle of radiation.

Very interesting setup. What transceiver are you using? And how many watts at 20m? Thx & 73 de KK6IPR, Charles in Fremont, CA.

      Thanks for watching.
I've used it with different radios. QRP like the IC-705 and 100 Watts with my FT-891.
